After all the excitement in the lobby, we decided to head outside. Despite being in Hell, the air had a peculiar chill to it—something I hadn't experienced before. As we stepped outside, my jaw dropped.
Snow. Actual snow. It was falling softly, covering the ground in a blanket of white. It was surreal to see in Hell, where the usual heat and fire dominated everything. The snowflakes floated down gently, creating a peaceful, almost magical atmosphere that was hard to comprehend.
"Is this... real?" I whispered, feeling a snowflake land on the tip of my nose. Lucifer, who had been walking beside me, looked just as stunned. He reached up and caught a snowflake with his hand, his eyes wide with a mix of confusion and wonder.
"It appears to be," he said, his voice laced with disbelief. "I... don't know how this is happening."
Charlie and Vaggie, who had been behind us, came up, grinning. "I've never seen snow before!" Charlie said, her voice bubbling with excitement. She started spinning in circles, her arms outstretched, catching snowflakes on her tongue. Vaggie was laughing at the sight of her girlfriend's joy, rolling her eyes playfully but clearly enjoying the moment too.
Meanwhile, Alastor, who was admiring the snow with a more analytical look, said, "Fascinating! Snow in Hell... now that's something to behold!" He looked to his side at Cloud, who was giggling as snow landed in her hair.
"Looks like a Christmas miracle," Cloud teased, raising an eyebrow. Alastor gave her a knowing smile, as if pondering the bizarre nature of it all.
The others were catching snowflakes, laughing, and trying to make snowballs. Vox, with his usual sense of style, was carefully examining the snow as though it were some rare collectible. "I don't know how I feel about this. Snow in Hell seems a bit... unnatural," he mused.
"Don't be such a grinch," Angie teased, smacking him on the shoulder as she made a snowball and tossed it at him. It missed, but she just laughed.
Blitzø, always the instigator, bent down and packed a snowball, launching it at Stolas. "Snowball fight!" he yelled, laughing wildly as Stolas ducked, the snowball hitting him square in the chest.
I watched all of this with a content smile on my face. The laughter, the joy—it was all so... real. The last thing I expected on Christmas in Hell was snow, but there it was, and for a brief moment, everything felt a little more magical.
I felt a nudge beside me, and turned to find Lucifer standing there, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Care to join the snowball fight?" he asked, his voice soft but playful.
"Are you trying to trick me into getting hit with a snowball?" I teased, raising an eyebrow.
"Maybe," he replied with a smirk, the usual cockiness replaced with something a bit softer. "But... it seems like fun."
I hesitated for a moment, then grinned. "Alright, you're on."
And just like that, I was caught up in the most unexpected, yet delightful snowball fight in Hell. We laughed as we ducked and dodged, each of us trying to outwit the others. Lucifer and I made a pretty good team, sneaking up on people and launching snowballs when they least expected it.
As the day went on, we played together, forming memories that would last far longer than any of us could have imagined. The connection between Lucifer and me grew stronger with each passing moment, and I couldn't help but notice how every glance between us seemed to hold more than just friendship. There was something deeper, a spark that only seemed to burn brighter as we spent time together in this strange, snowy version of Hell.
It was a day of surprises, laughter, and a little bit of magic in the air—a day I would never forget.
