"Are you sure you know where we're going?" I ask.
"Of course. You doubt me?" He looks at me.
"No, no, no." I draw back.
"I'd like to say that we're most likely all going to die." Cornwall says.
"You're so morbid. How can you be so cold blooded?" Devon hisses.
"I'm a reptile. SSS." Cornwall hisses.
"Sh. Quiet you two." Garret says.
I then hear heavy growling. He leads us into a tunnel. A tunnel with bones littering the ground. I grip my arms. My ears were twitching. I can hear the breathing of the ogre. It's terrifying. It's blood curdling. It's...
"It's okay." Garret takes my hand.
"Okay." I whisper.
"How do we know when we'll be able to see the ogre?" Devon asks.
I see the stone creature moves.ย
"I think we'll know." Cornwall whispers.
"Carefully and quietly." Garret says.
I nod. I try to move quietly but hooves aren't made to be silent. I try to move them softly. Garret takes my hand. I nod at him. We move to the center of the ledge. I peer out from the stone. I can see the massive figure.
"Whoa." I mutter.
"Do you see the sword?" He whispers.
"I... think so? I think he's picking his teeth with it." I say.
I start to have an idea. I take out my pipe. I start playing it. Softly. I think I can lull him to sleep. I think I can calm the ogre. I wish I can make it less terrifying. I hope this works. I watch the ogre place the sword on a ledge. He curls up. His sheer force knocks me into Garret.
"I think he fell asleep." Cornwall says.
"The ledge... it's like twenty feet." I say.
Garret then moves to Devon and Cornwall. He starts feeling around Cornwall's head.
"Uh... Garret?" I raise my ear.
"I have an idea." Garret points his stick to Devon and Cornwall.
