2: The Introduction

"The hell you mean I have to go to school?!!" I screamed.
"You should've expected this Rin. We've been attacking that hero school for a while now." Tomura said, crossing his arms as I threw a fit.
"Tenko...buddy...you know how long it has been since I've been around people my age? A long ass time. I've had nothing to do with your little fights with UA. Why am I suddenly involved?" I asked.
"The studentd nor staff have never seen your face. I could sneak you in as a foreign exchange student. I want you to destroy the school from the inside." Tomura explained.
"The dots still aren't connecting." I whined.
Tomura groaned, "Remember the loud ass kid I kidnapped?"
"Yeah. Couldn't hear for a good week after hearing him yell and try to use his damn explosion quirk."
"Well, I want you to use your quirk to use his quirk to blow up the school."
"And how long will I be there?"
"How ever long you need as long as you don't blow your cover."
  "And when do I start?"
"In a month. I still need to get your fake id's and passport and other shit."
"And where exactly am I 'from'?"
"To make it more believe able, Mexico since your Hispanic. We came up with the story that your mom lived there but your dad lives here so your mom sent you to live with your dad for a bit."
The made up story wasn't too far from the truth. My mom is from Mexico, forgot what part, and my dad is from Japan. My dad met my mom and an over seas business trip and got married there, my mom was pregnant with me but my dad had to move back to Japan so my mom came with him.
"Ok cool. Am I free to leave?"
  "Yeah."
I gladly hopped to my feet from sitting on a stool at the bar next to Tenko and walked to my little room. It wasn't much but I decorated it however I could. It was torn apart and there were several holes in my walls but it just added more personality to the room. I had some string lights on my ceiling cause for a while we didn't have electricity. I had a dresser and a couple of boxes filled with old toys. My dresser had books upon books stacked on top with a notebook in the middle that I used to study everyone's quirks if I didn't already know how they worked.
I flopped onto my bed that was across from my dresser. The old spring bedframe squeaked as my weight was suddenly pushed onto it.
I looked to my left where I kept a copy of the newspaper from the day after I burned my house down. Sometimes, I like to think about my parents, they never did anything bad to me, they didn't really deserve what I did but at the same time I don't regret it.
The picture they put of my house burning looked unreal, like they photo shopped it. I knew it was real but a part of me still doesn't believe I did that. I've burnt down and destroyed many buildings while I lived with Tenko but you never forget the feeling after your first you know?
The month between then and starting school again was long. It felt like forever but I forgot what happened between those two points in time. One night, however, I remember like it just happened. The night I met my uncle.
When I lived with Tenko, I would have a couple of arguments and my horrible temper and his stubborness didn't mix well so I would leave the base for a bit. Tenko didn't worry about me cause he knew I could and would kill someone if they tried to hurt me and I have.
I would always go to this one park in the middle of the city. Most of the time, it was quiet. Only the park was silent, the busy streets would be buzzing with people but not the park. There was this big tree I would sit by when I was upset and to this day, I still do when I'm let out of the house.
One night, I felt empty so I went out to my tree. Something about this specific tree gave me comfort. It like any other night I would go there. I would sit by the base of the trunk and lean up against it, trying to hear the hear beat of the tree or try to hear it breath. When I zoned out like that, I can usually hear vibrations when someone walks by. It didn't bother me but that night, someone walked by and it created the largest vibrations I've ever heard. It scared me and I screamed, falling back.
A large man in a yellow hoodie and black pants ran to me, helping me up and repestly asking if I was ok.
I looked at him and realized he was a local hero by the name of FatGum. I didn't know he was my uncle until after this conversation.
"Hey there kiddo, you ok?" He asked with worry seeping through his words.
"Yeah I'm fine. Thanks though." I said pushing him away and crawling back to the trunk of the tree.
"Whatcha doing there kid?" He asks as he sits next to me.
"I'm just sitting here with the tree. I do it when I'm upset. I'm fine so you can go now sir." I said with anger outlining my tongue.
A moment of silence passed and he still didn't leave. I tried to ignore him but he would keep making small noises like pulling out a chocolate bar or a bag of chips.
"Sir, could you be more quite, I can hear your chewing and its louder than the street buzzing." I scoffed.
He just laughed and offered me some. He was being awful friendly to a kid who was being mean to him.
"I'm good sir." I said declining and going back to leaning on my tree.
He sat there and starred at me. I could feel his gaze a stare of dog when they're trying to figure out what their owner is saying. He starred at me for a while.
"Can you lift your sleeve or your pant leg?" He asks.
I snap my head back at him with a disgusted look. "Why the hell would you want me to do that?"
"You look like my brother's long lost daughter. I just wanted to confirm my suspensions. Sorry if that came off wrong." He said, his words drooped.
I looked at him and knew he was right. I could tell by the look he had. He recognized my odd skin condition. My skin was pale and I had spots of gray skin all over. Its a mutuation I got from my parents. My mother had gray skin, a mutation caused by her quirk. My dad had pale skin like any other person.
I rolled up my sleeve to my white long sleeved shirt and pulled the leg of my baggy black jeans up, showing him the gray patches of skin I was hiding.
  "Rin?" He asked.
I just looked down. I knew he was going to be upset and I was also prepared to use my quirk to make an escape if he tried to take me back.
"You're alive! I can't believe it! My niece is alive!" He said happily as he scooped me up in his arms and hugged me.
"Hey! Hey! Put me down!! Get off me!!" I screamed as I tried to escape his graphs but he didn't listen so I used my quirk to make him let go. I fell back onto my ass and backed away from him. "Don't do that! Don't fucking touch me!"
Fatgum frowned. His arms still stuck in the position I left them in, wide open.
"I'm sorry. Did I do something wrong?" He asked.
"Yes! Don't touch me! I hate being touched!" I yelled.
"Oh ok. I'm sorry. I have no clue what came over me. I was just so happy to see you." He said with a small smile.
I sighed and let him free of my grasp.
He scoot a little closer to me and started talking. He told me my mom and dad miss me everyday and they moved to Mexico so that my mom could be with her family. He told me that they'd move back some day. He told me they spent years looking for me and never once blamed me for the fire even though I caused it. He rambled on all night about my family.
I eventually had to head back to base and Fat gum asked me about it. I told him that he would never know where I lived and I didn't want him telling my parents about me. This guy is the most understanding person I ever met. All he said was ok and gave me his phone number in case I ever wanted to talk.
I took it and walked home repeating his name, Taishiro Toyomistu, then replacing his name in my head with the word uncle.
