𝒂𝒏 𝒊𝒍𝒍-𝒇𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒇𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒍,

four days ago, the khalidans arrived and a ball was hosted in honor of the king's new marriage and the arrival of the foreign royals. while delivering a brief speech, the king revealed that the foreign royals would be competing for the hand of the crown prince. those who failed would be executed alongside their family and she who succeeded would become the future queen and her brother would be allowed to govern their former kingdom. however, this doesn't apply to the khalidans who face no consequences should they lose this game.

❚ MEGARIS, ELYRIA.
within the lush, agricultural city of megaris, the seat of the seventh queen's house, a festival is being hosted for all to attend. in this beautiful city, people may shop, go touristing, participate in sports and competitions, enjoy the lavish feasts being presented, engage in dance and games, or simply watch everything go on from the stands. in my own humble opinion, i'd say this is the perfect opportunity for a slaughter or two but that's just me.

THE EVENTS —
keep in mind that the first two are for men only and if a woman would like to join, she'd have to masquerade as a man. in addition, everything will be further explained in comments.

AUTHOR'S NOTE.
consider this chapter the last semi-calm one before things start getting bad and i mean bad. anyways, this chapter is almost like the last one in the sense that you get to establish your characters and their connections more but this tourney serves mostly as a way to advance the king's council, the assassins, and the foreign royals. keep in mind this will be one of the last calm chapters and no, the other chapters won't be non-stop action, they'll just be more heavy with investigation and death. by chapter six, anyone can die and as much as i'd love to spare ocs that i'm already attached to, i can't do that. anyways, my admins and i will do some guiding to make sure we hit certain points that need to occur this chapter before we are able to move on.

additionally, don't worry if your reply isn't over a comment long. this roleplay is quality over quantity and as great as it is to see multi-comment replies, no one really cares how long your reply is as long as there's content to go off of. anyways, as for inactivity, you need to let me know when you're taking a break or hiatus so i don't just kill your character off (because we're at that stage now). so, i'd say try and get in a reply as often as you're able to but you still need to be active enough or else your character will be killed (with the exception of a hiatus if you let me know). lastly, i'm super sorry to everyone i had chains with last chapter because i was really bad about getting to them and some i didn't even reply to or start. i've recently realized that 15 chains is a bad idea and so i'll be more selective with my chains and i recommend no more than 7 chains per person for the sake of your own sanity. finally, i have one last reminder and that's simply that chapter two remains open for several more days before officially closing, and please be active in this chapter because next chapter is going to hurt those who are inactive more than anyone else.
