THIRD PERSON

"Ohayohay!" Everyone chanted, as Ben and Alex fist bumped each other, as they were going through what to do at the final minutes of the game.

"This is a nail-biter, folks. There's 47 seconds left on the clock. We're all tied all. The Sherwood Falcons, two. The Fighting Knights, two. What a game between Auradon's fiercest rivals." The announcer says into the mic.

"Get 'em, Chad." Jay said as he was sitting next to Carlos on the bench.

"Thanks, Jay." Chad looks back as pats him on the shoulder, before running onto the field where Alex and Ben where.

"As the teams get into their huddles and take up the positions along the Kill Zone. The dragoneers have been lying down a withering hail of fire." The announcer continued talking through the mic.

"You're up!" Coach Jenkins turns towards Jay and Carlos, but his was looking at Jay.

"And now a substitution by Coach Jenkins." The announcer adds.

"Coach, how about my buddy here?" Jay stood up as he pulls Carlos up with him, and Carlos looks at him nervously.

"Oh, no." Carlos gets out of his grip and sits back down on the bench.

"Not so sure about that." Coach Jenkins says as he looked at Jay then Carlos.

"Coach, he's been practicing." Jay pleaded and he pulled Carlos to his feet again.

"Jay..." Carlos starts but Jay cuts him off.

"And you said yourself a team is made up of a bunch of parts." Jay continued talking as he puts his arm around.

"Jay, I'm not that good." Carlos looks at him with a nervous look.

"Well, he's kind of like my brain." Jay adds as he ruffles Carlos' hair and Carlos rolls his eyes.

"Amir!" Coach Jenkins shouts over for one of the other players and he runs over to them.

"You heard him. Get out there!" Coach Jenkins passes Carlos a tourney stick.

"Don't worry, bro. I got your back." Jay turns to Carlos with a smile on his face.

"How about my front?" Carlos asked Jay as he smirked and they both go onto the field.

"He's bringing that hothead Jay in from the Isle of the Lost and that little guy Carlos who an barely hold a shield." The announcer says as Jay and Carlos ran over to Alex and Ben.

"Break!" Alex puts his hand in and everyone else does the same.

"Knights!" They all say in unison.

"When they break from their huddles, this is gonna be a big moment here. And the tipoff is ready." The announcer continued talking.

The referee blows his whistle

"Here we go. Long pass goes to Jay."

"Jay dishes off to Prince Ben."

"Nice little block by Carlos."

"He does a little dancing jig in his opponent's face."

"And now Jay gets the ball back. Here comes Jay!"

"Jay, hurdling maneuver at mid-field."

"I'm open!" Alex yells as he was running in the midfield.

"Jay makes a nice pass to prince Alex through the kill zone."

"Jay!" Alex yells as he runs wider, gives the ball back to Jay.

"He's in the clear! shot! Oh, what a save by Philip the Falcons' goalkeeper!"

"Come on!" Ben and Alex say in unison as they both went over to Jay and pats him on the shoulder.

"All right, all right, let's do it!" Ben adds, as the three jog away to their end of the field again.

"Come on, guys! Come on, hustle, hustle!" Coach Jenkins yells out to his players.

"23 seconds left. You could cut the tension with a sword."

"The long ball is played into Jay."

"Jay, great jump, great leap."

"And a great move by Jay. Big block from Chad."

"Jay dishes off to prince Ben. And then Carlos with a big block, goes down."

"Jay through the kill zone, picks up Carlos."

"Let's go!" Jay says as he held Carlos by the back of his shirt.

"I got it." Carlos uses his shield to block the dragon fire.

"Oh, he's being hammered by dragon fire. Still, going on."

"Jay, hurdling maneuver at mid-field. He's in the clear."

"The ball goes back to Jay."

"Hey, Jay!" Carlos says as he goes in front of Jay.

"Carlos?" Jay continues running with the ball, as he throws the ball to Carlos' shield, making the ball drift upwards.

"Go up!" Carlos suggests to Jay, as Jay jumps over Carlos.

"Ben!"

"He passes to Prince Ben."

"He scores!"

The crowd starts cheering, and Alex runs over to his brother, taking off his helmet and ruffles his hair. As they all celebrate their win together.

"Prince Ben has won it!"

"What an unselfish play by Jay!"

"What a team! Incredible!"

"And it's the new guys, Jay and Carlos,"

"Who set up the prince for the win here. What a victory! An absolutely wonderful end"

"To one of the best games ever. Here they come, folks. The winners of the first tourn--"

Ben walks over to the announcer, taking the mic from his hands.

"Excuse me. Excuse me. Can I have your attention, please? There's something I'd like to say." Ben starts, and Alex walked over to his brother, looking at him with a confused expression, he looks in the crowd and he sees Evie smile at him and wave at him, he returns the smile and wave.

"Give me an "M"!"

"m"! all of the crowd.

"Give me an "a"!

"a"! all of the crowd.

"Give me an "l"!

"What does that spell?"

"Mal!"

"Come on, I can't hear you!"

"Mal!

"I love you, Mal! Did I mention that?"

All of the crowd, kept on cheering and Alex saw Audrey run off the field.

"Give me a beat! Whoo!

"Uno, dos, tres, quarto!"

The band begins to play, after Doug as told them to.

"Oh, my god!" Mal turns her head to Evie, to see her smiling.

"What was in that cookie?" Mal starts as Evie finishes the last part of what Mal was going to say.

ALEX'S POV

I saw Audrey run over to the bleachers where, Ben, Mal and Lonnie, Evie where.

"Chad's my boyfriend now! And I'm going to the coronation with him. So I don't need your pity date." Audrey grabbed the mic off Ben, and turned to Chad to peck his lips and I see Evie's face turn into a frown.

Ben grabbed the mic off Audrey as he turns back to Mal before speaking in it.

"Mal! Will you go to the coronation with me?"

Mal sighs and nods her head as she looked back at Ben.

"Yes." She spoke into the mic.

"She said yes!" Ben says into the mic as everyone cheered again.

"Let's go, Ben. The whole team's waiting for you." Jay comes up to Ben, as he grabbed his shoulder.

They walk down the stairs and I smile at them both, before I head towards where Mal and Evie where.

I come up to the bleachers, and I walk past Audrey and I stand next to Evie, she's looking away.

"I feel really sorry for Audrey." I began to talk as I look over at Evie with a smile.

"You do?" Evie asks as she looked at me.

I nod my head as I cross my arms, still looking at her with a smile.

"Let's just say I've never liked her at all...but she's not talented like you are..." I send her a reassuring smile as she smiled back at me.

"Thank you, Alex." She hugs my side, as I rub my hand up and down her arm.

"No problem. You deserve so much better than Chad....believe me...anyone would be lucky to have you." I say as she looked up at me and she stares at me before Mal clears her throat.

It was the next day and I'm sitting next to Evie and Doug in our chemistry class, where Chad is still sitting in front of us.

Evie went into her bag, to look for something and I could see Mr. Deley walked over to our table, holding out a mirror in his hands.

"Looking for something?" He asks as Evie looks up from her bag.

"Thank you, Chad." He places his hand on Chad's shoulder and Chad looks at Evie with a smug grin on his face.

"It's gratifying to see someone still respect the honor code." Mr. Deley adds and Evie glares back at Chad.

"It will be my recommendation that you are expelled." He starts but I cut him off.

"Mr. Deley, I..." Evie starts and I stand up and I look at Mr. Deley.

"Sir that isn't fair. Obviously she wasn't cheating since she didn't have that...Whatever it is." I point towards the mirror and Evie looks up at me.

"It's called a magic..." Evie starts as she looked back at Mr. Deley.

"You're not helping, stop." I lean down and whisper into her ear.

"Maybe she needed another pencil?" Doug adds as he looked over at Mr. Deley.

"Actually, I was..." Evie starts again as I nudge her slightly for her to stop.

"Really. Don't help." I look at her with a serious expression.

"Please." Doug pleaded as he looked at Mr. Deley.

"Well, if you can pass this test, I'll return your property and let the matter drop." Mr. Deley looked over at us, as he walked back over to his desk.

"Thank you." Evie mouthed to him, then looked at me with a smile.

I see that Chad grins at her and she glares at him and I nudge her gently and point to the paper work.

After class, I went off to do some prince duties for my coronation. I grab my guitar from my room and I go to the enchanted lake as this was my quiet place ever since I was younger.

I start strumming my guitar, looking down at what I'm doing and I see Evie run towards me with an excited expression on her face.

She puts the paper in my face and I smile at her.

"I knew you could do it." She sat beside me, and continues looking at her paper.

"For the first time, it's like I'm more than just a pretty face." She says with a smile as she looked up at me.

"A shocker, huh?" I smile back at her as I look away for a minute.

"You were pretty great in there." She says as she places her hand on my forearm.

"So were you. But Doug also helped aswell." I place my hands onto hers, she intertwines our fingers as she looks down at our hands, smiling.

"I bet I can get an "a" on the next test without the mirror." She still had her smile on her face, as she looked back up at me.

"We can hang out, I mean if you're up for it

"We can hang out, I mean if you're up for it." I look at her, and I see a hint of blush appear on her cheeks, she looks down as she bites her lower lip.

"Yeah, let's get together." She nods as head, as her hands were still on my own.

We both stare at each other before I clear my throat and she looks down at my guitar and brushes a piece of blue strand hair behind her ear.

"So, what were you doing?" She asks as she looked back at me.

"Oh, just a little something." I looked down with a smile and looked back to see Evie staring back at me.

"Alex, can you play it to me?" She smiles at me and I admire how her eyes light up in the sun.

"Alex." Her voice snaps me back to reality as I looked at her again she had this beautiful smile on her face.

"Uh, it's not finished yet." I run my fingers through my hair, and I return the smile.

She pouts at me and I roll my eyes playfully as I chuckle softly.

"Fine." I smiled as I reached over and grab my guitar putting it on my lap.

I start strumming the guitar, and looking down at what I'm doing and I start humming, I look up at Evie and smile at her.

After that finished, I put the guitar down and I look up to see Evie with a huge smile on her face.

"Alex, that was amazing." She scoots closer to me, placing her hand onto my arm.

We both stare at one another, and we both don't realize that we're both leaning in until we're both interrupted by two voices.

We turn our heads to see Mal & Ben coming back from the other side of the lake.

We both stand up and we both head toward them.

Ben gives me a look and I try and avoid his eyes because he knew if they didn't interrupt us Evie and I would've kissed.

Mal pulled Evie away, as they were having their own conversation.

I eventually look up at Ben, and he has a huge smirk on his face.

"You like her don't you?" He smiled at me, and I nod my head slightly, and rubs the back of my neck.

"Are you going to tell her how you feel about her?" Ben whispers only for me to hear, I shake my head and he looks at me confused.

"Why not?" He looks at Evie & Mal and back at me.

"Because mom and dad won't approve of it..and I don't know, she probably doesn't like me back Ben." I lean against the tree as I looked over at Evie.

"It's more of dad, you know what he is like Ben..he'll disapprove of everything.." I shove my hands into my hands and I start to walk away, I could feel Evie's gaze.

She quickly follows behind, she was shouting my name. "Alex!" She kept following me until I turned around to look at her.

"Listen, we shouldn't be friends..we're from different worlds..I'm sorry Evie." I walk away before she could say anything.

I walk away into the gardens, and runs my hands across my face and groans, and I sit down onto the grass.

"Alex." I turn to see Evie, she has a hurt expression on her face.

"Please talk to me," she says as she sat next to me.

"I think I like this girl..and if I told my parents about her..they wouldn't want me to be with her.." I look down at my hands and then at Evie.

"You like someone?" She asks and i nod my head as I look away from her slightly.

She nods and she stands up and I follow what she's doing and she begins to walk away.

"She's you.." Alex whispers as he watched Evie walk away from him.
