"Garret?" I ask.
"Hm?" He turns.
"Are you okay?" I ask.
"Fine." He turns and walks ahead of me.
I grip my arm nervously. He seems more stressed. He seems more tense. Did I make him angry? I wouldn't have. I don't think I made him angry. I hope I didn't. The wind feels calm but also cold. I grip my arms. We walk to the edge of the Forbidden Forest. I see this huge shape. This wall. This... thing? Camelot?
"It's... beautiful." I breathe.
"I'd imagine so." Garret sighs.
"Did I do something wrong?" I ask.
"No, no, no. It's just that. I don't belong." He says.
"Why?" I ask.
"I'm... different." Garret says.
"Why?" I ask.
"I just... am." Garret sighs.
"How so?" I ask.
"I don't act the same way." Garret sighs.
"Are you half goat?" I ask.
"No..." He says.
"Do you have big ears?" I ask.
"No." He says.
I walk up to him.
"So why are you different?" I place my hand on his cheek.
"I... guess I don't know." He sighs.
"At least you're not half goat. I'm a creature." I say.
He lifts my head up.
"Not the way I see it." He presses his lips into mine.
My heart almost jumps out of my chest. I wrap my arms around him. The wind is warm. His hands are so soft. I feel so much better now. I feel so much happier. A warm feeling bubbles up from inside of me.
"Ah love." Devon mutters.
Our faces separate.
"We should get the sword back." Garret says.
"Together." I say.
