THE NEXT DAY ROLLS BY AND JULES found herself laying on erin's couch. it all started when erin asked jules to elaborate on her text from the other day saying, "i'm gonna strangle a bitch." but jules figured that erin needed to hear the whole story in person, instead of over the phone. and since the two haven't hung out in a little bit, of course she was on board.

jules first started by explaining that she was somewhat over-exaggerating in the text. she then went on about the date and everything else that happened between matt and sophia, the soon-to-be-strangled. and the way she told the story, erin didn't think for one second that jules was over-exaggerating. she really would strangle a bitch if she wasn't worried about the consequences.

"but you just told me you guys made up?" erin asked for clarity after jules had finished her ranting. she went on for almost half an hour explaining every single detail of the issue only to say they were okay now.

it's not like erin wasn't glad they made up, it was the way jules lead up to the end of the story. and because if it, erin would have assumed that she was never going to talk to him again, or even something more severe, but she should have known how jules was with matt.

it was weird to watch the two from an outside point of view. for erin, at least. because she can always see how jules whole mood changes whenever matt walks into a room, and vice versa. it's like her whole life has been brightened, or like she's never been her true self without matt. and erin always wondered why they never tried to become something more after all this time. it was so obvious how badly each of them were in love with each other. but that wasn't her business.

"yeah we did, i guess. but it still happened." jules shrugged, not sure how she felt that erin hasn't said a word about sophia after all she had just told her. it was like she wasn't being heard fully, like she needed to scream the words directly into her ear to make her understand. instead erin was focused on the obvious, matt and jules would alway find their ways back to each other, no matter the problem.

"so what's happening with sophia? i thought she was nice?" the sentence that just left erin's mouth really made jules think. sophia was always very nice to jules and all of her friends, but now that's she's thinking about it, was that kindness all for nothing? was getting to matt her end goal all along? realizing that may have been the case hurt jules a lot because she genuinely thought she had found another friend. instead, she was used. 

"i thought she was, but now i'm not sure if her intentions were right. if you know what i mean."

erin didn't know what she meant, not being able to put together all the details she's been told. it was all a lot. she tried her best, "what? you think she didn't want to be your friend?"

"more like she wanted somebody else and used me to—"

their conversation got interrupted by a notification coming from both of their phones. the two completely different ringtones clashing against one another. they both looked at each other before picking them up.

jules looked at the notification, seeing that it looked like a new group chat has been made and nick was the one to send out the first message. he most likely made it.
