"Hear me out at least Hector." He says.
"No." I turn.
You said you would come back. I guess you are back now, but why come so late? Why make me grow up and live without you? I needed you! Now of all times you show up. It's been so long. Too long. I don't need you. Nor do I want you. Rapunzel grabs my arm.
"Hector, let's just hear him out, and then we can decide." Rapunzel says.
"You don't know him. I don't even know him." I hiss.
Varian gets in front of me.
"Watch it kid." I say.
"Look, just, let's hear him out. He did say something about the coming of the apocalypse!" Varian yelps.
"You believe this thing?" I point at him.
"Hector, heed my words, a darkness has been reborn it is the very reason I brought you to the willow tree." He says.
I look at him. I let out a breath.
"Okay, fine. I suppose you could at least tell me why you left me in the first place." I say.
"The fire spirit has been reborn, Asray has been freed." He says.
"You mean that fire spirit you told me about in those old stories?" I ask.
"Precisely the one. Asray the World Devour." He says.
"Okay... I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that's bad." Horace says walking up to us.
"It is beyond your worst imagining. A spirit of darkness, wrapped in flames. It will devour the entire world." He says.
"Yeah, yeah, okay ten on the doom scale." Varian says.
"It is beyond ten little boy." He says.
"Okay, great talk dad, now you can go back to the forest." I say.
"You... you seem angrier." He says.
"Athael, you have no damn idea." I push past him.
