"Ms Quinn, just because you killed a Husk doesn't mean you're any better than the rest of us, actually if you want to talk you can come up here and fight" Crow said smirking.
"Professor that would be highly unfair, Angelica has had fighting training and Elorah has not" Hugo said in my defense.
"Fights are not fair, get up here now" Crow demanded. I made my way through the crowd, my heart beating in my ears. I pulled myself up and faced Angelica who was smirking.
"The rules are, for the first fight you may only hit someone when they're standing, you have to fight for a whole minute, whoever is on the ground when the time runs out loses and of course don't kill each other. 3,2,1, fight!"
As soon as he finished Angelica shot at me with the first punch. Her fist flew and I dogged it. Another fist flew and I fell back just avoiding the hit. I sprung up and almost got a hit on Angelica's stomach, but she grabbed my fist moving it to her side, I closed my eyes as Angelica punched me hard in the side of the face. I flew back landing on my chest, my head and vision blurred with static for a moment before I felt the pain. The pain awoke bad memories, the sound of breaking glass and yelling filled my ears as the right side of the room erupted into cheers.
"30 seconds" shouted Crow. I needed to get up, I tried too push myself up with her hands, but I instantly felt dizzy.
"20 seconds. I told you Elorah you're not special" shouted Crow. I need to get up I can't lose like this, don't let fear win. My eyes open as Crow said, "10 seconds"
I pulled myself up fighting the dizziness.
"5 seconds"
Angelica gave an angry sound when I dogged two more of her punches.
"3,2,1 stop" Crow says annoyed. I sighed closing my eyes I leaned on my knees breathing. I then stood up straight and jumped off the stage angrily.
"Elorah you're bleeding!" Jhanavie whispered.
"Not surprised" I say flatly.
"Doesn't that hurt?" She asked as I got out a rag from my bag and pat the side of my face.
"No not really" I answered, finding the cut where Angelica hit me. It broke the skin right in front of her ear. Luckily it wasn't that bad and would heal in a few days.
"Elorah what was that?" Hugo asked irritated
"I told she's a good fighter" I say looking at the blood on the rag
"No you made a stupid move, and then you got hurt, this is about what you did wrong!" He scolded angrily.
"Trust me this doesn't hurt!" I say harshly.
"I dont give a damn. Were you even trying, god you're an embarrassment the left wing" Hugo scoffed.
"What else is new? Professor, may I be excused?" I asked Crow, I needed to get out, too much sounds and too many visuals.
"Yes, you have 15 minutes" he affirmed in a slimy voice.
I nodded grabbing my stuff.

Carder Ellis

After E.L.A I had a lot of time before dinner. I was walking to my dorm through the courtyard where other students were talking and reading and running, just having fun, when there was a flash in the sky. It started to rain and there was a crack of thunder. There was a limited amount of things I was scared of, and thunderstorms were one of them, it may be my greatest fear. I sprinted to the tower and got on the lift as fast as he could. My heart was pounding in my head and my palms were sweaty. The lift clicked into place and I jumped off not seeing Ellie. I smacked into her by accident. Another crack of thunder shook the tower so I was too panicked to say sorry.
"Carder what in the world-" Ellie said, I slammed open the dorm door and sprinted to my room, I fell down into the space between the bed and the nightstand. I couldn't breathe, the rain, the thunder, the lightning. It was to loud it filled his brain and thoughts. What if it knocked the tower down, what if one of the guys are struck by lightning, what if- The door to my room cracked open and Ellie's soft face appeared. I felt a wave of embarrassment, the only time I ever get embarrassed is when I'm scared. Now Ellie was looking at me curled up in a corner scared to shit, and embarrassed. Ellie sighed, walked over and sat down leaning against the bed. She didn't talk or ask questions she didn't even look at me, she had her head up against the bed and her eyes were closed. I felt better having someone in the room with me and I thinks Ellie knows that. Ellie was weird, well not really, it was just weird how attractive she is, and still so humble and kind. She was so fucking attractive, it was insane! I still like her as a friend though. Someone can think you're attractive but not be attracted to you. But seriously, her hair the color of the sun draped over her shoulders, her skin perfectly smooth, and her eyes a striking light blue, or gray, I couldn't tell. Not to mention she was tall, a bit taller than me even. Well I'm also kinda short.
"Ellie, how tall are you?" I asked abruptly.
"That was so random" she whispered, not moving.
"I could have asked you how many times you take a shower a week" I said back. Ellie chuckled softly and said
"5,6"
"Damn!" I whispered, I am only 5,5 and the amount of time he had been called a short king was crazy.

It was a while later and the storm was mostly over, and the time was 4:33, 37 minutes till dinner.
"Ready?" Ellie asked, looking at me, her eyes looking ghostly in the dim light.
"Yah let's go" I sighed and got up using the table as support.
"Wait, Ellie" she stopped and looked at me.
"I just wanted to say thank you, you did me a good favor, oh and please don't tell anyone about this" I say quickly, thanking people was always hard for some reason.
"You're welcome, and my lips are zipped" Ellie pretended to zip a zipper on her mouth.
Out in the dorm were the rest of the guys and girls.
"There you guys are! We were waiting" Sam told us walking in, he was leaning on the back of the sofa. Enzo was sitting on the windowsill smoking, again. Mateo was sitting in the throne chair again, but he was giving both of them an intense death stare. Hugo was poring himself a glass of water at the counter on the side of the room. Jack was reading on the sofa. Kitty and Charlie were snuggled up together in the sofa chair.
"Oh Ellie hi" Kitty jumped up and ran to Ellie trying to hug her but Ellie stepped back.
"Sorry but no hugs, please!" Ellie pleaded "I'm just not a hug person" she added when Kitty looked disappointed.
"Fine whatever!" Kitty huffed plopping down next to Charlie.
"That storm was nasty" I say changing the subject.
"Why were you in his room?" Mateo asks as if we were doing something bad, the room went quiet. Ellie looked at me for an answer, but I couldn't think of one that was not the truth, I don't want my friends to know I am scared of storms.
"Enzo the smoke is burning my nose" Kitty yelled covering her nose.
"That sounds like a you problem" he pushed back.
"Open the window Enzo" Sam demanded.
"Not my fault y'all can't handle the smell" he said rudely, as Ellie stormed over shoving him to open the window.
"What the fuck!!" He yelled as Ellie grabbed the cigarette and threw it out the window.
"What the hell's wrong with you!" Enzo stood up and shoved her shoulders, then she shoved him back.
"Your self absorbed, jerk!!!" Ellie yelled as Jack grabbed her arm.
Sam was calmly whispering to Enzo holding him back. That was weird, I have only known Ellie for a couple of days but from what I has seen this is not like her, something must have really ticked her off.
