Chapter 10

A/N: I just realised I forgot the most important thing. Aizawa's cats...forgive me. I'll add them in now. And, I know some of you just want to see Dadzawa and Bakugou, don't worry, the attention has been flipped onto Bakugou. oh, and whoever's PoV I'm talking in, the person who it is will be referred to with their first names. (that makes zero sense but whateves)

⚠️suicidal references, ed references, rape implications, dry heaving, crying⚠️

Kirishima's PoV:

It's been five days since Katsuki admitted to wanting to die, and it still hurt Eijiro so much. It's the Monday of a fresh week and Eijiro is determined to help Katsuki the best he can. Despite his silent wishes, Eijiro believes it to be the smart idea to bring these suicidal thoughts to the attention of an adult. Eijiro knows that Katsuki wanted Aizawa-sensei to notice his pain and help him but he failed to see it so he thought he'd take the initiative and go to him for help.

Hero training has just ended, and Aizawa-sensei has ordered everyone to 'get out of his face'. They are currently in Gym Gamma. Aizawa-sensei notices that Eijiro is the last one hanging around. "I said to leave," he snaps.

Eijiro makes his way up to the teacher, sweat dripping onto the floor. "I need to talk to you," he explains. Though this isn't even about himself, he can still feel the nerves running wild within him. He wants out of the situation.

"Whatever it is, it can wait till tomorrow." Aizawa begins walking towards the exit.

But the thing is, Eijiro wants to save his boyfriend and to do that, he picks up the courage and says in the most definitive tone he can muster, "It can't wait till tomorrow. It's urgent."

Aizawa-sensei stops and turns around to face his student, saying in his usual indifferent tone,"Unless there is a fire or someone is dying, then it can wait," before continuing to walk towards the exits.

Eijiro doesn't know what to do. He scrambles through his head for something, anything to keep Aizawa-sensei from leaving. "Someone wants to die," he blurts out.

Aizawa froze before spinning around so quickly that Eijiro thought he'd teleported. "OK, well, maybe this is urgent."

The two settle down on the ground near the wall of the gym. Eijiro wrings out his hands while staring down at his lap. "Is this about you?" Aizawa-sensei asks cautiously.

All Eijiro can do is shake his head. He'd rehearsed what he'd say so many times yet when the time came, he couldn't do it. He feels unmanly for being nervous. He understands that the situation is serious but he hates how he's acting as though it is his problem, being scared and everything. He shouldn't be so scared to say it, but he is.

"I'm going to need you to tell me what's going on, kid. Otherwise I can't help," Aizawa-sensei reels Eijiro out of his stupor.

The teen takes a deep breath and runs his lines in his head once again before reciting them in a worried tone, "Well, it's about Bakugou. He's been acting weird lately and well...last week he broke down. I don't want to invade his privacy or anything because that wouldn't be manly, but he said that he didn't want to live anymore. I don't want him to die."

Aizawa-sensei is definitely shocked to say the least and is caught off guard when Eijiro breaks down into tears, pressing the palms of his hands into his eyes. He hunches over as the tears continue flowing. The raven haired male awkwardly puts his hand on Eijiro's back and rubs circles onto it.

It doesn't take long for Eijiro to calm down. He apologises for crying and leaves Aizawa-sensei alone in Gym Gamma.

Aizawa's PoV:

Shouta is more furious with himself than he's ever been. He got so preoccupied with Todoroki, that he completely forgot his concerns about Bakugou. He let the boy suffer on his own. Left him outside like a broken toy. He's disgusted with himself and he knows it's all his fault.

After some time of sitting in the gym, he picks himself up and heads towards the staffroom. All the teachers are chatting away, but Shouta ignores them. He grabs Hizashi and pulls him out of the staffroom. Ignoring the man's complaints, he continues dragging him until they reach a secluded area.

"Hizashi," he says angrily.

The aforementioned male shivers. "I'm sorry. Whatever I did I'm so sorry. I didn't mean it, I promise," he speaks frantically.

Shouta sighs deeply and rubs his temples, continuing to give off his angry vibe. "It's Bakugou," he says simply. "I was informed that he wants to quit."

"Quit what?" Hizashi asks, internally sighing that the anger isn't directed at him.

"From the world...Hizashi, one of my students wants to die," he whispers.

He freezes, not knowing how to respond to the news other than to pull him into a warm embrace. Their arms wrap around each other's waists and they enjoy the moment. Everything is quiet as the two don't move. Everything feels so calm and peaceful, as if nothing could bother them.

Shouta is glad that they aren't talking about it. He knows what he needs to do and doesn't need to explain it someone, that would just be a burden. All he knows is that he never wants to leave his husbands' embrace. For as long as he can remember, there has always been something about the hugs Hizashi gives that is just so comforting. Shouta once thought he saw a hugging coach. Hizashi laughed at that.

The sun peaks up behind the horizon, painting the sky a light pink. Shouta still lies awake in bed, tossing and turning. He couldn't sleep that night. not while he knew that he'd forgotten about his student, especially one who was in dire need for help. How could he forget about everything? Yes, he was distracted with Todoroki's situation but it couldn't have distracted him that much, could it?

His alarm blares through the room and Shouta turns it off immediately. Turning over, he wraps his arms around the cold body and pulls himself in. An adorable groan is heard from the lover as he forcefully rolls around and looks at Shouta through tired eyes, who removes his arm and signs, 'morning'.

Hizashi also does the same before groaning and lying back down to stare up at the ceiling. Shouta gets out of bed and throws on his hero costume, leaving the room, he notices his white Scottish Fold, Opal is her name, blocking the doorway. When Opal notices that her owner is awake, she hurries onto her feet and rushes over to where her food bowl is.

Shouta blocks out her meows and grabs the cat food tin, opening it and feeding it to her. As she munches away, purring, Shouta heads towards Todoroki's room and knocks before opening it. The young boy is sleeping peacefully under the doona. They'd yet to buy things to decorate the room so it's still bland. "Wakey wakey," he says loudly. Todoroki shoots upright, looking terrified. Ever since they'd adopted Todoroki and begun waking him up prior to school (when he didn't have nightmares), he'd jump out of bed, always fearful. It hurt the two parents, knowing they couldn't help their kid.

Todoroki realises he's safe and takes a deep breath before sliding out of bed. "Good Morning, Aizawa," he greets.

"Breakfast is cereal again. We're out of eggs and-" his voice booms "- somebody won't go and buy the eggs!"

"I don't want Todoroki to think that I'm never coming back like in those really sad stories," Hizashi shouts back childishly.

"Get over yourself... and thay're with milk, not eggs," Shouta says, slightly annoyed.

Shouta soon leaves the room to give Todoroki his privacy. He grabs a mug and starts brewing coffee while also preparing cereal for himself. He sits down at the dining table and begins eating, mind drifting off to the thoughts of Bakugou and how stupid it was of him to completely forget about it.

***

It's homeroom and Shouta knew he needed to talk to the feisty blonde. Everyone is chatting amongst themselves as he heads over to Bakugou's desk and crouches down next to him. "Bakugou, we need to talk," he whispers.

Bakugou looks down at the male and frowns. "I don't care," he says simply. Shouta's eyes catch a glimpse of purple on the teens' wrist. This raises concern, especially when Bakugou roughly pulls his sleeves down.

"Bakugou, I expect you to wait in this classroom before lunch. Otherwise, I'll hold you in after school for detention."

Bakugou groans and mumbles an OK. Shouta stands up and heads back to watching the class talking amongst themselves. Midoriya takes a hit at talking to Bakugou, who snaps at him. Midoriya turns back around to face his friends and Shouta swears he saw an eye roll, the boy looking like he wants to scream at him. What the-

Shouta pushes through the crowded hallways and towards class 1-A. He stumbles out of the crowd and directly into his room. Stabilizing himself, he spots Bakugou sitting at his desk grumpily. Shouta shuts the door, muffling the voices from outside. He takes Midoriya's seat and looks at the angry blonde.

Clearing his throat, Shouta says softly, "I am concerned about you, Bakugou. You have been very distant lately. Is everything all right?"

"Of course I'm all right. I'm not weak like the other extras," he snaps.

"Not being OK doesn't mean you are weak, kid," Shouta tries to explain.

"Whatever...can I leave now? This is a stupid conversation," he says impatiently.

Shouta was about to let him go but remembers what he saw on his wrist. "I have one final question, then you can leave."

"I don't have all day. Spit it out," he orders after a brief silence that only lasted a few seconds.

"I noticed this morning that you had a bruise on your wrist. What was that from?"

Bakugou stays silent, eyes seeming to be scanning for an answer, fearful. Shouta feels sick to the stomach, knowing that something is going on with his student. "Your eyes must be deceiving you, sensei. I didn't have a bruise on my wrist." He storms out of the room.

Shouta sighs and runs a hand through his hair. "I swear, these kids are going to be the end of me. What's next? A kid with a smoking addiction?" He leans back in the chair and closes his eyes, wanting to drift away.

Bakugou's PoV:

Katsuki stands up and storms out of the room. He rushes through the hallways and towards the bathroom. He feels his chest tightening and he begins shaking. His stomach flips and the need to puke arises, unusual as he hasn't eaten since dinner the previous day. He pushes through the student-body until he reaches the blue door with the male sign. He enters and kicks a cubicle door closed, not caring that it bounces back open. Crouching over the toilet, he lurches forward, dry heaving. His body is trying to bring something up but there is nothing there and even though he's on the brink of a mental breakdown, knowing he can't puke anything up makes him happy. He knows that he's dropping the weight. It's one of the only things Katsuki has control over, one of the only things he can do. He's aware of the damage he's causing to his body but what does it matter when you go through the stuff he has to go through.

A few minutes pass and Katsuki stops dry heaving. He slouches back onto the cubicle wall, glancing out at the unoccupied urinals. He smiles to himself. "At least one thing is going for me," he whispers to himself.

Aizawa's PoV: (sorry for all the changes)

Shouta drives the car home, his husband beside him and Todoroki in the back. Hizashi places a gentle hand onto Shouta's thigh, stroking it with his thumb. He doesn't say anything, just how Shouta likes it. On the contrary, the silence worries Todoroki and he believes he did something wrong.

"Whatever I did, I'm sorry," he mumbles.

"You didn't do anything, Little Listener," Hizashi says softly.

"But then why is Aizawa so quiet?"

"I don't know. Maybe just tired."

They fall back into silence again. Shouta just wants to cuddle against his husband and cry. He just wants to cry silent tears. He can't handle this.

***

Sorry for all the timeskips. I don't know how – nor can I be bothered to fill in the time. I want ze fluff

It's 9 pm and the three family members have waved goodnight. Shouta usually sticks to his side of the bed at night and so does Hizashi. They always have their morning cuddle but other than that, it only happens in the worst of times when one of them is at a low point, or when they just really want to cuddle.

Shouta turns the lights off and slides into bed, immediately attaching himself to Hizashi. His arm lays on his chest as well as his head. He entwines legs with the other. "Shouta..." Hizashi whispers, immediately setting down his phone and bringing his hand to the raven-head, combing his fingers through the soft mess.

"I'm sorry," Shouta whispers, almost inaudible.

"Don't be sorry, Shouta. Everyone gets sad sometimes." He can sense the smile that plays on the yellow-heads face.

Shouta tries his hardest to keep the tears in for as long as possible. He doesn't want to gain a reputation for the saddest. He can manage with the grumpiest, but not the saddest. "I'm just worried about Bakugou s'all. I swear I saw a bruise on his wrist this morning. He played it off as my imagination but I don't think I was seeing things," he says sadly.

"I know you got no sleep last night. Maybe you really were seeing things," Hizashi points out.

"Even so, he looked scared when I asked him what it was about. Petrified maybe. I don't know, Hizashi. Todoroki has it hard as it is and if I found out another one of my students was struggling, I don't think I could keep myself together." Tears slowly slide down his face as his body shivers a little, legs clutching onto the other tighter. They fall into another silence for a short moment. "I'm scared, Zashi," he whispers before the tears really take control, streaming down so fast he couldn't even wipe them away.

Hizashi moves onto his side to look directly at the man he fell in love with in high school. He cups his cheeks in his hands, disturbing the tears' track. "I promise it'll be OK. We'll find out what's wrong with him, I swear on my life." He pushes Shouta's head gently into his chest, cradling the lower frontal region. Rough hands grip onto his shoulders.

They lay like that for a long time, even once Shouta has quietened down, allowing him to think about how to approach this situation when he remembers what Kirishima said the previous day. They must be close, he thinks. And if he managed to witness the feisty blonde break down, maybe he knows more about the situation then he lets on. Maybe Kirishima is his way to save Bakugou, or at least figure out what was happening.
