I look back at him.
"Are you crying?" I ask.
"Whaaa? No, no, no. Just have dust in my eye." He sniffs.
"You're obviously crying." I say.
"So, what if I am?!" He yelps.
I look at his face. It was drowning in tears. I wince as I sit up. He wipes his face.
"This is crazy! That thing was-" He starts.
"Powerful?" I raise an eyebrow.
"Yes! Powerfully crazy! You're bleeding and here I am-" I put my hand over his mouth.
He jumps.
"Kid, quit being throwing a tantrum. You're fine. I'm... getting better." I say.
"But... but..." He starts.
I put my hand over his shoulder.
"Stop crying like a baby." I say.
He nods.
"Come on and say it." I say.
"Okay, okay." I wipe the tears off his face.
I wince as I stand fully up.
"What- what are you doing?" He asks.
"Looking for something." I find the case.
It was perfect as how I remember. An ancient weapon of the forest. A case made of wood older than the dinosaurs with a language only spoken by the trees of this world. I try to heave the rooftop of the case. I wince as my hand slips. I brush it off. Varian comes and helps push.
"Here it is." I pull out a sword.
It started glowing instantly. The handle flowers bloom. I see the golden sparks twinkle.
"Wow, that is fascinating." Varian smiles.
"Let's hope this thing will be enough to kill it." I say.
I turn and hear the doors banging.
"Get behind me, now." I say.
He nods and runs behind me.
"What... what is that?" He asks.
The doors burst open with magic. I look and see Althael staggering in. My eyes widen.
"You're... you're bleeding." I say.
