❚ THE EXECUTIONER'S SQUARE, ELYRIA.
in the late morning of an early spring day, the bells chime. another day, another death, as standard in modern elyria. at this point, no one's truly surprised when a queen is put to death—even the queens themselves should anticipate it. and honestly, you'd be surprised how many elyrians attend executions. to many, executions are a form of entertainment when the day seems to drag and fade miserably into the next. there's nothing like death to bring life to the day, right?

❚  THE SEDEI OF IVAIRIS, ELYRIA.
at noon, after a proper execution, the royal wedding is to be held. though the timing may be unseemly, it could be worse. queen erina married king stefan at the exact hour her predecessor died and plenty of widows and widowers marry the same day their spouses are found dead. however, that isn't the point. the point is to crown a new queen and for nobles to predict how long she'll last. my personal bet is a few months but, you know, some people might have more or less faith in her abilities. at this point, some people are waiting for the king to just marry his mistress—at least she's got a clue what she's doing. the role of stefan's wife isn't fit for some naive, pretty woman, but then again, no matter how intelligent a queen, they always die in the end. however, all this new girl's got to do is outlive the king but that's obviously harder said than done. yet, there's something else about this wedding that's different from the past ones and it's because, for the first time, the foreign royals are inside the elyrian capitol. of course, no one but their governing family can know who they are yet. for now, they're nobodies with bastard names and by the eve of the next day, most of them will have nearing expiration dates. but again, they don't know this yet and neither does anyone else.

❚  NORTHEASTERN LAND, ELYRIA.
for the absentee khalidans, their only priority is to reach ivairis by tomorrow afternoon and nothing more. they've got substantially less worries than everyone else and that's simply because they're the least likely to get executed right off the bat. however, they're currently stopped in the woodlands of the northeastern land of elyria. they've got some time to discuss their plots before everything becomes all secret and quiet in the elyrian kingdom.

AUTHOR'S NOTE.
my creativity when writing this chapter was non-existent. i already had everything for this outlined but then writing it was . . . not good. anyways, we'll be starting with the execution for most ocs. however, the seventh queen and her ladies will be in a separate chain preparing for the wedding but they will pass through during the execution so there'll be enough time for them to watch. but regarding the execution, the sixth queen is not yet there considering they're in the preparation stage of the execution at the start.

as for the wedding, that will come a little while after the execution and once the execution stage is over, we'll create a separate chain for the wedding stage. remember, ocs shouldn't interrupt the ceremony but the ceremony will be a very brief process and after the ceremony, there will be some idle celebratory time before everything is over. then, the next chapter will heavily deal with the foreign royals and their plotline but that'll be for another day.

lastly, remember to submit two replies per day and if you can't meet that for some days, just let us know. as long as we're communicating then everything will be fine. also, you may see some replies come in from our mains: helldarlings and thornIess for the shared admin characters, but for individual chains, only one of us will roleplay just so no one gets confused. it'll be more likely that you'll be roleplaying with jenna than eris but we'll let you know which you're roleplaying with in case you need to tag one of us. however, we will be chatting so we know what's been going on.
