UNOS
The cafeteria erupted into chaos. Everyone was screaming - fights erupted like a horny asshole's dick.
*Me writing this: Should I keep that? Probably not, but it is rated mature and you know what just fuck it
"SIMONE!"
"ANDY!" Andy reached out, seizing hold of Simone's sleeve, but losing her hold in the sheer mass of the crowd. She gave up on that and began fighting her way towards the school doors, shoving others carelessly out of her way, even trampling some of the smaller kids.
At one point, she heard Kaz yelling hoarsely for her. She struggled valiantly towards his voice, but couldn't see him in the flood of bodies. She hollered and screamed until she had no voice, but there was no response.
So she continued to the doors. All she could think about was Clayton. Where was he? Was he alright?
After a few minutes of literally fighting a kid to get out the door, Andy wiped a bit of blood onto her pants and took a breather. Then she texted everyone, pacing and biting her lip. Zillions of questions raced through her head. How long is this gonna last? Is everyone gonna make it out alive? Am I gonna make it out alive? Man, I hope I can get some good shit outta this. I fucking better.
Just as she was getting buried by the overwhelming flow, a short girl with brown hair burst out of the door and fell into her arms. She caught her smoothly.
"You alright there, sweetheart?" The girl flicked her hair out of her flushed face. Andy's eyebrows raised a fraction. "Oh, hey Lacie."
"H-hi Andy," Lacie stammered, instantly righting herself. She straightened her pair of dark overalls and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear in a nervous manner. She almost looked like she was about to burst into tears.
"Hey, it's gonna be okay. Stick with me and you'll be fine. I promise." Lacie nodded. Andy grinned and clapped her on the shoulder.
"Alright Baby, let's go look for Mini Mona." Andy set off towards a different entrance in the back of the school, thinking she might have a chance of finding Simone there. Lacie trailed behind, jogging to keep up.
"Baby? Oh God, am I Baby? I am, aren't I?"
"Yes, that is your nickname, isn't it?"
"It's one of them," Lacie huffed glumly. Andy chuckled, a throaty sound that had Lacie's heart fluttering.
"What are your other ones?"
"Um, sometimes people call me Little Lay."
"Hm." Andy quieted for a few seconds, the pace she was setting brutal. In honesty, she was terrified for her two other best friends. She needed to get to them as soon as possible. "Little Flower."
"What?"
"That's your name now. Little Flower."
"But-"
"Hush now, Little Flower," Andy teased, glancing mischievously over her shoulder. Lacie rolled her eyes but internally swooned.
A couple more minutes in silence led them to the band room door. Andy slammed the side of her fist against it. "LET US IN!"
The door opened just a crack. Andy took the chance to wriggle half of her hand and her toes into the door and pried it open. The person on the other side pulled hard, trying to shut it. Andy grimaced and bared her teeth, pulling with all of her strength.
"A little help?!" she grunted.
"I'm not that strong!" Lacie squeaked. The struggle went on for a few more seconds.
"It's me, Andy Layton! I won't murder you."
"Andy? Andy! OhmygoshI'msosososorry!" The door flew open and the other person and flung themselves into Andy, whose breath left her.
"Um, I need to breathe, Mones." Simone giggled.
"Oh, yeah. Right."
"Have you seen Kaz?"
"No." Andy cursed. Lacie made a face.
"That's a naughty word." She slowly turned, raising an eyebrow at Lacie.
"And why does that matter?"
"It's school. You don't say naughty words in school." Andy scoffed.
"It's the Purge. I can do whatever the fuck I want." Lacie looked down at her shoes. Andy turned back to Simone.
"So... what's the game plan here?"
"Let's see. I got a truck that can fit three, four if need be. Maybe six if people ride in the back with the dead bodies. There's no way we're not robbing at least five big stores, like Best Buy and shit, and I've got a few people in mind that I definitely want dead. But if we're gonna steal shit, we gotta go now." Lacie opened her mouth to say something but was cut off by Simone.
"Okay. I'll go find Kaz. You take Lacie to your truck, and we'll meet in the parking lot."
"Wait, Simone-"
"Deal. Later loser." Andy and Simone exchanged a high five, then she took Lacie's arm and started to drag her through the school.
"Where are we going?!"
"I told you I'd keep you safe, Little Flower," Andy said with a rare gentle smile. Lacie swallowed and nodded.
"O-okay." Andy released her grip on Lacie's arm. Instantly, she started to fall behind, staring wide-eyed at the occasional spatter of blood on the walls.
"Come on, Little Flower. Keep up."
"I wish you wouldn't call me that."
"Too bad." Andy grinned, and at that moment Lacie knew there was no changing it. "Come on." So she continued to drag Lacie to her truck.
"Woah, that's your truck?"
"Hell yeah, baby!" Andy shouted, slapping the hood of her 1966 Ford F100. Sure, it was a little rusty, but it still got her places, and damn it sounded good. She hopped in the driver's seat and started the engine. She bit her lip and fought to restrain a moan, not quite succeding. Lacie glanced over in horror. "Sorry," Andy mumbled sheepishly. "It's just a beautiful sound."
She kicked it into gear and rumbled up to the school doors, honking loudly.
"Hey, scooch over here."
"Why?"
"Selfie time." Andy smiled and patted the bench seat. Lacie took a deep breath, trying vainly to keep her cool, and sidled over to Andy. She held up her phone and smiled. Lacie winked and puckered her lips.
"That's so adorable!" Andy said, already captioning. She tagged Lacie and posted it on her Instagram. Awkwardly, Lacie receded to the passenger's seat.
"Do you mind if I send this to my boyfriend?" Lacie blinked, surprised and slightly disappointed.
"Not at all."
"Lit."
"ANDY!"
"Hey Kaz."
"Hit the gas or tote your ass, Andy."
"You got it, boss."
