chapter forty-four;

━━━━━━ "SHIGARAKI TOMURA, ARE YOU READY for the procedures? it's more gruesome than perhaps anything you've ever experienced", dr. ujiko warned.

     "I'm ready", shigaraki grumbled, not having to understand why kisa had asked for them to move the entire lab to hokkaido last minute.

     it was a true drag having to move all the high-end nomus and the numerous amounts of equipment across the sea, but thankfully they had little johnny as a portal.

     "then let's not delay this any further", dr. ujiko stated as he madly typed something into his computer as the tentacle-like tubings had stabbed through shigaraki's body multiple times.

it was going to take a while to enhance the blue-haired male's body, as he was still too physically weak to inherit all for one.

as blood spluttered across the floor, the walls, and all over the medical instruments, shigaraki grinned as he was ecstatic about his soon-to-be brand new quirk.

'the next time we see each other, I'll be exceptionally more powerful!'

kisa had requested for kaoru and eri to go on a small mission into the human world. though she trusted them, she did not trust the humans, hence she had secretly sent inasa to go supervise them, much to the male's displeasure.

     meanwhile kaoru held eri's hand, he also held an envelope that was critical, according to kisa at least.

     it needed to be delivered to a certain hospital and a certain todoroki.

     and after the mission, the two were allowed to go around and have some fun with the allowance that kisa had gave of course.

     meanwhile the two kids were gone, kisa had prepared to start and end a war within the day. she had waited too long for this moment that her patience had worn thin.

     though kaoru knew of this, he chose to turn a blind eye to it.

     the little boy realized that all these years, kisa had been plotting and planning. and for certain things, the boy wondered how the girl knew such events were to happen, but he never questioned it, as he knew all the things kisa is doing is for his best.

"kisa, you sure you want to do this?", dabi asked as he watched the girl shed off her kimono and dress in the same black suit she wore when she had defeated re-destro and his army.

"mhm. I've been planning this since forever. plus, the tengus, yuki onnas, onis, and even the kappas have joined in on my plan. we cannot back out now", kisa stated as she clipped her hair back.

     "is murder always on your mind? you look so innocent on the outside", dabi smirked, pulling kisa into an embrace as he heard the girl chuckle.

"now who plans a murder out loud?"

"touché".

"speaking of which, how did it go with your brother?", kisa inquired, to which dabi had scowled.

"don't call him that", dabi said, clicking his tongue in distaste.

     "it's true though. he is your brother".

     "not by choice", dabi bitterly muttered.

kisa caressed dabi's cheek, to which it had somewhat pained her to see his skin in such broken state, just like himself internally.

her thumb carefully ran across the row of stables, letting a breath of air escape her rosy lips as she slipped from dabi's warm arms, to which he sighed as it was time to take action.

"come on now. I'm thrilled to see the look on my father's face when I step on his dead body", kisa grinned, to which dabi just snorted as he wrapped his arm around the girl's waist, walking out their shared bedroom.

     it obviously didn't take long for the kitsunes to take notice of the enlarged army standing outside the palace gates as the elders had reported it to the fox king immediately.

     "your majesty! it seems that there's a riot outside, an army of many yōkai who had suddenly risen without any rhyme or reasoning", one of the elders informed, to which isao had clenched his fists as he stood up from his throne, exiting the great halls.

standing on one of the balconies that faced the rest of the yōkai, many elders had followed as they all gathered around, whispering as they had witnessed the second princess standing amongst them all.

     "so you've finally revealed your true colors", isao scowled, to which kisa had only revealed a pleasing smile.

     "it's about time that have someone new inherit the throne, father".

     "kaoru is the rightful heir to the throne; it will be passed down to him when he's of age", isao stated. "but you...you're neither a man nor a full nine-tailed fox. you have no right to inherit a throne that's meant for your brother!"

kisa's smile had dropped instantly, frowning at her father's harsh words.

"why don't you ask what kaoru wants?! EVER SINCE YOUNG, YOU'VE BEEN FORCING HIM TO DO THIS AND DO THAT!"

     "AND HE'S YET TO PROVE THAT HE'S A CAPABLE KING YET!"

     "HE'S ONLY SIX! HE SHOULD BE PLAYING WITH OTHER KIDS AND HAVING FUN, NOT TRAINING AND NOT GETTING STARVED FOR NOT SCORING PERFECTLY ON A TEST!"

     "YOU'RE ONLY A MERE CHILD! WHAT DO YOU KNOW?!"

     "oh I know more than you can imagine. you know why mother ran off?! it's because of your incompetency to protect her. you let some other skank run all over her!", kisa spat, to which isao was beyond enraged now.

     without another moment, isao had transformed into a colossal of a fox, with his white fur shining in all his glory meanwhile his nine tails waved, almost as if they were mocking kisa.

     dabi was least to say baffled at the sudden change. glancing over at kisa, who wasn't fazed at all, the girl turned to dabi meanwhile squeezing his hand.

     "scared? if it makes you feel any better, only the royal nine-tails are capable of such transformation", kisa stated, meaning that no one else was able to transform into a gigantic fox.

     "and you can wait for me—"

     "no. I'm staying", dabi immediately shot down, even though it was his first time witnessing such a sight.

     "stay safe then", kisa breathed out as her hand slipped out of dabi's, immediately charging towards her father as everyone else behind her had followed, fighting the guards of the palace.

     the elders could only watch from the balcony as they were old and frail, with no more strength to help.

     "YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A PUNY LITTLE FOX! YOU THINK YOU CAN OUTFIGHT ME?!", isao growled as his tails had nearly wiped away half of the yōkai that were battling on the field.

     kisa had quickly dodged the incoming attack from isao's huge paws as the pool of drool from his canines had dropped onto the ground, enough to cure draught.

"shit", kisa cursed, hastily summoning her new weapon as she opened her palms upwards, which the fan that the inari ōkami gave had instantly appeared.

     "what's that little fan going to do? blow me away?", isao lowly chuckled, to which kisa just huffed.

     "you'd be surprised", kisa stated as with one elegant fan, a minority of the guards from the palace was swept up into the air and thrown across the land.

isao scowled as his claws tried to smack the girl and squash her.

'it's like tag all over again', kisa mentally chuckled.

"COME AND CATCH ME~"
