chapter six;

━━━━━━ "IS THIS WHO YOU ALL PICKED?", kisa asked, looking at the people standing a bit behind her four fiancées.

"indeed", chisaki answered.

"toga himiko. I honestly thought you would've chosen kurogiri", kisa chuckled, finding the blonde girl quite cute.

"it was the plan, until she wouldn't fucking stop whining about me keeping her here", shigaraki growled, clearly wishing it were kurogiri instead.

"it's finally nice to meet you kisa-chan!! I hope we can become really good friends", toga exclaimed as she reached for the girl's hands, holding them while she blushed.

     kisa smiled as she patted the girl's head with one hand.

     "I wish kimiko was adorable like you. perhaps then I'd like her more".

     "then we can be sisters instead!!", toga grinned, to which kisa had pinched her cheek in amusement.

     "and this one's twice?", kisa asked, glancing at the male with a full on black and grey bodysuit, standing next to dabi.

     "pleasure to meet you princess. god, I wish I could go home", the man sighed, immediately covering his mouth in shame.

     "no need to be ashamed twice. I understand that it's your quirk", kisa nodded, moving on to chisaki and his chosen friend, or rather subordinate.

"chronostasis, kurono hari".

     "pleasure serving under you, princess kisa", the grey-haired male bowed.

     "cut the formalities. kisa's just fine", the girl waved as she hastily moved onto the last one.

     "and bearhead, a great companion of inasa's! thank goodness, I was beginning to think inasa didn't have friends", kisa joked, to which the pale male had given the princess a glare.

"anyways—"

"NEE-CHANNN!!! ARE YOU READY FOR KIMI'S TEA PARTY??!", the excited little boy shouted, ignoring everyone's stares.

     "ah yes...I forgot to tell you lot. kimiko's holding a mini tea party for no reason at all. she also invited you all. though whether you want to come is your own decision", kisa briefly explained.

"awww I wanna go!!! let's go tomuraaa!!", toga exclaimed, tugging on the male's arm and making shigaraki harshly shrug it off.

"fine", the male grunted, meanwhile dabi just shrugged, along with twice.

"chrono and I will attend", chisaki spoke up.

"bearhead and I will also attend", inasa politely said.

"great, make sure you take good care of kaoru while you're all there", kisa yawned as she plopped onto her bed, her most beloved.

     "wha—"

     "aww come onnnnn nee-channnn!! you promised me that you'd come to this one", kaoru whined, pulling on kisa's hand and nearly decapitating it from her arm.

     kisa sighed, laying on the side of her face as she looked at her beloved little brother.

     "do you really want me to go?"

     "mhm", kaoru hummed, pleading with his puppy eyes.

     kisa begrudgingly sat up, her fox ears dipping a bit before perking back up.

     "go wait outside", kisa commanded. "except kai. you stay".

     everyone did as told as kurono hesitantly left, slightly worried for chisaki. kaoru happily skipped outside as he got to learn more about his sister's fiancées.

"what do you need?", chisaki bluntly asked.

"come pick out a kimono for me", kisa demanded as she opened up her closet for chisaki to examine.

"this one's fine", the male stoically pointed, picking a random one so that he could leave as soon as possible.

"I agree, it's pretty...yet bland at the same time. I like it", kisa smiled, snatching the neatly hung baby blue kimono with silver lining off the rack.

chisaki hastily exited, only to be stopped by kisa.

"don't leave yet. you're doing my hair after I change", the girl commanded as she shut the door, hastily shedding off her simply white kimono.

as the baby blue silk touched her skin, a cool feeling ran over her body. kisa tightly tied a black ribbon across her stomach, letting the top of her shoulders rise like the mountain peaks.

the dark-haired girl then exited, sitting on the stool in front of her makeup desk as she handed chisaki the brush.

"I want a low bun with my baby hair in front", kisa said, to which chisaki replied by silently bunching the girl's hair up into the desired look.

"which pin should I use?", kisa asked, pulling open a drawer with various colored and sized shaped hairpins.

chisaki simply took one that had a tiny blue flower on the end, with a singular silver bead hanging from it. the gloved man took the hairpin and stuck it on the right side of the girl's low bun.

kisa smiled as she stood up. "thank you kai".

     "hm".

     "may I?", kisa asked, extending out her hand, to which chisaki had just squinted his eyes.

     "I'd rather not", chisaki replied, to which kisa just chuckled and nodded.

     "that's quite alright", the girl sighed as she exited the room, which chisaki following.

     "took you long enough", kaoru smiled, extending his arms upward.

     "you're already six kaoru, why do you insist on being carried", kisa laughed as she picked the boy up anyways, heading out towards the garden.

     "because I like hugging you nee-san", kaoru mumbled.

     "welcome!!", kimiko smiled, to which the girl sat at the top seat since she was the host of the party.

     kasumi sat on the right side with her fiancées and their friends meanwhile kisa sat on the left with hers.

     "I see both sisters have brought their lovers and friends. how exciting!!", kimiko chirped, clapping her hands together.

kisa just yawned as kaoru tugged on his sister's sleeve.

"what? do you want some strawberries too?? here", kisa smiled as she stuffed one in kaoru's mouth.

"kisa nee-chan, have you heard that recently father's holding the annual hunting competition earlier?", kimiko asked, to which kisa simply glanced up in disinterest.

kasumi, the eldest, sighed.

"what did you expect kimiko? kisa seems to never know what's going on around her", kasumi chimed in, taking a sip of her tea as midoriya carefully fanned the woman.

"and who's fault is that?"

"kaoru", kisa sharply muttered, shaking her head as the villains and heroes all perked up in curiosity.

"what do you ever mean dear brother? is it our fault that kisa nee-chan's born from a human mother?", kimiko mocked in an innocent tone.

     all villains and heroes stared at kisa, who had remained silent throughout.

     "that's not—"

     "kaoru, it's fine", kisa whispered. 

     "it's a true pity...with all of your talent and wit, you could've became a great nine-tailed fox", kasumi sighed, to which kaoru would've spoken again if it weren't for kisa stopping him.

     kimiko then looked up, noticing everyone's baffled expressions.

     "oh my!! my sincerest apologies kisa nee-chan! is it possible that...you haven't even told your own fiancées yet?", the girl chuckled, to which kasumi had only let out a laugh.

     kisa clenched her fists so tight that it had started bleeding, though the girl wasn't even aware.

     "well in that case, why don't we educate them?", kimiko suggested, to which kasumi had nodded.

     "no need", dabi spoke up, making everyone shocked.

     "w-what—aren't you curious as to what else your own fiancé's hiding?", kimiko stuttered.

     "whatever our fiancé is, is none of our business", chisaki chimed in.

     "and neither is it yours", inasa glared.

     "we'll take our leave now. it seems that you two didn't have the intention of having a nice tea party anyways", shigaraki said as he hastily stood up, with kaoru trying to pull kisa up.

     the girl was just as surprised as her other two sisters.

     "come on now love. we've got better things to do, like planning how to win the hunting competition", dabi grinned, pulling the girl up by her waist.

"w-wait, I—"

"oh, and no need to invite us to future parties. we only go where kisa's welcomed", inasa reminded, standing up as he followed the rest out.

as the four men and their friends followed kisa and kaoru out, the girl suddenly stopped.

"you're all dismissed today", the girl softly mumbled as she hastily left, not even sparing them a glance or saying thanks.

"tch. unappreciative", shigaraki grumbled, to which kaoru immediately spun around.

"please don't get nee-chan wrong. she's actually very thankful, but she just doesn't know how to express it. it's been a while since someone has stood up for her, so as her brother, I thank you all", kaoru bowed.

"wait...I have a question though. why is being born with a human mother so bad?", dabi asked.

"it's not, at least not to me. but all of us have a yōkai mother, so in a way, she's like an illegitimate child. or at least that's what my other sisters call her", kaoru answered.

"is that why she's the only one with visible fox ears?", inasa asked.

kaoru nodded. "kisa nee-chan has seven tails, but her fur will never turn white because she can only have seven, and therefore will never be a full nine-tailed fox".

"and your father..."

"I cannot say anymore. that's for you four to find out on your own. so please, make my sister happy", kaoru smiled as he waved goodbye, running off after kisa.

the four men stood there soaking in all the new information. this had only confirmed their relationship as a whole.

it was a game of exploitation.
