Chapter XII
First person pov
It had been days since I saw Kore — it was because I'm mostly home with Bella and Charlie, everyday I've been away from her it felt like my heart was being punched from my chest. Everytime I scratch at the door and bark — I wonder to myself why I'm like this, I'm never like this.
I noticed that Bella was starting to get worried about me, I didn't mean to make her worry about me — whenever she was working on her paper while Charlie fell asleep from the television with a can of beer in hand.
While for me? I just lay in bed with my stuffed deer next to me — my eyes were settled in the distance while my ears were pin back at the sounds of people talking on the television, I let out a deep sigh as I closed my eyes.

Today Charlie was going fishing with Billy — he usually is gone about two to three days, Bella was on the phone with Jacob, or well trying.
Ever since the movie theater Jacob had been ignoring Bella for the past five days — Bella was worried for him, just like me. "Okay. We should be back around 3:00." Charlie spoke to his daughter. But Bella remained silent as she put down her phone.
Charlie sighs, "Hey. Look, I don't have to go fishing today."
"Yes, you do." Billy interjected.
"Yeah, you do. Go. What are you talking about?" Bella spoke. "Just be careful."
"Always am." Charlie then packs up his things while I watch from my bed. He gave me a scratch on my head.
"Those bears won't get the drop on me, Bella." Billy told her. "My kung fu is strong." I chuckle at that.
"Oh! Don't forget Artemis's appointment today at 11:00." Damn the vets, Charlie made an appointment for a checkup. I was fine, there's nothing wrong with me.

Alas she eventually took me to the Vet, as I predicted I was fine aside from needing shots which I hate.
Bella wanted to make a quick pit spot to check on Jacob at the rez, it was raining so it was getting cold. I saw Jacob wearing nothing but shorts, his once long hair was cut short. How is he not cold?
"Stay here." Bella told me as she got out of the car.
I watched from the car as they spoke to one another but the rain made it difficult to hear what they're saying, I sigh as I just watch them.
I then noticed something white in the forest, it was Kira.
What the hell is she doing out here?
I wanted to go out with her but I couldn't leave Bella behind, she was in so much pain from being away from Edward and now I guess Jacob.
She got inside the truck, wiping the rain away from her face with her sleeves — I lifted myself up, walked towards her which was only a foot away and licked her face. She wrapped her arms around my neck and wept into my fur. "I'm here Bella," I whisper in her ear but she could only hear my whines. "I'm here."

The next few days when Charlie came home, Bella was out looking for a field of flowers her and Edward used to go together. I wanted to go with her to provide protection but she said no and wanted to be alone.
As a good boy, I obeyed my owner's commands and stayed.
An hour later she came home, she looked like she'd seen a ghost or something unexplained. She tells her father about how she saw wolves — bigger than a bear almost, it sounded intriguing. The only wolf I've seen was Kore's mother and she seems like the average size of a wolf, so was she an offspring of sorts to these wolves?
Charlie is semi of a believer to this, but he'll take his daughter's words and go investigate this.
Bella looks down at me, "Do you believe me?" She asks.
To tell you the truth, I'm not so sure. I think there might be large wolves out there but she could've seen a bear that's mistaken for wolves. I just nod my head at her, receiving a pat on my head.
