dante actually has a fair amount of gashes and scars, most of them on the palms of his hands and his back. he does have one on his chin, however.

dante is a faker. on the outside, he tries to seem intimidating and scary, but everybody knows. they just know he tries too hard. he's kind of clumsy and ditzy at times, which really messes with his cool factor.
angry, angry all the time. he's pissy and mouthy and rolls his eyes at every given moment, probably in another feeble attempt to seem intimidating. honestly, while some of this is a guise, he is angry. he doesn't know how to properly deal with his anger, other than channeling it into looking scary. it doesn't work. why, well...
dante is comically bad at acting cool. that's it. it's funny how hard he tries to act like his father and to be intimidating. he does have his moments though, and when the time is right he seems to have the right words, luckily enough. he isn't always as awkward as he seems.
however, what also makes the boy funny is his lip. he's spoken some good remarks out of that mouth, and surely has a few more to offer.
dante doesn't know how to deal with his emotions and all of his real anger (not the fake, cool guy angst he puts up as a wall) and as a result, he tends to get unstable and really angry quite often. little things tend to trigger breakdowns, but even then he tries to shove his emotions down as deep as he possibly can.
not gonna lie, dante has a huge pain kink. it's not even funny at this point, it's kind of how he coped with some of his fathers rage, even. anyways, if you slap him he might like it so beware. actually scratch that, he definitely likes it.
building on that, dante has some fairly obvious daddy issues and struggles with living up to his father's immense expectations. his father has placed so much weight upon his shoulders where it's hardly even funny anymore. he's expected to want to continue the family business, but dante couldn't care less about dead people!
despite his repressed issues, dante is a lover at heart. he's such a hopeless romantic, and dreams of a perfectly imperfect romance with somebody who makes him laugh and runs their hands through his hair a lot. he does have his eye out for someone special, and it's probably obvious who it is considering how immensely hard he tries to be intimidating and cool to them.

when legitimately angry, dante gets overwhelmed and tends to try and at least push it down until he's alone, where he can beat the shit out of his door or something. if there's no escape, he tends to get very mouthy and yells, trying his best not to get physical because he knows not to do that to people.
when in love, dante is a soft person. he's a huge romantic and loves going on romantic dates and excursions, doing fun things, and especially touching. not even sexually, he just really likes hugging and touching people he likes. his love language is definitely personal contact, and he loves to be hugged and touched back.
if embarrassed, dante shies away from people and tends to fall very silent. if he doesn't know what to say, or gets caught doing something, sometimes he gives off a total deer in the headlights look and freezes even. most of the time, though, if he's caught for something, he gets kind of pissy and wordlessly glares at people.
when it comes to fight or flight, dante is typically a fight person. he may be totally awkward and clumsy, but he would always go down fighting. he has a pretty good punch and fighting form, and would hopefully be able to fight off an attacker if if ever came to it.

dante's main fear is death, but he also fears never being loved or accepted by anyone, spiders, and has a particular disgust with worms.

dante is, obviously, italian. half italian, actually, but he lives in italy and has the status. nobody quite knows how a man with a small, family owned funeral business became so freaking rich, and dante's grandfather will never tell. what everyone assumes, however, is the mafia. it makes sense. the mafia sends you the bodies, you cremate them, and get paid big time. so, there's that aspect of dante's life. his grandfather and actual father probably work with the mafia, or at least did for a long time.
dante's father is a full italian, while his mother was an american tourist that couldn't help but fall in love with the young italian that lived down the street. dante's parents got married at nineteen years old, and his mother immigrated to italy so that they could live together. it was only about a year later when his mother got pregnant with dante, and lo and behold, they had a child at twenty years old. dante's life was pretty fine up until he turned around six, which is the first time he remembers his father getting violently angry. not only at him, but also his mother. it wasn't bad, but it started a pretty long streak of violence. dante, bring the eldest and the only other boy in the household, usually got it much worse than his three darling daddy's girl sisters usually got. he was held to extreme standards, and still is, though has found that attending boarding school has made it so much easier to let out a breath of fresh air and to relax a little.
