"What's the strategy then? With the entrance you had, I'm sure they already know you're here." Blaze asked Luna.

"Of course, they do. I, after all, used the front gate to come here." Luna replied casually. Everyone, except Sylvie was shocked. One could say, that, she got accustomed to Luna; even after meeting her for such a short period of time. The powers twin brings to brain, really, is awesome.

"And the chain girl didn't stop you...?" Blaze asked, astonished on how it happened.

"I burnt her chains. It's really pretty easy. I just have to touch and focus... Everything burns when I touch it." Rhys could understand her hidden feelings behind that sentence. And so, he held her warm hand in his. His comfort was finally here... He didn't know how to face her yet, but, he a feeling they'll figure something out, if he lives, that is. Dying in 'The Sanctuary', knowing, that Luna would still be waiting for him to return, would have been a cowardly act. He understood it. Then, it hit him. How did Luna know he's here?

"How did you know where we were?" Rhys questioned his mind.

"Unlike you, Blaze believes in letting his 'other half' know his whereabouts. And, his 'other half' knows better than to keep as complex as these, to herself." Luna directly accused Rhys with her words.

"Okay... So, Mephistopheles is the one to get us out with Lorelei's soul. Right?" Sylvie, successfully, managed to drift the conversation. Suddenly, they heard a knock on their walls.

"I see. You broke the door and the seal." Mephistopheles's eyes scanned the burned ground and the doors.

"I didn't." Luna didn't even look in his direction to reply. She was too tired now. Thus, she was saving her energy for other important things. She had no idea whenever and wherever she'll need her flames.

"She burnt the ground and therefore, was able to sink the ground beneath the door. About the seal... It was probably the relic which served as a key." Sylvie explained whatever she understood from the situation. Who, better than her, knew that the door doesn't catch fire.

"Whatever... Now, how'll you repay my Master's debt. Lorelei already had enough of it." Mephistopheles joined them by sitting there.

"Lorelei probably gave all the souls, our family had to offer, except for Algyva, to your master as the payment." Luna calmly replied.

"She didn't. She used all of it to cleanse herself." Mephistopheles replied, somewhat, disturbed with the course of action.

"Cleanse herself... ? Of what?" Blaze asked, confused as to where the conversation was heading.

"Doesn't look like Luna was able to make you understand things... Allow me to explain." Mephistopheles then, started explaining everything to them.

'The Sanctuary' was a place housing people blessed by Gods. They mastered in magic regarding flames.  Then, Algyva brought a human being, who she loved. That human wanted nothing more than their powers. Therefore, he successfully manipulated Algyva in using those flames for his selfish interests. He made her kill several people for his revenge. And, Algyva, completely lost in love complied easily to his interests.

At the end, God couldn't see the injustice happening and killed that human. When, he proceeded to kill Algyva, Luna's father stepped in and claimed that they don't need such powers. God can take all the power back in return of his sister's life. Algyva, too, promised to redeem herself. God, believing in their sincerity and his previous decision to give this family powers, forgave them. With conditions...

Each and every family member of that generation will loose their powers. With powers, they'll also loose their 'normal lives'. He cursed them to live a life span of 200 years. Time passed, and, Algyva fell in love again. With a human too... Of course, he married someone else after witnessing that she doesn't age, and, died. It is said, first love hurts and second love breaks... If remain unrequited.

While things like these were happening, Luna's father fell in love with a human, who, unlike Algyva's lover, appreciated his feelings. They got married and had five children in total, two boys, a girl and a set of female twins. Sylvie and Luna are those twins. They used to live in 'The Sanctuary' with all of their family.

Algyva, with each passing day, became more and frustrated about her prolonged living. The situation of seeing everyone around herself getting adapted to changes and her brother getting the 'love of his life' wasn't appreciated by her. Unlike others, she didn't want to adapt to that change. At the end, she found a way to die 'normally'.

It was where Lorelei entered in the picture. Knowing the family brought her close to Algyva. Lorelei wanted powers and Algyva wanted death. There was a way to fulfill both of their wishes. They made a relic by killing twenty five people and made Sylvie wear it. This amulet collected powers from her and kept storing it.

Lorelei was then, asked by Algyva to use Sylvie's flame on her own family. This was impossible as long as their parents were alive. So, on one night, she killed them. She poured kerosene on them and set their bodies on fire, while they were tied from head to toe in ropes. It happened in the same chamber where Sylvie is currently tied.

Under the calm moonlight, Lorelei poured the kerosene on them and lit a match. Their muffled cries weren't loud or clear enough to reach anyone's ears. Fifteen minutes later, Luna awoke from her sleep due to her sharp instincts and, went into the chamber to look for her parents. She found them, partially engulfed with flames. She, initially, covered her face as an instinct, digging the tips of her fingers into her eyes like she’s blinding herself. When, she did open it. She realized that Algyva had already caught hold of her. Algyva, with the help of Lorelei bound her in a jute sack while stuffing her mouth and tying her hands.

Luna couldn't do anything than, see it. The upper half of their body was on fire. It was clear that Lorelei had not used enough kerosene. They were in agony; it was agony for Luna to see them. Luna saw Lorelei rub handfuls of earth onto her until the fire disappeared.

Apparently, she wanted it to be torturous enough. They were still screaming and crying with their muffled hoarse voices. Luna's mother always wore a kimono while sleeping. It was a habit. The kimono was still on fire and Lorelei tried to pull the cloth intentionally. In an attempt of doing so, the cloth came away but the skin came along with it too.

After watching it for more than an hour... Lorelei could see their bodies as third-degree burn victims. They typically could feel no pain in at first. The flames had destroyed the pain receptors in their skin along with the epidermis. Their face, arms, and neck required skin graft, if she wanted to save them. But she had no such plans... Lorelei wanted to torture them as she felt that they couldn't feel any pain for next six days. But, Algyva stopped her. Lorelei then, took out her mini dagger and stabbed them multiple times. Making multiple cuts over their body... Altogether, she had scripted 'L' on their foreheads.

Afterwards, Luna and Mavis were sent far away, their memories altered. Sylvie stayed back, with her family. None of them, remembering anything more than, what Algyva wanted them to learn. Somehow, Luna's elder brother got to know about this and was successful in getting Luna know everything. Once, the spell on Luna was broken, she remembered everything. But, it was already late. She had Mavis, to take care of, who was going through the trauma of loosing their foster family. Also, Lorelei had put a curse on 'The Sanctuary' using, Sylvie's parents as sacrifice. Lorelei started wearing kimono to mock their parents's soul.

"I can't believe you had to go through that... I'm sorry... I know I'm bad enough but, please..." Rhys hugged Luna as a single tear rolled off her face.

"Don't take false blames on yourself Rhys. You should now, see that you didn't do anything. Everything was a layout. To destroy us..." Rhys nodded. How naive was he to think that he can die without having Luna around...

Did they not share to be together even before their deathbeds...

He was sorry... But, not for what happened. He was sorry for thinking like a coward.

"Now, we just need to make sure Lorelei reverses the black magic on Rhys. And then, you can take her soul away..." Sylvie replied. Wiping all the stray tears coming out. She couldn't imagine how Luna would've felt back then. Everyone nodded on her statement.

You see, whenever I'm writing something as tragic as deaths, I try to make the chapters shorter. It isn't so to make me feel easy but, it's so because of the warning on top. As I already mark the chapters "Mature", I don't want to include 'Normal' stuff there. It's disturbing on another level.

Anyways, I won't be typing much for Author's Note today because I am ill. But, since I promised to post pictures related to "Your Throne" yesterday, I don't wanna skip that. I always stick to my words (Something, out of many things, I learnt from Naruto and Hinata)...

Medea and Perion

Finding them together is already tough.  So, it shouldn't be a wonder why I couldn't find any lovey dovey photos of theirs. There are many reasons for the same. Number one Medea being interested only in power and crown. Number two Perion being interested in protecting himself and his position as a 'common citizen' right now. There are honestly so many other reasons. You can't even call them a 'ship'.

Nevertheless, I like them together. And, would be happy if my ship sailed. If not Perion, I wouldn't want Medea to end up with anyone else. Let Medea be the sole queen and rule alone.

And since, I don't have any Psyche and Helio image... I can't put them together. Your Throne is a fantasy rather than romance so, it's obvious... Anyways, I would just say that Psyche doesn't deserve the hate she's getting (I have seen countless posts where everyone is dissing her without any reason).

Also, Helio and Medea have more of a mentor student relationship. Medea doesn't even treats him equally (For instance, she allows him to kiss her feet as a sign of loyalty)... But, with Perion, it isn't like that. For once, she was kinda worried when he stabbed himself in his eyes after losing the duel to her. She even told him not to do it. (Medea showing concern over someone like that is unusual... So, we can say that she may have a soft corner for him for unknown reasons).

Honestly, he's the worst. He manipulated Psyche to betray Medea unknowingly and got engaged to her. Then, he had the audacity to go to Medea and say that he wants to eradicate Psyche from his life and make her the queen. He is so irritating. I wish he dies soon.
