Avoid mistakes if any....

After the engagement Manik and Nandini got busy into their lives. He was busy in his office work and Nandini started going to her college. Their family already started with the marriage preparation which will be held within 1 and 1/2 month.

It was one ordinary day when Manik was free in his evening time since it is saturday today so half day. Instead of going home he decided to spend some time with Nandini. So he drove his bike towards her college. He knew by 3:30 her college will get over as it is saturday.

He was waiting outside the college gate using his phone. Since he was early by 15 minutes. Taking his earphones out he plugged it into the phone. After 10 minutes his phone rang and he sighed seeing his mother's call.

"Haan maa... Nahi thoda late ho jayega. Bhabhi nahi hai kya ghar pe?" Manik asker and she replied that she and Vivek are gone out. He sighed and said

"Theek hai lata hun." Saiyng this cut the call and looked around. He was busy in his phone when the students started coming out. He was engrossed in his phone so he didn't know.

"Nandini, aaj jo professor ne last mein padhai woh please send kar dena WhatsApp pe." Prachi said to Nandini in return she bobbed her head. They were almost near the gate when Prachi noticed Manik.

"Oye! Jiju yahan kya kar rahe hai?" She asked Nandini. Nandini frowned and looked at the direction that she was pointing. She was surprised seeing him there.

"I don't know." Mumbling it she they both moved towards him. Nandini patted his back and he turned towards her. Seeing both of them he smiled and kept his phone and earphones aside.

"Hello! Apa yahan kaise jiju?" Prachi asked teasingly looking at him and Nandini.

"Woh, bas milne aaya tha...aur kuch baat bhi karni thi Nandini se. How are you?" He asked looking at them to which they said they are fine.

"Acha! Chal Nandu, main chalti hun. Vaise bhi mummy maregi lathi lekar agar jaldi nahi gayi toh. You both enjoy. Bye!" Bidding bye to them she left from there.

"Aapko kya baat karni hai?" She asked looking at him. Manik chuckled seeing her frown.

"Arey! Itna tension mat lo. Abhi let's go to this cafe and talk. Jaruri baat hai." Nandini bobbed her head and they crossed the road and entered into the cafe. They took a corner table and settled opposite to each other. Manik kept staring at her making her smile and look at him back.

In these months they came close and became comfortable. Soon a waiter came towards them to take the order.

"Aap kya lenge?" He asked and Manik looked at Nandini.

"Mmm...one cappuccino and chocolate pastry." Nandini said to which he bobbed his head.

"Cappuccino 2 lana." Manik said and the waiter went to get their order.

"Aap kich khaoge nahi?" Nandini asked to which he said no.

"Wait..." Saying this she opened her bag and took out the tiffin and gave him. He looked at her and opened it only to smile.

"So you are giving me your left over food?" He asked teasingly to which she frowned and said

"Nahi khana toh theek hai. Laiye main vapas rakhti hun." She tried taking it but Manik pulled it away.

"Arey! Baba majak kar raha hun. Tumhare hath ka khana kyun na khaun main? Huh! Aur vaise bhi I love this paneer ke parathe." Manik said making her roll her eyes and chuckle.

"So how was your day?" Nandini asked to which he told.

"It was pretty normal. Was expecting scolding from the boss but it didn't happen. Anyways mujhe tumnse kuch baat karni hai." Before he could continue the waiter came with their order.

"Haan...kahiye." she said taking a bite from the pastry. Manik picked up the cappuccino and sipped it.

"Well, I was thinking to do registration of our wedding. Vaise bhi dedh mahine mein humari shadi ho hi jayegi. Usse pehle let's registrate it." Listening him she was shocked. Because normally registration happens after marriage and not before marriage.

"But...aisw kaise..." He knew her what she was thinking. He kept the tiffin down and said holding her hand.

"Listen Nandini. I don't want to lose a person who is perfect in every term for me. Agar ghar walon ki baat hai toh we won't tell them. Aur aisa nahi hai ki we can't register our marriage before. Aur hum engaged bhi hai. So I think it's normal to register." Nandini was still in conflict.

Manik was waiting patiently for her. After like 10 minuted she broke her silence.

"Ghar walon ko pata chal gaya toh?" She asked, he sighed and said

"See Nandini. If you want then we will tell them. But mere hisab se unka na batana hi behtar specially meri family ko, because they are very very old fashioned and they won't agree. If your agree we will register it if not then also it's fine." He said to which she nodded her head.

"Hmmm... I'll let you know by evening." She said to which he smiled and told her to continue her eating. They stayed there for another 1/2 hr until Nandini's phone rang. It was from her mother telling her to come home soon.

"Should I drop you?" Manik asked and this time she was going to deny but he made a puppy face.

"Okay." He smiled brightly and told her to sit. Soon they were on the road towards Nandini's house. It takes something 1hr to reach her house from the college.

Around 5 they reached near the bus stop and Nandini got down from the bike. Thanking him she left towards her house which was 5 minutes distance of walking. Manik smiled and took a u-turn and left to his house.

Manik's House

"Kahan reh gaya yeh Manik?" Neonika looked at the door and then at the wall watch. Normally he reaches the house by 4 clock but now it's 6 clock.

"Tch! Khana bhi banana hai." She mumbled and was going towards the kitchen when Manik entered inside the house.

"Manik! Kitni der kar di tumne. Laa dhaniya aur chawal de mujhe. Khana abhi tak bana nahi hai." Listening her Manik bit his lips and said

"Oh shit! Main bhool gaya."

"Bhool gaye? Seriously Manik? Ek toh late se aaye aur chawal, dhaniya lana  bhool gaye! Yeh kya harkate hai Manik. Jaa aur jaldi lekar aa." Mumbling sorries to her he left and within 15 minutes he came and gave her the ingredients and went to freshen up.

Around 7:30 PM Sneha and Vivek came back. The dinner was ready by 9 PM. They all started having dinner and out of nowhere Vivek asked Manik.

"Manik....tu xzy College ke paas kya kar raha tha?" Listening him he frowned and looked at him.

"Woh toh Nandini ka college hai na..." Mr. Malhotra asked to which he bobbed his head.

"Tu vahan kyun gaya? Nandini se kya phone pe baate nahi hoti jo har baar usse milne chala jata hai." His brother said making him twitch his lips.

"Yeh har baar ka kya matlab hai aapka bhai? Aaj gaya tha kyun ki kuch kaam tha mujhe. Aur vaise bhi aap aur bhabhi dono maike nahi gaye the unke? Uss tarah kya kar rahe the?" Manik asked them making all sigh.

"Manik! Bade hai tumnse. Aur Woh dono pati patni hai. Unka ghumna theek hai." Dadi said making him frown at her words.

"Dadi! Maine bas pucha hai. Bhai toh aise bol rahe hai jaise maine koi crime kiya ho. Aur mujhe sachi sachi batao bhai kya aapne aur bhabhi ne theka laga rakha hai kya mujhpe najar rakhne ka? Uss din sagai ke din bhabhi aur aaj aap. Problem kya hai aapki?" Manik askwd angrily making Neonika and Mr. Malhotra sigh but slightly hurt seeing both their son like this.

"Manik! Bhabhi hai woh teri." Vivek said making him sigh.

"I know! But mere har matter mein ghusne ki jarurat nahi hai. Jaise aap sab ghuste rehte ho. Bhalai ke liye batate ho toh samjh sakta hun lekin har baar Nandini se related kuch ho toh aap sab aise kyun ban jaate ho?" He asked putting back the morsel in his plate to which all sighed.

"Acha...chodo sab kuch. Khana kha lo. Vaise bhi sona hai hum sabko. Kal bahut saare kaam hai." Mr. Malhotra said making them calm. Manik had his food and quietly went to his room.

Closing his eyes and he lied down on the bed when his phone pinged. Knowing it might be Nandini he immediately checked.

Nandini

Hey! Aapne dopahar ko registration ke baare mein pucha tha... toh maine ghar pe baat ki. They said go for it. So I think we should do it.

"What the hell! Ghar pe baat ki Nandini? And they agreed?" He was shocked but also happy. But he wanted to make sure that they agreed whole heartedly. So he decided to have a talk with them tomorrow.

Manik

Okay. Sleep well! Good night

He replied and was thinking about his talk with his family. He knew hw shouldn't have spoken like that. He thought to apologise to his brother and wife so he got up and moved towards their room. When he was about to knock he heard his bhabhi's voice.

"Enough! Aap ko bolne ki jarurat hi nahi thi. Last time bhi usne mujhe sunaya aue aaj bhi. Maine toh kuch bola tak nahi. Manik ne Nandini se sirf sagai ki hai phir bhi itna supportice hai lekin you are nothing like that......" And the voice went on and on.

Knowing them fighting he decided to talk to them tomorrow and went to his room to a get a good sleep.
