I'm really, really not in the mood for dinner. I slam my sword into a dummy again. My heart would not stop pounding. First Xaiver curses me with his very name, the next minute I get told by some lava monster they're looking for him. It doesn't matter. He's gone.
"Hector! Hey!" I hear.
I jump. I turn.
"What are you doing here squirt?" I ask.
"Okay. Haha, because you saved my life. I'll let it slide.' He says.
"You do realize you are a squirt, right?" I push his head.
"Okay, come on." He whines.
He just looks at me.
"What?" I ask.
"You're... you're shirtless." He breathes.
"Okay, so." I grab my shirt.
He shakes his head.
"Can you teach me?" He asks.
I turn to him in surprise.
"Teach you?" I ask him.
"Yeah! Teach me to fight!" He takes a sword and start swinging it.
Oh... oh boy. I roll my eyes. He's holding it all wrong. Training him? Me of all people? Quirin should train him. He'd kill me if I'd scratch the boy. However... he needs not to fear the sight of blood anymore. I grab the sword from him.
"Yeah... yeah no." I say.
"Why not?" He asks.
I pull the sword up. He gets pulled up.
"That's why." I drop him.
I take the sword and swing it around properly. I put it back on the shelf. I pull my shirt on.
"Also, your father would actually run a pitchfork through me." I cross my arms.
"Oh!" Varian slaps himself.
"What?" I ask.
"Dinner! We should be at dinner! Dad's gonna kill me!" Varian grabs my hand.
