chapter twenty-five;

━━━━━━ "INASA MY LOVE, DID YOU MISS ME?", kisa smiled as the black-haired male had just arrived back at his two story house with kisa and her boxes of clothes.

"sure", the male replied as kisa just shook her head playfully, already used to the cold attitude that him and chisaki shared.

"I must say, your house is quite peculiar", kisa stated, amazed at the many glass panes that was used to build the majority of the house.

she wondered that if it was durable enough if someone were to throw a hard ball at it.

"is it not to your liking?", inasa asked, helping kisa carry the many boxes up into the guest room.

"not at all. I like the pure white theme you have going on here. it's very elegant", kisa smiled, walking upstairs with inasa as she unpacked the majority of her clothes.

some of them she had left at chisaki's base, as if she were to ever go back on a whim, there'd already be clothes waiting for her to strut in.

"I see...anyways, I have work everyday. I only stay for the mornings, then I'm back by lunch. if you need anything, just text or call me", inasa said as he was getting ready to leave.

"where do you work?", kisa asked as she hung her dresses, sorting them by color.

inasa halted. "I'm the director of the ushimitsudoki aquarium".

"an aquarium? what's there?", kisa asked, having to have finished hanging and folding all her clothes due to her inhuman speed.

"it's where people come and enjoy watching sea animals swim around", inasa briefly explained.

"then can I come?!", kisa perked up, excited that she'd be able to see the many exotic animals of the human world, or at least animals that are part of the sea.

     "it'd be best if you did—"

     "inasa~", kisa slightly cooed, snaking her arms around the male's waist as she looked up at the bored male, who just sighed as he unconsciously patted the girl's head.

     "fine. but stay close so you don't fuck anything up", inasa sneered, to which kisa just chuckled.

"my, you're way more feisty than I thought. you're so quiet around the other three, it makes me wonder if you're finally opening up to me", the girl humored herself.

"can you get off? I need to order us food", inasa scowled.

"as far as I know, calling someone doesn't need me to stop clinging onto you", kisa retorted, to which inasa clicked his tongue in annoyance, internally cursing chisaki for buying the girl a phone.

inasa immediately took his phone out from his pocket, while his other arm hugged the girl back.

kisa smiled as she suddenly slipped out of inasa's grasp while he was talking on the phone. the male momentarily stopped as he gave the girl an irritated glance.

"that it", inasa said as he hung up without saying goodbye, a habit that kisa noticed that was much similar to chisaki's.

"where's your room inasa? I thought we were sleeping together", kisa pouted, plopping onto her bed as she felt the emptiness of the guest bed.

"I'm sure that's not necessary", inasa coldly said as he got ready to leave the girl's temporary room.

"though if you do truly need anything, my room's right next door", the male said as he swiftly left, to which kisa had promptly sat up and went to go shower.

     unfortunately, the two had spent the majority of the day moving kisa's necessities and driving all the way to the urban area, since chisaki had resided near the suburbans.

     as soon as kisa had taken her fair share of dinner and stepped out of the shower, the girl clicked her tongue as she watched long hair that took forever to dry sway around.

     whenever she was at home, kaoru would be responsible for it, and later on, chisaki. but now that she was with inasa, the girl either had to do it herself or go bother inasa.

     smiling, kisa dressed in some warm hello kitty pjs and slippers and made her way over to her wonderful husband.

     "come in", the male tiredly said as kisa entered without another moment, grinning at the sight she saw.

     "oh my inasa! you never told me you were this fit", kisa teased, to which the male just squinted his eyes as he tugged a black sweater over his head.

     "what the hell do you want?", the male sneered.

     "can you dry my hair for me please? there's too much of it", kisa sighed, walking towards inasa's bathroom already and taking out this great invention called a blowdryer.

     "don't you have hands of your own?"

     "and aren't you my husband?", kisa retorted, plugging the blowdryer in and handing it to inasa.

     the half whale boy sighed as he stood behind kisa, holding the blowdryer not too close to the girl's head so it wasn't too hot for her.

     kisa enjoyed the warm, slightly hot, wind blowing at her, praising humans for such a useful invention. in less than ten minutes, the girl's hair was fully dry.

     inasa brushed through it, making sure he didn't harshly pull on kisa's soft locks.

the girl smiled as she took out her phone, sliding to the camera as she swiftly leaned back and kissed inasa's left side—which for once wasn't covered by his diving helmet—taking a quick picture.

though the picture was a bit blurry, kisa didn't mind much, as the one she took with chisaki was quite the same.

"why'd you just—"

"as thanks", kisa interrupted, putting the blowdryer away as she turned off the lights to the bathroom.

pulling inasa towards his bed, kisa pushed him onto his mattress as she fell on top of him, nearly knocking the air of the black-haired male.

"in case you forgot, your room's right next door", inasa stated, tiredly looking up at the boring white ceiling meanwhile kisa just laughed.

"I know. I didn't forget", the girl replied as she sat up, straddling inasa.

"then what's the meaning of this?"

     "can't I just spend some time with my lovely husband? after all, it's been a week since you've seen me", kisa hummed, playing with inasa's face by tracing it with her pointer finger.

     "I would've been fine if you didn't spend a week with me at all", inasa coldly said.

     "ouch! so hurtful", kisa chuckled, caressing inasa's right cheek as she leaned in for a kiss.

     surprisingly, the male didn't push her away. instead, inasa had encased the girl with his arms, holding her there.

     "I suppose someone did miss me a little", kisa teased, to which the girl was immediately flipped over. though inasa had hastily got up off the bed.

     "where are you going?", kisa asked, sitting up on inasa's bed.

"relax. I'm just turning off the lights", the dark-haired male replied as it suddenly turned dark, to which kisa had heard footsteps inching closer before a loud bump was heard, followed by a curse.

"fuck! my toe", inasa seethed, falling onto his bed as kisa just loudly laughed, making inasa even more irked.

"shut up!"

"oh, don't be so rude love. here, I'll kiss it better", kisa giggled as she peppered kisses all over inasa's face.

"I hurt my toe, not my face, you dimwit".

"so harsh", kisa laughed. "I know, but it took your mind off it no?"

inasa stayed silent as kisa heard a shuffle, feeling a warm blanket falling upon her shoulder as inasa faced away from the girl.

nevertheless, kisa stuck close, cuddling inasa as she teased the male by blowing warm air against his neck, making inasa flinch and hastily turn around in anger.

"will you quit it?", inasa growled.

"sure, if you stay here with me like this", kisa mumbled, to which inasa just raised a brow in curiosity.

kisa silently sighed as she snuggled closer to the male's stiff embrace, clutching onto his dark sweater as she felt inasa slowly place his arm around her waist.

"you know...you should be more honest about your feelings", kisa whispered, kissing inasa's neck as she closed her eyes, falling asleep with a smile.

inasa only felt more pissed off, yet calm at the same time.

for some reason, although he hated being teased by the girl, he also partially enjoyed it. but only by her, only kisa.
