"You did it" she thought smiling and looking at him in tv

Her thoughts got interrupted by the knock on her apartments door.

She looked at the clock and frowned before going to open the door.

Her blood turned cold as soon as she opened. Her worst nightmare was on her door.

She left him but the divorce was still pending. Although he didn't knew where she lived but seems like he found her.

She tried to close the door but before she could he pushed the door open went inside the room before locking it.

"You really thought you could escape from me" he said as he went closer to me

Tears were already flowing through my eyes as he gripped my hair...

Bondita looked herself in mirror and noticed more new bruises on her body. She couldn't bear this pain anymore, she wants to get free from his tortures.

Two days later,

"Sir..." his assistant called Anirudh as he was having his alcohol

"hmm.." he hummed

"These are some urgent cases you need to check" he said handling him the file

"Among every case this case is something different, it's a domestic violence case and also marital assault case.

The wife filed a case against her husband who sexually and physically assaulted her daily and she wants justice for herself with divorce."

He continued

"Wow... women are standing up for themselves, it's really a great progress but you know I don't take type of cases so please give her Saurabh's number and tell her to ask him to fight for her" Anirudh replied

"I also told her the same thing but she wanted you to fight her case" he replied

"That's impossible you know." Anirudh said sternly

"I know sir but the lady is suborn and not ready to listen to anything" he replied

"What's the name of the lady?" Anirudh asked

"Mrs Bondita Banerjee" he replied while Anirudh's head snapped towards him

"There are more details about her in the file" he continued

Anirudh immediately opened the file and started reading each and every detail of her.

"It's her" he thought

"She is still waiting outside the cabin" his assistant said bringing Anirudh out of his thought

"Call her inside" he ordered While his assistant left nodding.

She entered the cabin with heavy heart which was now going to blast due to the speed of the beats it was taking.

She wore a full sleeved suit which covered her wounds and scars.

As for anirudh, all the memories of them flooded in front of him as a river including the betrayal she gave.

He noticed that her face was pale and the shine she had in her was gone but still... Still her eyes carried the same innocence as before.

But he didn't miss to noticed the nuptial chain and vermilion in her partition and neck which clearly screamed about her being married.

"It's really nice to meet you again... Anirudh" she said with her weak voice

Somehow his heart clenched at her weak voice, he always heard her speak in fierce and confident way. But now her voice was weak with lack of confidence.

"Can we directly come to the point?" He asked looking at her blankly

She gulped all her emotion and nodded

"I want you to fight my case" she informed

"I can't" he declared while she looked at him confusingly

"Are you doing this because of what happened years ago?" she asked as tears streamed out of her eyes

"No! it's because I can't trust a woman like you" he replied looking away from her

He can't show her that her tears effects him.

"A woman like me?" she asked feeling hurt

"Yes, years ago you left me because I was poor, who knows if you are really assaulted or your are just trying to get rid of him because he couldn't satisfy your greed."

Each and every word from his mouth were stabbing her heart again and again.

"You think so low of me" she murmured

"This is not what I think, this is what you forced me to think. The betrayal you gave years ago... how can I trust you again."

He said without knowing the damage he was doing

"Please Anirudh believe me, I am not faking it. I really need your help, I don't want you to forgive me but please... please help me" She literally begged but he ignored

"I am sorry, I can't help you with it. You may leave now" he declared while looking at the files again while bondita hoped that maybe he will look at her once

But he didn't

"Please Anirudh, rethink about it. Your one wrong move and my whole life will get destroyed. I really need your help" she said before leaving

As soon as she left, he banged the table with his fist.

A lot of emotions were flowing inside him.

Sad, anger, happy...

But alas! his hate was so big that he ignored the scars in her face, the hurt and fear in her eyes. He ignored everything.
