several days ago, the elyrian people and the foreign royals attended a tourney in the lavish city of megaris. in the jousting tournament, princess daena masqueraded as a man and won the joust, crowning khalidan guard caine as queen of love and beauty. if this wasn't enough of a mess then seven people turning up brutally murdered definitely made up for the rest. among the victims were odetta marsei and the last trueborn members of house agnaris. an investigation has been opened but let this be your final warning: the king might just be losing it and we all know torture is sometimes used as a way to extract confessions.

❚  IVAIRIS, ELYRIA.
silly boy, did you really think you could defy a god? and so it seems lady death has been angered and now she's decided to take her wrath out upon the inhabitants of the elyrian empire. perhaps now might be a good time to pray for mercy. or not. we'll see if that has consequences later.

however, as a lethal plague sweeps through the kingdom, thousands die in just several days. now, as it arrives at the palace gates, there's nothing you can do to stop it. once you get it, there's no going back and you'll just have to wait it out and see if you wake up in the morning.

keep in mind not everyone will get every symptom and those who survive won't exhibit the more lethal symptoms. in addition, symptoms don't necessarily leave once symptoms from later stages start appearing though some may fade as new ones start getting expressed.

AUTHOR'S NOTE.
i told you this chapter would be bad, didn't i? well, it is. first and foremost, i will pm active admins if their character is going to die. if an active character gets it and i don't pm you, it means they'll survive. now, how this chapter works will be explained mostly in comments so you must read that. essentially, i will be setting up quarantine groups between sick ocs and between non-sick ocs. you must submit two replies per week or i will find a way to kill off one of your ocs (or your singular one). i'll give you a warning but after several failures without giving me a reason for your inactivity, i'll just have to get rid of one oc of yours. anyways, pre-symptom chains are also allowed and if you want one with someone intended to get sick, i will have to roll to see if your oc will get it from them (since it's pre-symptom but not pre-plague). anyways, not everyone who gets sick is dying. most of the dying ocs are inactive and will only be mentioned. as for death when it comes to more active ocs, it doesn't need to be graphically written out but it can be. blood and gore was promised, after all. anyways, not every oc who contracts the plague will experience all symptoms. also, since i want this chapter to be short, don't worry about matching and posting multi-comments too much. i just want this to be swift so that we can move on to the major plot points that pick up after this chapter. finally, tag people who haven't replied in a few days and if someone doesn't reply in a group for a few days, just move on without them and i can always just find a way to yeet the oc lmao. at this point, i do not care who your oc is. be active or i'll just get rid of you. also, remember drama. make your ocs interesting and dynamic. don't play it too safe. anyways, if you read this, comment redrum.
