THANK YOU MOMMMMM
The late afternoon sun cast a golden glow over the streets of Antwerp as Elena, Dominic, and Justice wandered through the city, coffees in hand.
It was one of those rare moments where they could just be, without the stress of filming schedules or memorizing lines.
But, of course, the trio being the trio, peace didn't last long.
"I'm just saying," Dominic argued, gesturing wildly with his half-empty cup, "if the world were to end, zombies would be the worst way to go."
Justice scoffed, shaking his head. "No way. An asteroid impact would be worse—instant destruction, total annihilation."
Elena, trailing slightly behind them, wasn't even listening.
She was too focused on her phone, her fingers tapping quickly across the screen, a soft smile tugging at her lips.
Mason: Let me guess... you're out with Dominic and Justice right now?
Elena: Wow, are you psychic or just a really good guesser?
Mason: I just know you, Star Girl.
Her stomach fluttered at the nickname. shaking her head as she typed back.
Elena: Lemme guess—you're sitting in your hotel room pretending to be productive?
Mason: Maybe.
Elena let out a small laugh, her gaze glued to the screen.
Mason: Also, let me guess again—Dom is saying something stupid, and Justice is pretending he's smarter than everyone?
She had to clamp a hand over her mouth to keep from laughing.
Elena: You really do know us too well.
Dominic suddenly spun around, eyes narrowing at her. "Okay, no, hold on—why are you smiling like that?"
Justice turned too, following Dominic's gaze to her phone. His eyes immediately widened. "Oh my God. She's texting Mason again."
Elena's head snapped up. "What? No, I'm—"
Before she could even finish her sentence, Dominic lunged for her phone. She dodged him at the last second, spinning away and clutching it to her chest.
Justice smirked. "Yup. Definitely Mason."
Elena groaned. "You two are so nosy."
"We have a right to be nosy," Dominic said, crossing his arms. "We're your fake best friends while your real best friends are back home."
Justice nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we've been promoted to temporary Alex and Amelia while you're stuck with us."
Elena rolled her eyes, tucking her phone into her back pocket. "Oh, please. You two are nothing like them."
"Excuse me?" Dominic gasped dramatically. "We are way better."
Justice nudged him. "You were just arguing about zombies."
"Exactly!" Dominic said, grinning. "I bring entertainment to this friendship."
Elena shook her head, amused. "Uh-huh. Sure."
Justice gave her a look. "But seriously. What's the deal with Mason?"
Elena hesitated. "What do you mean?"
Justice shrugged. "I mean... you never shut up about him when we first got here, then for like two weeks, you barely mentioned him, and now you're smiling at your phone like some lovesick fool."
Dominic smirked. "Yeah, spill. Are you two a thing or what?"
Elena paused, unsure of how to answer. Because the truth was—she didn't really know. Mason had been so distant for weeks, but now? He was texting her again, calling her Star Girl like nothing had changed.
"...We're just friends," she said eventually.
Justice snorted. "Yeah, okay. And I'm the next Batman."
Dominic grinned. "I give it two weeks before one of you cracks."
Elena rolled her eyes. "Let's just go eat."
"Fine, but this conversation isn't over," Dominic warned, leading them toward a burger place they had spotted earlier.
Elena sighed, but deep down?
She didn't really mind.
