Levi's POV
"Have you guys seen Armin?" I could hear Mikasa frantically asking Jean, Sasha, and Connie, who were sitting down in the cafeteria eating their dinner.
The cafeteria was full but Armin's sudden disappearance was something that everyone was talking about.
"No. I haven't seen him. Maybe he's training somewhere secluded?" Sasha stopped eating her bread.
"That's so weird. Apparently Y/N is missing too." Connie joined in.
"It's so weird because Y/N's parents were here in the morning talking to Commander Erwin. I didn't know Y/N very much, but somehow in the time she spent here we bonded. I hope she's okay."
The group of wannabe heroes were sitting a few tables from where I was sitting but it wasn't hard to hear Sasha. She spoke really loud especially with food stuffed in her mouth.
"I heard of her disappearance as well. I went this afternoon to her house to speak to her parents." Titan boy spoke.
I gritted my teeth. How does that freak know where she lives?
"They are in a distraught state over their missing daughter. But we'll find both Armin and her."
I held back a smirk remembering how Commander Erwin called me to his office and her parents were already there. Worried out of their minds because their daughter didn't return home. It's all their fault for offering their daughter to me.
I quickly began to gather leftovers to take to Y/N. My actions came to a stop as I heard quick footsteps quickly approaching my way.
"Levi!!!!!" I rolled my eyes at the sound of the annoying voice approaching. "Why are you sitting here all alone??"
"I'm just trying to eat dinner in peace, Hange."
"All alone? That's so sad." Hange couldn't help to make a face at the thought of me being alone. "Anyways I came here to see how you were doing. I'm pretty sure you've heard the rumors??"
"Yes, Armin wasn't in training today." I looked away taking a sip of my tea. "Nobody who wants to survive the outside-of-walls expeditions misses training."
"I was talking about y/n. Her parents even printed some missing person fliers with her name and face on it." Hange's always lighted-up, enthusiastic eyes revealed concerned for a second.
"They came to talk to Erwin and I this morning." It was obvious that Hange was trying to get a reaction from me. "But if it's Armin who she wants...."
"Huh????? Y/N and Armin?!?!" Hange exclaimed so loud that the other cadets turned to look at us.
"Well yes. Y/N and Armin began a relationship. I assumed they ran off together." I looked down at my cup of tea.
"Aww Levi." Hange reached for my hand. I couldn't bear to see how sad Hange felt for me.
"It's fine. I've been seeing someone." I lied.
"Who??"
By instinct I looked at the strawberry blonde looking my way.
"Petra?? Awww Levi you two make a lovely couple!!" Hange was so happy for me and I was so happy that I could give Hange peace of mind....at least for a while. Hange was one of the few people that I cared about that were still alive.
I forced a smile and quickly excused myself. Avoiding any other questions Hange asked away about my relationship with Petra.
"Petra." I walked up to her as soon as I saw her walking towards Eren's annoying group of brats.
"Captain Levi!" Her eyes widened as the color of her face drained as soon as she heard my voice.
"I've told you to call me Levi." I have never in my life told her that, but I lied because Eren and his friends were already looking our way.
"W-What did you need, Levi?" Her face was bright red and her eyes avoided mine.
"Follow me." And when we walked out of the crowded cafeteria, I pinned her to the wall.
"I'm pretty sure you've heard the rumors going around." I began and she quickly nodded.
"Yes. Armin is missing and Y/N's parents came this morning to talk to Commander Erwin."
"I don't want you to say anything about what you saw or heard in the bathroom this morning."
Her eyes avoided mine. The floor seemed more interesting to her than looking at me.
"You would get me in a lot of trouble, Petra. I mean it." I lifted her chin to make eye contact and kissed her as soon as I saw cadets leaving the cafeteria to go to their dorms.
Eren and his friends taking a glance our way as they excited the cafeteria.
I broke the kiss and her face was bright red.
"Goodnight strawberry short cake." I told her as I walked away.
Walked back to my y/n.
Walls whispering rumors in my ears about Armin and my y/n running away together. Two hopeless lovers.
I smirked at the cadets stupidities.
I made sure that y/n and Armin could never be together the day he decided to look at my y/n with romantic feelings.
