Yesterday after having food all retired to their rooms to sleep. Some guest were already sleeping in hall and some on terrace thinking that the next day all will leave in the morning.

Since Nandini got up around 6 clock in the morning she came out of the room in search of bathroom. She saw her mother-in-law coming inside the house with a towel wrapped around her head indicating that she had already had her bath.

"Arey! Nandini. Acha hua tum uth gayi jaldi. Ek kaam karo, jaldi se naha lo aur aa jao. Puja mein deri ho jayegi agar sab uth jayenge toh. Unko bhi toh bathroom use karna hai." Listening her she bobbed her head.

"Ji, lekin bathroom kahan hai?" She asked softly to which Neonika pointed at the corner in the hall. Nandini decided to better take a nighty with her and then get ready in the room. She went back to the room only tp witness Manik sleeping again on his stomach. She smiled and opening her bag she took out the towel, her inner wear and a nighty along with the brush.

She came down and directly went into the bathroom only to witness the bucket filled with hot water. Keeping her clothes on the hanger she closed the door and started with her business.

Outside dadi woke up and looked around to spot anyone for her morning tea.

"Kahan gaye hai yeh sab?" She sighed and turned to go again when, Sneha (Manik's bhabhi) coming down.

"Acha hua tum aa gayi. Jara meri chai bana dena. Sar dukh raha hai mera."

"Ji dadi." She sighed and entered the kitchen murmering to herself.

"Inko bas orders dene hai. Hath pair hai phir bhi chai banani nahi aati. Kya hoga inka kaun jaane!" She still hadn't brush and she had to work. After 5-8 minutes she came out with her tea and gave dadi. By now the guest started getting up.

"Neonika! Nandini nahi uthi?" Dadi asked frowning before she could reply Nandini came out of the bathroom. Seeing her dadi frowned.

"Yeh kya pehna hai?" Listening her Nandini got nervous. Neonika sighed.

"Pehle hi din sasural mein yeh kaun pehnta hai? Ghar mein mehman hai kuch toh socho." Listening her she looked down but gaining the courage she spoke before Neonika could.

"Dadi, main room mein saree pehne wali hun. Bathroom mein nahi hoga, agar yahan pehnti toh gili ho jati. Mainabhi change karke aati hun." Saying this she walked fast towards the room.

"Pair bhi nahi chuye isne. Tch!" Dadi mumbled making Neonika and Sneha sigh.

"Rehne dijiye na maa hota hai. Pehla din hai aaj. Galti toh sabse hoti hai." Saying this Neonika went away to look after the preparation for the pooja.

In the room

Nandini closed the door in hurry making Manik jolt and get up. He frowned and looked around. Seeing Nandini breathing heavily he frowned.

"Kya hua?" She jumped on her place and looked at him.

"Kuch nahi....woh main...jaldi jaldi mein aa gayi... Mujhe change karna hai." Listening her he noticed her saree lying down on the bed. He bobbed his head getting up from the bed he took out his clothes and moved out of the room.

She smiled seeing him leaving, giving her the privacy. She closed the door behind and soon soon she changed herself into the saree. She came down all ready for pooja. She saw Manik going upstairs they passed eachother sweet smile which only gave them butterflies in their stomach.

Since Nandini had to make sweet dish Neonika told her to make prasad for the pooja. Nandini agreed and went into the kitchen.

"Maa, suji kahan hai?" Nandini asked coming out of the kitchen.

"Aati hun!" Saying this she moved towards Nandini into the kitchen and gave her all the ingredients.

"Baki jo baatein batani hai tumhe iss kitchen ki woh baad mein kisi aur din bata dungi. Abhi sirf yahi banao." Bobbing her head Nandini continued to make the sweet dish. After like 20-25 minutes Nandini was done with it. She came out to see all freshened up. She wished all of them and this time she took the blessings not wanting to embarass herself more.

Around 8 am the pandit came and they settled themselves for the pooja. Nandini and Manik were made to sit with each other as it is for them only for better and good future together.

The pooja continued till 10:30. They took the blessings from the pandit.

"Nandini sabko prashad do." Dadi said and agreeing to her she picked up the bowl and gave everyone. At last she came to Manik who forwarded his right hand. While giving him the prashad their hands touched maming Nandini blush.

"Acha! Chalo, abhi baki ki rasmein kar le?" Dadi asked sitting on the chair. They all agreed and Neonika asked Manik and Nandini to sit facing each other.

"Toh pehle, hum anguthi dhundhne ki rasam karte hai. Toh Manik aur Nandini yahan pateela doodh se bhara hua hai. Main iske andar Nandini ki anguthi dalungi aur tun dono ko dhundhni hai. Aur jisne pehle dhundh li vah jeet gaya." Neonika explained showing the ring of Nandini's.

"Jeetega toh humara bhai hi. Use kabhi kisi ne haraya nahi hai. Bhabhi! All the best!" The youngesters teased them making Nandini frown but smile.

"Jaruri nahi ki aapke bhai hi jeete! Aaj toh main inko hara ke hi rahungi." Listening her all cheered. Manik raised his one eyebrow in asking really!

Nandini gave him a smile and bobbed her head.

"Let's see!" Neonika soon threw the ring in the milk and stired it. As soon as she removed her hand they both digged their hands inside the bowl.

"Com'on! Bhabhi! Bhai!" Everyone could here these voices making them cheer up more and encourage. Nandini felt the ring and she immediately removed it out.

"Hahahaha! Manik toh haar gaya. Dekha, Nandini kitni pakki hai apne baaton ki." One of the elder said making them smile. Manik gave her a appreciating smile.

"Chalo, abhi ek aur rasam karte hai. Manik aur Nandini tum dono ko apne ek doosre hathon ke dhage ko kholna hai lekin...sirf ek hath use kar sakte ho." They agreed, Manik forwarded his right hand towards her and she was struggling to untie the knot.

"Naa! Tumse na ho payega Nandini. Maan jao haar." Manik teased her softly making her glare at him softly. But unaware that her actions were being watched by someone.

At last, Nandini untied the knot and now it was Manik's turn. They were sitting together this time.

"Aapse nahi hoga Manik...rehne dijiye." Nandini said in the same manner but this time Manik chuckled and whispered.

"Don't worry tumne kiya hai toh main bhi kar lunga. Aakhir aap hi ka pati hun." Nandini blushed hardly and looked away hiding her face. Even though they struggled but were successful in untieing the knot.

Around 12 they were done with all the rituals. Since food was left to prepare and by now many of the relatives had left. Only Manik's cousins ( bua's, mama childrens) were there with their parents.

"Bhai, khana abhi tal bana nahi hai?" dadi asked furiously, where as Neonika replied

"Maa, sab rasmon lage the toh khana banana reh gaya. Aur vaise bhi kal raat ka khana bhi vaise hi pada hai. Ussi ko garam karke kha lenge." Dadi sighed and looked away.

"Rasme ho rahi thi iska matlab yeh nahi ki khana banana bhool jaye. Jao jo khana bacha hua hai usse hi garam karo." She scolded them and they trio ( Neonika, Sneha and Nandini) went inside the kitchen.

Manik sighed seeing his dadi's behaviour. He then remembered something. He stood up and moved towards the kitchen mumbling to himself.

"Kal ka agar khana khayenge toh Nandini nahi kha payegi. Maa ko batata hun."

He entered to see his wife busy stering something on the gas and his bhabhi was taking out plates and all.

"Maa!" He called her out grabbing all of their attention.

"Kya hua Manik?" She asked moving towards him.

"Woh, Nandini teekha khana nahi kha sakti. She can't handle it. Aap uske liye kuch light sa bana dijiye." Listening him Neonika frowned but bobbed her head. He left from there glancing at his wife who was looking at him only.

"Nandini, tum teekha khana nahi khati?" Neonika asked to which she bit her lip and looked down.

"Ji nahi. Adat nahi hai aur mujhe woh pachta bhi nahi hai."

"Bataya kyun nahi toh kal? Acha, chodo yeh sab. Tum kuch light sa bana lo apne liye jo chahiye woh. Hum yeh sab kar lenge." Neonika said to which she denied.

"Nahi maa, iski jarurat nahi hai. I'll manage."

"Mainw kaha na." Listening her stern voice she agreed and made simple food for her with less spicy.
