𝓝ICKNAMES FROM THEIR NAMES !!

𝓒𝑯𝑨𝑹𝑳𝑰𝑬::
❪ char, charchar ❫ ⸺ it's just a shortened version of her english name and it's, by far, the most used nicknames of hers. Most people have, or will, at some point call her Char, but the very first person to use it was her older brother.

❪ charcoal, chip, cheese, cheddar ❫ ⸺ these originally come from Charlie and Char, but they're like more memey nicknames. Her friends back in Canada constantly used these for her, chip and cheddar especially, and somehow now -- years later -- they're still being used by both members, friends, siblings and fans. These are antoher bunch of regularly used nicknames, just the more goofy kind.

❪ charles ❫ ⸺ comes from their name being Charlie, which is a very common nickname for people named Charles. One of their old teachers (their favourite teacher actually) would call them this and if it was on accident or on purpose to goof around nobody knows. This is something their friends and siblings picked up on, and now both members and fans use it to be funny, or in situations where they want to "use their full name". Not used as much as the previously mentioned nicknames.

❪ charlotte ❫ ⸺ same as the Charles nickname, except it's not as used. Both Charlie themselves and their friends prefer Charles, but Charlotte is still used from time to time. Older fans have been able to convince newer fans that this actually is her birth name, which is how it still sticks around. In 2024 there are still fans who are convinced Charlotte is actually her name who think people saying it's not are just trying to gaslight them. Heartbreaking stuff really </3.

❪ char charms ❫ ⸺ originally some of her friends back in school started calling her this due to her insane charisma, chaos and ability to charm people. After she left Canada nobody really called her this... until fans picked up on those same charms and all of a sudden there'd be compilations upon compilations with titles like "13 minutes of the char charms" and "just charlie and her char charms".

❪ charizard, chari, charms, charm/charmie ❫ ⸺ it comes from char as well as the previously mentioned char charms. Soon enough, it turned into just "charm" or "charms" (which admittedly isnt as commonly used, but the members like to go charmie~ every now and then). It also developed into Charizard, which is due to "char charms" sounding just a little bit like someone saying charizard, and i mean hey, pokemon is pokemon. Charlie being an annoying ahh human being also began saying "chari chari" over and over, just like how pokemon say their names.

𝓞𝑻𝑯𝑬𝑹::
❪ ying ❫ ⸺ comes from Yingyue. The chinese half of her family started calling her this when she literally was a baby, and now most people actually just call her Ying instead of Yingyue. In Chinese, they'd usually write it as 婴 instead of 映, which means infant or baby. Her Chinese relatives were, of course, the ones who started using this as the spelling too.

❪ euna ❫ ⸺ comes from eunmin, it's one of their lesser used nicknames and most people just call them eunmin when they refer to them in Korean. Their members and other Korean friends like to call them "Euna~~" in a like.. teasing or cute way, and if Charlie uses it it's usually for aegyo or trying to irritate their members.

❪ min, minmin ❫ ⸺ it comes from eunmin, and it's used to least out of like.... all their nicknames. It's mainly just some people writing fanfics who use these nicknames to add some... spice? Since apparently all the beautiful nicknames derived from Charlie and Char aren't enough for some fanfic writers ToT.

❪ gui, ghost ❫ ⸺ one of the characters in their chinese surname 魏, translates to ghost -- 鬼. their chinese speaking friends, as well as some cousins, like to call them Gui because of it. Sometimes they're also called Ghost or Ghostie, but Gui is the most common nickname.

𝓝ICKNAMES FROM ERRR... OTHER STUFF !!

𝓔𝑹𝑹𝑹𝑴::
❪ stargirl, our star, starrie ❫ ⸺ fans like to call her this because SHES A STAR <3 no but she adores stars, and space, and astronomy, and all of that, and if she can she will always have stars on her in the form of accessories or make-up or just on her clothes. she also has tattoos of stars and is in general just.... a big star enjoyer, it's basically only the fandom that uses these nicknames.

❪ xier 邪儿❫ ⸺ her chinese relatives started calling her this when she was a kid as it means great, awesome, or excellent, as as she is very well-loved by her relatives, esp the chinese ones as she's the first child of her generation, they all felt it fit. now, her chinese friends and fans use it for her every now and then.

❪ nerd, loser, dork ❫ ⸺ lovingly, Charlie is a nerd, a loser, a dork. pretty much everything about Charlie and their intrests is just.... nerd. She's a loser, a nerd, and a silly bean. They just have "nerdy" intrests and do "nerdy" things. Both their friends and fans call them this in a lighthearted and loving way.

❪ rizzler, rizz haver ❫ ⸺ Charlie is part of the The Boyz rizz line, and thats final. After the term rizz started being used fans like immediatly started commenting about "Charlie's rizz", and soon the fandom had just decided that she was the rizzler of The Boyz. It's a bit like charms or char charms, since that comes from charisma and yk rizz means charisma, but it incorporates their chaotic energy a little bit more.

❪ yapper ❫ ⸺ Charlie is simply.... a yapper. She talks, and talks, and talks, and talks, and once she starts talking she doesn't stop. She can ramble on a topic for so long that you forget how she even ended up on that topic. Fans have now decided that she is the main yapper of The Boyz.

❪ silly goose, goof/goofy ❫ ⸺ simply because they're a big ahh goof, just a silly silly goose!! Friends and fans, as well as Charlie themselves, call them this from time to time, but it's mainly fans who use it in compilations and stuff.

❪ pipeline punch, pipeline char ❫ ⸺ it's one of her favourite monster energy flavours and one of the ones she's seen with the most, because of this both members, other friends and fans started calling her this jokingly and it has become sort of an inside joke. She's also sometimes called "Pipleline Char".

❪ creeper, chreeper ❫ ⸺ Charlie loves all things horror and creepypasta, with a love for general horror media, horror stories, and horror games, they're especially a fan of analog horror and arg stuff, and they constantly!!! bring up horror and creepypasta things because of their huge interest for it. The whole "creeper/chreeper" thing originates from Minecraft, which is a game she plays and posts content of a lot too, but it started being used because of the creep part of it. Mainly friends and members call them this from time to time, and as of right now fans haven't really picked up on it.

❪ the artists muse, our muse, deobis muse ❫ ⸺ fans like to call her this due to it being a well-known fact that multiple other artists have gotten inspired by her, the best example of this and when the nickname properly started was when a webtoon artist took major inspiration from her to make one of their characters; Yoon Jisu for Sweet Home, and in their notes they jokingly called Charlie "their muse". In 2020, when the comic was getting a kdrama adaptation, Charlie was able to get the role of Yoon Jisu and made her acting debut.

𝓕𝑰𝑪𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵𝑨𝑳 𝓒𝑯𝑨𝑹𝑨𝑪𝑻𝑬𝑹𝑺::

❪ wei ying, wuxian, wei wuxian, wei gongzi ❫ ⸺ from the beloved MDZS character Wei Wuxian/WWX. People started calling them this because 1 - their surname is wei, 2 - charlie is commonly called ying, 3 - charlie talks about mdzs a lot, and 4- both charlie herself and a lot of her friends (and fans tbh) like mdzs. On top of this, Charlie's way of behaving and the chaotic sunshine vibes just really align with Wei Wuxian. Both friends and fans started using this around when mdzs was getting popular, and so it's used by both fans and friends who jokingly call her this! To be honest, she really likes it as she absolutely adores both mdzs and every other mxtx work.

❪ prongs, james potter, mr.potter ❫ ⸺ upon discovering that their surname "noh" means deer Charlie, being a big enjoyer and an og fan of the marauders, pretty much instantly began making their friends call them Prongs 😭. Nowadays, it's mainly just Charlie calling themselves Prongs but fans and some friends have slightly picked up on it. Honestly it's just Charlie insisting they're prongs, girl discovered her surname meant deer and decided it was destined to be you know? Let's be real though, they do have some James energy, like the dorky mom/dad energy and general chaos? Eh?

❪ sirius, padfoot, mr.black ❫ ⸺ due to their love for stars and due to some of their usual go-to wardrobe giving heavy sirius vibes some friends and fans like calling them Sirius or just yelling "Oy! Mr.Black!". Though yes, Charlie is chaotic and so is Sirius, they themselves don't really feel like they fit the Sirius vibes enough to deserve the nickname, so they instead insist on Prongs.

❪ marble, miss memory loss, masky ❫ ⸺ they watched marble hornets as it was getting released back in 2009 up until it ended, and they fucking loved that shit. it was genuinely the start of their love for horror and creepypasta, and how they got into the slenderverse and classic creepypasta stories. from the very start of the series, they loved the character tim, which made the friends they were watching it "with" start calling them tim or masky. It died down after the others stopped being interested in marble hornets, but after Charlie rewatched Marble Hornets on a stream years and years later, fans began calling them Masky (tim) from time to time because she told the story of her friends using it. More commonly, fans have used Marble or Miss Memory Loss -- Marble from, well, Marble Hornets, and Miss Memory Loss because Charlie honestly tends to have a pretty shit memory, which then made it a little fun to blend in a plot point with their personality. These nicknames have sort of died down and aren't really used.

❪ spiderman, peter parker ❫ ⸺ charlie is a huge (HUGE) fan of spiderman (james potter anyone?) and so fans and members jokingly call her spiderman or peter parker from time to time. It's not something they're really seriously called, but it's a common enough "reference" fans make.

❪ draculaura, frankie ❫ ⸺ fans decided that, hey you know what? Charlie has monster high energy. However, they cant settle on whether she's more of a draculaura or a frankie, and so both are used. Once again, it's not something she's really called that much and especially not all the time, but it's a common "reference" for them or something fans like to make edits of.
