for the characters with orphan backgrounds (the artist & the sedeina), they will have been given a standard bastard surname depending on where they were born since they weren't adopted or claimed by a parent. this is why the white knight wears her mother's family name (since she was recognized by her mother). anyways, the bastard names are as follows:

north territory — winters
east territory — woods
west territory — meadows
south territory — summers

as for the knight, though not mentioned (oops), they were taken in by a captain of a city guard and therefore will have gained his surname.

in addition, every one of the seven assassins except for the advisor's daughter, the artist, the sedeina, & the knight will have an alias (although the knight technically has two surnames—the adoptive one and the birth one).

then, for the pets part, this is mostly only for the khalidan royals and the cydonian royals. the cydonian forms should include their past dragons (with names bc ya know, dragons are named by their riders if they have a rider). the khalidan wolves should also be included here. finally, your character can have non-exotic pets if you would like them to have one.
