🎈 ✨🌧  extended  summary  for  "  a  world
ofΒ  silenceΒ  !!Β  "

β€” Having the ability to hear sounds is a natural gift for someone entering the world, and every human that can do this cherishes this like nothing else. There are possibly people out there in society that would lose their minds at the fact that they were either born without the sense of hearing or had just lost it in a likely accident. But there are also people that stay calm and slowly grow used to the loss of hearing as they grow older.

β€” That was maybe the reason why little Norma Parker was very used to hearing nothing but the ambient silence surrounding her.

β€” The girl had been born deaf even though her entire family didn't have this disability. Sure, she felt like she was always the odd one left out, but her mother, older brother, older sister, and younger sister never treated her any differently. She did appreciate this, although she never believed them, no matter how many times they tried their hardest to convince her. But her inability to take in any noise or voices around her was one of the only things she remembered about her childhood, since the past had basically been blocked with a screen of forgetfulness.

β€” Norma remembered almost nothing at all, except that she was deaf and that her little sister had died many years before.

β€” In fact, that loss still weighed heavily on the forty-year-old woman, even after so much time had passed to the point that she had been able to afford a cochlear implant when she was twenty-four. Despite finally having the ability to hear, she kind of wished that she could reverse the process because of her paranoia, having the feeling that something would happen to make her regret getting the implant right behind her left ear.

β€” So, Norma is not at all surprised when an old friend calls her up one day to inform her of a mission she has to do. She has to return to her old hometown of Derry, Maine in order to end a nightmare of hers once and for all, but she realized that it will be a difficult thing to do. She doesn't even remember when "IT" is so, although she is confused and frightened, she does manage to gather the courage to go back home to relive the traumatic experience she had endured twenty-seven years ago...

β€” ...back when she couldn't hear anything.

β€” Recalling the events of her past when she didn't have the ability to hear, can Norma put an end to the terror that has haunted her all of her life, or will she end up dying just like all of those kids a long time ago?

β€” And, most importantly, can she remember that she has once fallen for a boy that had gentle eyes and a stutter that she'll finally be able to hear...?
