"Thanks." I pull Xavier's sword sharpener.
"It is a pleasure; we owe you and the brotherhood our thanks." Xavier says.
"You do realize we were enslaved by the Moon Stone, right?" I ask.
"But you quickly came out of it." He says.
I roll my eyes. I start spinning the sword sharpener. Ibis puts his horn onto it. He growls with glee. For some reason he enjoys this feeling. I have no clue why. Anubis growls at me. He pecks my boot. I pull out a dry piece of salty meat and he throws it to me,
"This will take a while." I say to Xavier.
"It's alright, would you like to hear a legend?" Xavier asks.
"I'll pass." I draw back.
I can feel him staring at me. Why is he staring at me? I look back at him.
"What?" I ask.
"Your eyes." He says.
"What's wrong with them?" I ask.
"They remind me of ancient forest spirit, Althael." He says.
I wince at his very name. A name I had long hated. A name that shouldn't even exist. A bunch of memories flash in my mind. Ones I wish to burry. I glare at Xavier.
"He doesn't exist." I hiss.
"You look a little like him." Xavier says.
I take out my sword and I throw it at him. It comes to his neck.
"Never ever, say that again. If you ever do, I'll kill you." I hiss.
I turn from him. I grab Ibis' saddle.
