Peter felt the warm breeze in his face.
The sea reflected the rays of sunlight and glistened while there was not a single cloud hanging in the sky.
Narnia.
He saw Lucy in the corner of his eye, taking a step forward and looking at her older sister.
A bright smile in her face, she started to run, Susan quickly taking after her.
Peter took a glance back at Edmund and shoved him back while he also started running.
"I'm faster than you, Ed!", he called laughing while Susan screamed:"The last one's the rotten egg!"
Lucy broke out snickering at that comment.
"So, Edmund again or what?", she called and Edmund screamed:"Hey!"
Peter kicked away his shoes and pulled the gray school sweater off and he knew that Edmund was doing the same.
Lucy already was in the water, splashing it around.
Susan got hit, but differently to England, where she had told Lucy to stop, she laughed and splashed back.
Peter laughed, but only until he got hit by Edmund.
This is home.
"Ed?", Susan suddenly asked her brother.
"Ed!"
Edmund was looking up at some rocks behind the beach and asked:"Where do you suppose we are?"
"Your still wonder?", Peter asked jokingly.
"No," Edmund said. "I just can't remember any ruins in Narnia."
Peter followed Edmund's gaze and only now saw the ruins between the trees.
"Let's go up there!", Lucy said. "I want to know what happend!"
Peter quickly followed her over the sand and started to pick up his shoes.
He didn't put them on, he hadn't walked barefoot in quite a time.
"Where do you suppose it's something like a way?", Lucy asked him, while Edmund and Susan stayed behind and slowly followed them.
"Maybe at that left side?", Peter said and nodded into that direction.
"But if we don't find one, we still can go through the woods."
Lucy nodded.
Then she turned around to her siblings.
"Are you coming?", she called.
"We are!", Susan called back.
Peter stopped and waited for them to catch up before he turned to his left side.
"This looks like it could've been a way once," Susan said.
"That's true," Edmund said. "A long time ago."
"A very long time!"
They walked up the hill, what was done in ten minutes, and then everyone wandered off to discover the ruins on their own.
Peter especially loved the staircases that led up to nowhere.
The little stones hurt under his feet, but he wouldn't have started to wear his shoes for all the gold in Narnia.
He saw Susan and Lucy standing next to each other and Edmund walking up to them and quickly hurried down just to hear his brother saying:"This is mine! From my chess set!"
"Which chess set?", Peter asked and finally saw what was in Susan's hand.
It was a knight made of gold, a centaur, with eyes that were little rubies, but one was missing.
"Well, I didn't exactly have a chess set of solid gold in Finchley, did I?", Edmund asked and Peter rolled his eyes.
Then Lucy said something like:"I don't believe it!", and ran towards a place where no trees were.
Peter quickly chased after her and she took his hand.
"Don't you recognize it?", she asked him.
"What?", Peter asked.
She placed him in front of a stone, and then Edmund next to him and then Susan while she said:"Imagine walls! And columns there! And a glad roof!"
Peter frowned and then realisation hot him like a brick.
This is home.
