Hey guys Mia here I sincerely apologize for making a few of these chapters super short I may have to put this story on Hiatus. Only because the next Spider-Man movie may come out in two years. And because I have no idea what the plot's gonna be.

Plus I have other stories I want to publish for you guys to read. Once I decide if this story is going to be on Hiatus I'll formally announce it. But right now I want you guys to enjoy this chapter.

Peter's POV

I honestly don't know how to feel, today I have a meeting with one of the law firms that Pepper called. I hope they take the case, even if they've heard of my "reputation", and if not, we'll keep trying until my case is taken. Someone has to know. It's even in the Constitution. But I'm keeping my hopes low, knowing the current legacy of the Maximoff name.

I know I should take precautions, but at the same time paranoia can bring the worst in people. If I overthink things that might ruin the progress to make.

We got to the law firm and waited twenty minutes and then were called into the office.

A man greeted as we stepped into his office, "Hello Mrs. Stark, please, sit down." He introduced as he shook her hand, "My  name is Nolan McKenna, nice to meet you all."

"Nice to meet you Mr. McKenna I'm Wanda and this is Peter my younger brother." Wanda greeted. Thank you Wanda there was no way I was gonna introduce myself.

"I know who you two are. Trust me when I told some of my staff that you and I were having a meeting they were told to be on their best behavior." He said.

Well, one guy gave me the side eye when he thought I wasn't looking, and another lady just shook her head in silence so I'd say that they're faking it till they make it." He continued, "Pepper already told me everything, so you don't have to explain anything. However, there's a slight problem."

"What is it?" I asked.

"Well, the public has already painted a clear image of you, and frankly, it isn't pretty. Very few are rooting for you, but it's not much. And we have no idea what the jury will think, because they're not allowed to speak, unless being asked a question or giving the verdict."

"Meaning so, if I were to take this case it could go south very quickly and there wouldn't be anything we could do. The defendant is going to bring everything they've got, including manipulation to make sure you lose your case, and we obviously don't want that."

He made eye contact with me, "I want to help in any way I can but I can tell your hesitant kid."

"I am hesitant because I don't know what I'm going to do once all of this stuff comes in effect it's scary." I said.

"I just want all of this to stop so I can go back to living my life again."

"I understand that but let me do some thinking and I'll get back to you." Mr. McKenna smiled. We talked a little more and then headed back home.

Third POV

After the meeting a lot of Nolan coworkers didn't like that he was taking Peter's case but he didn't care so he went on reading every file that he could get his hands on and studying as much as he needed.

But meanwhile at the precinct Officer Daniels the officer who harassed Peter had just been given a stack of papers that read he wasn't allowed to talk to the Maximoffs and he wasn't very happy to say the least.

As Officer Daniels was causing a scene in front of basically everyone in the precinct his partner got ahold of him.

Officer Daniels exclaimed, "Seriously I didn't do anything to the kid! I was interrogating him it's my job!"

"Calm down man it's an open and shut case."

"What do you mean?" Daniels asked.

"There's no way they're going to win that kid murdered someone why would anyone try to let him walk free?" His partner Malcom said.

"Maybe but you never know," said Daniels.

"Like I said it's an open and shut case."
