THE YOUNG GIRL was forced to stay still so she wouldn't hurt herself worse than she already was. She and her redheaded best friend each kept a hand on her left leg to keep it from moving. She could feel the thick fluid of blood oozing between her fingers as she tried to prevent too much bleeding.

But she could only hold the loads of blood back with one of her arms, which was also bleeding. She couldn't move her other arm at all, since it would cause even more agony, which made her frustrated.

The blonde was totally out of it, and she felt lightheaded and disoriented. She felt like she was going to die, and she would honestly do that right now that live through the excruciating pain. Everything she had gone through in the last 48 hours had taken a toll on her and she had finally had enough.

She looked up to see her other six friends following behind them on their bicycles. She herself and the redhead were in the back of a pickup truck that had offered to take them to the hospital, since they didn't have their bikes with them.

The girl was getting more lightheaded by the second, her vision becoming blurry as her head kept slumping forward.

"Stay awake, Steph!" the redhead demanded in a panic. "Stay awake, we're almost there!"

The blonde was barely able to listen to her, but she was distracted when she suddenly heard a loud and deafening sound ringing through her ears. She perked up a little, whipping her head around to find the source of the noise. When she finally found it, her heart sank and she felt more hopeless than ever.

"NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" she bellowed at the top of her lungs, the redhead trying to hold her down to the back of the pickup truck.

There were police cars speeding down the street with their sirens blaring and towards the place where the blonde had just escaped her nightmare. She couldn't let it happen, she couldn't. It would only mean more danger upon the children of Derry, Maine. But she also didn't know that, at this point, she was completely out of her mind.

"LET HIM DIE! LET HIM BURN IN HELL!!!!!" she screamed as a final attempt to draw attention to herself, not knowing that the boy with the soft green eyes was trying to tell her with his stutter that it was going to be okay...
