Harry and Hermione finally get through past the tree, and start to trudge down the tunnel, "I think we are in the shrieking shack. ." Hermione whispers, earning a nod from Harry.
The duo walk through the building that is covered in dirt and cobwebs. The walls owning hundreds of different scars. with the painting chipped off and the wallpaper pealing away.
They arrive to the top and find Ron moaning in pain at the back of the room, "RON!" Harry yells, gaining the injured boys attention.
"Ron are you okay?" Hermione asks worriedly.
"Harry—" he starts ignoring Hermione's question, turning to his best friend instead, his face covered with fright.
"The dog, where is it." Harry asked sharply, looking around as if it were going to appear out of no where.
"It's a trap— she's a dog. . she's an animagus!" He calls out, pointing from in front of the brunette duo, making them turn around.
They follow Ron's finger and where it's pointed to come face to face with Miralette Crouch, standing from behind the door.
They both stare at her in shock before Hermione stands infront of him, in a protecting manner, "if you want to kill Harry— you'll have to kill us too!"
Something in the woman's eyes blur, as if she remembered something. Miralette blinked and before she knew it the two teenagers disappeared and. The woman starting to see herself and James but as she blinked again, it showed Hermione and Harry again. She shook away the thoughts, stubbornly holding back the tears pooling in her eyes at the thought of her best friend and pulled out Ron's wand, calling out, "expelliarmus!" making their wands flying right into her hands.
"Please Harry— if you'll just listen. ." The woman mummers out, the hot tears bubbling in her eyes that are threatening to spill out are obvious but he doesn't take any notice of them.
"LISTEN ABOUT WHAT? YOU KILLED MY PARENTS—"
"No I—" Miralette paused, taking a deep breath before deciding to take a different approach. Due to not having spoken in a while the woman's was all scratchy and raspy, "I thought you would come and help your friend," she said, trying to keep her voice as clear as possible, "Your Father and Mother would have done the same for me. Brave of you, not to turn to a teacher. I'm grateful," The woman explained, her eyes flickering over to where Ron's rat is, her eyes darkened at the sight, "it will make this much easier. . you look just like your father Harry . . You know that?"
"Don't you dare talk about my parents!" He yells before lunging at the woman, dragging her frail body to the floor, taking Miralette by surprise. She quickly pull myself up and push him off, throwing him onto the floor making Hermione pulls Harry back over to her.
The woman looked down ashamed, I'm scaring them. . This was a bad idea, She thought as she mentally sighed.
Miralette looked over to see Ron trying to stand up and cover his body over Harry's for protection, "Ron, your going to injure yourself even more trying to hold him up," She said, the three teenagers stare at me in response, the trio watching her every move, "Either way there'll only be one murder here tonight."
"Why's that?" Harry spat, trying to free himself from Hermione's grip whilst the woman watched him wearily, "Didn't mind when you killed all those muggles on the street, did you? What's the matter? Gone soft in Azkaban?"
Before Miralette have a chance to respond, Hermione whispered, "Harry be quiet!"
"SHE KILLED MY PARENTS!" He roared pulling himself from Hermione's grip before lunging at Miralette again, dragging her down with him. All she felt was Harry punching her with every chance he got and for some time she just allowed him to do it — nothing she wasn't used to anyways. He wanted to let his anger out, she understood that.
As time went by, the woman easily pushed him off but the soft way she pushed him took the boy by surprise. Miralette snatched the wand closest to her and held it towards Harry, "This is for your own safety—"
Harry's confused face turned into a scowl as he interrupted her by kicking the woman in the chest, making Miralette fall into the wall, the house starting to wobble as she hit it with all her force.
Um, Ouch, The woman thought.
He looks down at her before saying, "You killed my parents," he says with no emotions in his eyes, Miralette avoided his green emerald eyes, the same eyes he shared with the girl Mira once knew, the one Crouch once loved. The same eyes that would compel her to do anything.
"I don't deny it— but if you just hear the full story. ." Miralette trembled out.
"You sold them out to Voldemort!" He screamed out, "I understand that perfectly clear!" He roars punching her down to the floor, the woman finally getting frustrated with the boy, her patience thinning.
She looked up to see him nearing me a wand in his hand, pointing menacingly at her. She looked from the wand to him before letting out a laugh, the dry laugh sounding more like a wheeze to the others in the room, "Are you going to kill me Harry?" She asked mockingly with a smirk, knowing if he was anything like his parents he wouldn't.
"EXPELLIARMUS!" Someone called out causing the group of four to turn their heads over to the door, Sirius Black and Remus Lupin are standing there holding their wands out, making the woman trapped under Harry's hold, purse her lips to hold back a large smile at the sight of her two best friends.
Remus nods at Harry to move over to where Hermione is and he does so whilst they both scan their eyes over her, Sirius on the other hand pays no notice and stares at the woman, ignoring the obvious changes due to being imprisoned for twelve years and he admired the same features she had since she were young.
She was still as beautiful as he remembered.
"Well, well, Miralette. Looking rather ragged, aren't we?" Remus calls outed with a sly smile making the woman roll her eyes, knowing what the man is doing after knowing him for so long.
"Really? My full name." She asked as she sat up slightly, "How many times do I need to tell you call, me Mira!" The woman moaned in annoyance, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Okay Mira. ." He trailed off making her crack a smile, "—lette." He says mockingly, sending the woman a teasing wink, Miralettes smile filled in response, a grumpy pout taking place.
"Finally, the flesh reflects the madness within." Sirius said whilst raising his eyebrows sending the woman on the floor a smirk causing her to replicate it as the two kept eye contact.
"Well you'd know all about the madness within, wouldn't you Paddy?" She retorted cheekily, "— both of you actually." She added, letting out a laugh making them Remus roll his eyes, his friend still haven't the same humour since she was young whilst Sirius let out a bark of laughter along with her, the two men helped her up as she jumped into their awaiting arms.
Sirius held the woman tighter, his arm sat safely around her waist, fitting neatly the same way it always does as his head was tucked into her shoulder. Remus hugged her in a sort of side hug but it's still comforting all the same.
"Where is he, my star?" Sirius asks her softly, moving a piece of her hair out my face, tucking it under the woman's ear after they fall out the hug.
The trio behind look at them betrayed, especially Harry who is starting to breathing heavily at what he is watching.
She smiled at the gesture that she missed so deerly, turning around before pointing at Ron making him look at her confused.
"Then— you were right Sirius. . So— why wouldn't he have shown himself until now? Unless . ." Remus realises, making her look down ashamed as Sirius places a gentle kiss on her forehead, warming her up as it always used to do.
"—you switched . . Without telling me—" he finishes making her nod in sorrow before looking up with a large grin on her face, smiling as if she were a five year old child in a toy store.
"Cmon let's kill him!" Miralette exclaimed making the golden trio gasp, the woman closed her eyes shut whilst looking down as she realised how bad that sounded.
"Sirius. . Remus— what are you doing with her?" Harry mutters out making them look over at him in shock as the boy starts to welled up but refused to let them fall.
Sirius and Remus turned to the young boy, their eyes softening at the sight of his crestfallen face. They look at their bestfriend then back at the boy before Sirius says, "Harry we—"
"I DONT BELIEVE IT!" Hermione blurted out, catching everyone's attention.
Remus turned to the girl who's looking between the three of us as Sirius' hand drops off the woman's waist. The thirteen year old girl had her hand in the air, pointing at Black and Lupin with wide eyes, "you— both of you. ."
"Hermione—" Sirius tries to speak but she carries on shouting.
"—you two and her!" She continued with shock.
"Hermione, calm down—" Remus said, pausing his movement when she turned over to look at him.
"I didn't tell anyone!" Hermione shrieked making Miralette eyes widen at her words — having an idea about what she is about to say, "I've been covering for you!"
"Hermione, listen to me please!" Remus called but the girl didn't listen to him.
"We can explain—" Sirius adds on, pausing at the sight of the obvious anger across his godsons face.
Harry could feel himself shaking, not with fear, but with a fresh wave of fury.
His godfather had lied to him. He sided with the murderer of his parents. He knew it was strange how calm he was about it that night by the fire. This is why. He's a liar. They both are.
"I trusted you!" Harry shouted out looking at Sirius and Remus making them noticeably shrink, "I trusted both of you— and all this time . . you had been her friend?!"
"You're wrong," Lupin told the boy with a calm voice despite the fact he was panicking inside, "I haven't been Miralette's friend, but I am now."
"Me neither— but just let us explain so you can know the truth! Please Harry!" Sirius adds.
"NO!" Hermione screamed, "Harry, don't trust him. Don't trust any of them. Lupin has been helping Crouch into the castle, he wants you dead too — he's a werewolf!"
The silence was deafening.
Then, breaking the silence was a laugh. More of a dry chuckle but it was full of forced amusement as it echoed throughout the room.
"Not at all up to your usual standard, Hermione," Lupin said calmly, turning back to the bushy-haired girl, "Only one out of the three, I'm afraid. I haven't been helping Crouch into the castle—neither has Pa-Sirius. We certainly do not want Harry dead. . ." An odd shiver passed over his face, "but I won't deny I am a werewolf."
Ron made a valiant effort to get up again but fell back with a whimper of pain. Lupin walked towards him, looking concerned, but Ron gasped, "Get away from me werewolf."
Miralette and Sirius gave the boy a glance full of anger as they both took a step forward, knowing how Remus feels about his lycanthropy, but Remus held his hand out, not needing them to defend him anymore.
Lupin stopped dead. Then, with obvious effort, he turned to Hermione and asked, "How long have you known?"
"Ages. ." Hermione whispered, "since I did Professor Snape's essay. . I checked the lunar chart and realised you were always ill at the end of the month, of course. . and your boggart was the moon."
"Brilliant," Lupin muttered in disbelief, "you really are the cleverest witch I've ever met, Hermione."
"I'd be a bit more cleverer, I'd have told everyone what you are!" Hermione yelled out.
"But they already know," Lupin says, "at least, the staff do. Dumbledore worked hard to convince certain teachers I was trustworthy—"
"AND HE WAS WRONG!" Harry yelled, "YOU HAVE BOTH BEEN HELPING HER THIS WHOLE TIME!"
Harry pointed his wand at the woman, taking her by surprise at the tip of the wand that is pointed threateningly towards her, the woman staring in shock at the action before she turned away.
"We haven't been helping Crouch." Remus said firmly.
"If you'd just hear us out, give us a chance— I'll explain!" Sirius adds, looking straight at his godson.
The three of them share a look of uncertainty before hesitantly nodding.
"Me and Sirius were talking— then I saw Crouch on the marauders map." Remus started.
"You know how to work it?" Harry interrupted, not realising how stupid his question was until his uncle responded.
"Of course I do, I helped write it. Im Moony, remember? — and Sirius is Padfoot," Lupin waves him off, "The important thing is, I was watching it carefully this evening, because I knew the three of you might try and sneak out the castle to visit Hagrid before his hippogriff was executed, and I was right, wasn't I?"
Harry nods slowly.
"You might've been wearing your father's old cloak, Harry, but I could still see through the map," he continued, "The amount of times I saw James disappearing under it. . I watched you cross the grounds and enter Hagrid's hut. Twenty minutes later, you left Hagrid's and set off towards the castle. This time you were accompanied with somebody else."
"No we weren't?!" Harry denies almost immediately whilst his two best friends nod along in agreement with the boy.
"I couldn't believe my eyes," Lupin continued, pacing around the room, "Sirius was right the whole time— I thought the map was malfunctioning. . How could he be with you?"
"But we were alone," Harry states, "no one was with us."
"I watched another dot move towards you, named Miralette Crouch . I saw her collide with you; I watched as she pulled you two into the whomping willow—"
"One of us!" Ron interrupted angrily.
"No Ron," Sirius called out, his patience falling as his temper raised, "Two of you. Can we have a look at your rat?"
"What? What does Scabbers have got to do with any of this?"
"Ron, please just pass us the Rat." Sirius begged making him sigh, staring at the sight of the two men he had grown to trust and see as his honorary uncles.
Ron hesitated before taking the animal out his pocket. He was holding Scabbers in his left hand, watching as the rat was trying harder than ever to escape. Lupin and Black stare at the rat noticing it really is Peters animagus — how did they not notice sooner?
Miralette on the other hand was staring hatefully towards her old friend animagus, her hatred towards him was clear in her eyes as she glared at the rat that was being held in the thirteen year olds hand.
"That's not a rat." Miralette said suddenly, all eyes stare at her, some with confusion and some with pity and agreement — one with anger.
"What— what do you mean? Of course he is a rat!" Ron said, baffled about the insinuation about his Scabbers not being a rat — it's not like it was actually a thirty three year old man that was hiding as his rat for the past twelve years after betraying his best friends and the actions he made ended with their deaths and ruined Ron's best friends life whilst the man who betrayed them all placed the blame on the girl he swore he loved like a sister?
Don't be silly. .
"No he is not. He's an animagus, who goes by the name Peter Pettigrew." She replied, staring at the rat with a murderous expression on her face making the animal let out a loud screech that no one paid notice to. No one except Sirius and Miralette who smirked at the sight of their old friends fright.
"You're all mental." Ron says incredulously.
"Ridiculous!" Hermione adds.
"Pettigrew is dead," Harry stated as he pointed his wand over at the woman, "—Crouch killed him twelve years ago."
"I meant to," She growled, her voice full of anger as she recalled the memory, "but little Petey got the better of me."
"I don't believe you." Ron says, his words absolutely truthful.
"Just wait—"
"Enough talk, Remus, Sirius. Let's kill him! Come on, Old friends!" Miralette called out, walking away from the group and walking near the end of the room.
"Wait—" Sirius tries to say but she spoke over him making the man quiet.
"I DID MY WAITING! TWELVE YEARS OF IT! IN AZKABAN!" She shouted out making Remus and Sirius look at her sympathetically as they winced at her words. The duo not wanting to remember what their best friend had to go through whilst they had blamed her for everything — Remus more than Sirius.
They both share a look before Sirius speaks, "very well— kill him." He says as he gives the girl his wand before adding, "but wait one more minute— Harry has a right to know why."
"They all do actually," Remus adds on, "Ron's kept him as a pet— there are parts of it even I don't understand! You owe Harry the truth, Miralette!"
"Well, hurry up within it then please Remmy," She sassed, her temper rising as she kept her eyes on Peter, "Tell them whatever you'd like but make it quick you two— I would like to commit the murder I was imprisoned for."
Sirius and Remus roll their eyes at their best friends dramatics as Ron says, "Your nutters, all three of you. I've had enough of this— I'm off!"
He tried to leave but Sirius pointed his wand at the rat threateningly.
"You're going to hear us out, Ron. Just hold onto the vermin whilst you listen." He says with anger fooling his voice.
"We can show you that he is an animagus—"
"Come out, come out and play Peter!" Miralette mockingly yelled out as if she didn't know where he was, throwing her arms in the air.
"HE'S NOT PETER! HE'S SCABBERS!" Ron yelled, trying to force the rat back into his front pocket but Scabbers was fighting too hard; Ron swayed and overbalanced but Harry had caught him before the boy fell, pushing Ron back on the bed. Then, ignoring Crouch, he looked straight at his godfather and uncle.
"There were witnesses who saw Pettigrew die," Harry said, ignoring the betrayal he feels towards the two men for them being on her side instead of his, "A whole street full of them . ."
"They didn't see what they thought they saw!" Miralette snaps savagely, the girls temper getting the best of her as she kept her eyes glued onto the rat in Ron's had who was struggling to get out of the grip.
"Well that's convenient." Harry retorted with the same tone, the sarcasm lacing his voice as he rolled his eyes making the girl look away from animagus and towards her godson for a split second, the two making eye contact before they both turn away at the same time.
"Everyone thought Mira had killed Peter," Remus said with a nod, "I believed it myself— Sirius never did and that's why we had been fighting a lot these past months," He says towards Harry who slowly nods as Crouch looked down, hurt bubbling to her chest as her 'best friend' truly did think she betrayed James and Lily.
James was her best friend. Her brother. He stepped up to be the better one when Miralette and Barty fell out. The girl had always seen the boy as a brother more than a cousin, but that bond between them shattered after the boy had gotten into Slytherin. James played the role way better than anyone ever could. He loved Miralette more than anyone else ever would be able to and she felt the exact same way for him — her brother.
And they thought Miralette Crouch sold James out.
The same with Lily. She would never. Yes, they didn't get along at first but that didn't matter. She loved the ginger girl with her heart and soul, it used to be romantic love — maybe sometimes it still was — but all she knew is that she loved Lily Evans. They were enemies, friends, study buddies, lovers, best friends and everything in between. Lily Evans was her first love. She would never do anything to hurt the woman — her best friend.
Oh and Harry. . Sweet innocent, little Harry. Miralette and Harry got on the most, she was his favourite out of all his aunts and uncles which annoyed them all greatly but they couldn't help but smile at the immediate connection between the two. She was the first to have held him — besides James and Lily. Whenever Sirius and Miralette would go round to the Potters, Harry would be searching for Miralette. It was like Sirius never existed. Only Miralette. Only his Auntie Mimi.
And they all thought she sold them out.
That hurt.
"— Until we saw the map tonight. Because the marauders map never lies . . Peters alive. Ron's holding him, Harry." Remus finished, Harry stared between the two, he couldn't even see his uncle or godfathers anymore, just two more traitors.
"Please Harry you have to understand— just please allow us to show it to you, and if you still don't believe us then you can do as you please." Sirius adds on desperately, he didn't want his godson to do something he would regret without thinking it through first — stupid potter genes.
Harry didn't know what to say. He thought they were crazy, it didn't make sense. He was hurt that his godfather was on the opposite side— as well as his uncle — and seeing the woman who was known for ruining his life of happiness fuelled anger deep inside of him. Despite all that, their pleading faces confused him. He wanted to hear them out, but he couldn't.
Before the boy could say anything Hermione spoke in a trembling, would-be calm sort of voice, as though she was trying to talk to the two adults sensibly, "But Sirius, Professor Lupin. . Scabbers can't be Pettigrew. . It just couldn't be true, you know it can't . ."
The two men shared a look before Remus took charge and asked, "Why can't it be true?" He said calmly, as if they were in class and Hermione had spotted a problem in an experiment with Grindylows.
"Because— because people would have known if Peter Pettigrew was an animagus. We did an animagus class not too long ago with Snape and with Professor McGonagall. I looked them up when I did my homework and the Ministry of Magic keeps tabs on witches and wizards who can become animals. There's a register showing what animals they had become, and their markings and things . . and I went and looked Professor McGonagall up on the register, there has only been seven Animagi in this century, and Pettigrews name wasn't even on the list —"
Sirius and Remus nodded, the Professor fully paying attention to her words whilst Sirius zoned out half way through. Miralette on the other hand, grinned slightly as she kept her sight outside the window towards the silhouette of the castle, her lips curling into a grin at the mention of her favourite Professor who she remembered as Minnie.
Miralette couldn't remember much due to being in Azkaban for so long, she couldn't even remember her own last name at first. The cells of Azkaban ruined her. All her happiness was gone and the loss of it ruined her. She felt nothing but pain and anguish for the last twelve years. She couldn't remember anything expect for she was in Azkaban due to being framed for the murder of her best friends. She also remembered their names, memories of her in Azkaban screaming for James or Sirius or Remus — anyone truly. That's all she could remember for twelve years and it got worse and worse. After escaping, she started to remember some names. For example; Prongs, Paddy, Moons, Wormy. And baby prongslet — Harry, her godson.
She remembered that.
Miralette remembered little things, but she had seemed to be stuck at the mentality of the age she was when she had gotten into Azkaban. She had aged, she could see from the sight of herself she wasn't the same teenager she was once back at Hogwarts but she didn't feel like she aged. She felt like she was the same age as when she had met first Harry, being at the Potters wedding, when her best friends were alive. Not whatever age she is now.
"Right again Hermione!" Remus praised, "but the Ministry never knew that there used to be four unregistered Animagi running around Hogwarts."
Sirius and Miralette groaned, the man on the same side as his best friend, wanting to get rid of the traitor, "If your going to tell them the story get a move on—" Sirius spoke, his voice clear of fury making Harry stare at him shocked, never had seen Sirius this angry before.
"— I've waited twelve years in Azkaban, I'm not going to wait much longer." Miralette added, seemingly snarling as if she were a dog, staring right at the rat who had ruined her life.
"Alright, Sirius come on you need to calm down mate, and you both need to help me with this," said Lupin as he stared at his two angry friends. And he's supposed to be the werewolf, he thought sarcastically, "I only know how it began. ."
Lupin broke off. There had been a loud creek behind him. The bedroom door has opened off to its own accord. All six of them stared at it before Remus and Sirius strode towards it and looked into the landing.
"No ones there . ."
"This place is haunted!" Ron shrieked.
"It's not," said Sirius, still staring at the door in a puzzled way as if he could sense something, "The shrieking shack was never haunted."
"— The screams and howls the villagers used to hear were made by me." Remus finished, sighing deeply making Sirius and Miralette look at him sympathetically but he took no notice of them.
He pushed his greying hair out of his eyes, pausing for a moment, then said, "That's where all of this starts — with my becoming of a werewolf. None of this could've happened if I hadn't been bitten, and if I hadn't been so foolhardy. ."
He looked sober and tired. Ron stared to interrupt but Hermione stopped him, "Shh!" She whisper shouted towards the boy beside her, watching Lupin intently.
Remus then explained how he became a werewolf. How he was only four when bitten, he had tried everything to get rid of it, any type of cure both nothing had worked. Remus explained about the potion Snape had given him that helps so he can safety turn, not harming himself or others in the process. Remus then continued to explain how Dumbledore had given him the chance to come to Hogwarts, claiming it was unfair to Remus since the boy had to turn into a werewolf every month on his own. The womping willow was planted for him, he told Harry, explaining how it worked and what he used to do when turning. How his transformation worked, the pain, the torture, everything.
Harry couldn't see where this story was going, he had never been told this before but they but he was listening raptly all the same. The only sound apart from Remus voice was the sound of Scabbers frightened squeaking.
"But apart from my transformation, I was happier then I had ever been in my entire life. For the first time ever I had friends, four great friends. Miralette Crouch, Sirius Black . . Peter Pettigrew . . and of course, your father, Harry — James Potter." Remus explained, turning around to face his two friends behind him with a grin of remembrance making the two copy it, smiling back at him before Remus turned back towards the teenagers.
"Now, my four friends could hardly fail to notice that I disappear once a month. I made up all sorts of stories, telling them my mother was ill, I had to go and see her. . I was terrified they would desert me the moment they found out what I was. But of course, like you Hermione, they worked out the truth. ."
"— and they didn't desert me at all. Instead, they did something for me that would make my transformations not only bearable but the best times of my life. They became Animagi." He explained with a warm smile at the memories, the two behind him mimicked the same expression.
"My dad too?" Harry said with astonishment making Remus and Sirius nod whilst Miralette was still thinking about the past, a solemn expression on her face.
"Yes, of course he did, it was his bloody idea." Sirius commented making the woman beside he let out a dramatic gasp, holding her hand to her chest.
"— it was mine and James idea. I found the idea from a book in my library, remember!" She argued making him smirk.
"No I don't remember actually." He lied in response, still salty James and Mira had researched without him all those years ago, her scowling in return.
"Sirius!"
"Fine— It was James and Stars idea to turn into animagis." Sirius reluctantly said towards the teens watching, grumbling about how she hadn't changed at all since she was a child.
Remus soon interrupted the petty argument, continuing his story about how he became a werewolf, Miralette snapped at him to hurry up to which he waved her off in return before continuing. He explained to the teenagers about how they came up with the groups nicknames, the map ect. He tells them about how he felt guilty about keeping the group secret from Dumbledore after all the man had done for him as a boy and why he had never told anyone about Miralette being an animagus. He said how he was a coward and he didn't want to rat out his best friend. He loved her — platonically of course — and didn't want to be the cause of her pain, despite thinking she was the cause of his.
"— I convinced myself that Miralette was getting into the school using dark arts she had learnt from Voldemort, that being an animagus had nothing to do with it, so in a way Snape had been right all along about me . ."
At the mention of one of her least favourite people in the whole Wizarding world, Miralettes head snapped over to Remus, "Snape?" She spoke harshly, taking her eyes off Scabbers for the first time in minutes, "What's Sni- Snape got to do with any of this?"
"Our old pal Snivellus is here, love" Sirius mutters in her ear as he casually wraps his arm around her shoulder, Remus being the only one hearing him making the werewolf scowl at the nickname.
"— Shut up Padfoot," He muttered towards his friends before turning towards the woman, "— Sirius is right, Snape is here teaching."
Remus then explained that they all went to school together, their feud that the group had against him — especially Miralette, James and Sirius. He told the trio about the prank, nearly killing Snape when Remus was in his moony form due to Sirius brash decisions. Remus lied on why they didn't get along, making up something about Snape being jealous of James' skills to which the feud started.
"So that's why Snape doesn't like you two. I thought Sirius had just annoyed the man into no end or something," Harry comments making Miralette and Remus snigger at Sirius' face of offence, "— so he thought you were in on the joke?"
"That's right," sneered a cold voice from the doorway. Severus Snape pulled off the invisibility cloak, his wand pointed directly at Miralette, Sirius and Remus.
