3rd Person POV

"You're a Hart, Kaitlyn. Relative bloodline to the Hoffmans," Gideon states as Kaitlyn nods, "and our coven...it is the last remains of the Hoffman bloodline. Supreme Mathilda...is actually Mathilda Marie Hoffman- your aunt," he explains as Kaitlyn gasps at the news and Klaus just looks flustered with all the news, having had interacted with the Hoffmans a few times in his thousand-year long life.

"What the hell," Kaitlyn mumbles in shock of what she had just been told. There was more to her family? Here, in Italy? "tell me what you know, Gideon," she orders as Gideon nods and motions for them to follow him outside.

As Klaus and Kaitlyn follow behind Gideon, Lizzie goes to walk along with them when she finds herself unable to move, causing her to frown. She turns to look at Hope just in time to see her eyes roll back as she falls unconscious on the ground.

"Hope!" Lizzie yells out in fair, just in time for Josie to catch Hope's limp body as darkness engulfs them.

The twins gasp awake to see they were back in Hope's dorm room.

"What the hell happened?" Lizzie whisper-yells as Josie looks at her with fear.

"I...I don't know. What we saw... mom was killing people," Josie stutters at the memory of what they had witnessed.

"Hope, what do we-" Lizzie begins but quickly trails off when her eyes land on Hope's unconscious body lying on the ground, "Hope? Hope!"

"Oh my god, what is happening to her?" Josie asks as she moves closer to Hope and tries to nudge her awake, "Hope, wake up!"

"Is she drained? Jo, g-get her a bloodbag and call Ryan. Oh god, we should've known this'd be too much for her," Lizzie mumbles as Josie nods before rushing off to get to Ryan.

In was another 10 minutes before Josie returned to the dorm room, Ryan following suit with a furious expression.

"What did you guys do? Are you all out of your damn mind?" he growls, causing both Lizzie and Josie to stutter as he had never raised his voice at them before.

"We...we just wanted to find mom," Lizzie mumbles in fear.

"Find mom? Mom isn't lost! Uncle Kol asked you to drop it but you never listen!" Ryan snaps before crouching down on the floor next to Hope as Josie held out a bloodbag near her mouth. Some of the blood trickled down her throat but there was no change, she wasn't moving. Whatever damage had been done, the blood wasn't curing it.

"Call Uncle Kol," Ryan whispers in an unsure tone as the twins' eyes widen in fear.

"What? Are you insane? Uncle Kol will be furious," Lizzie retorts as Ryan glares at her.

"He had every right to. Mom asked him to look over you all while she was away and it's not been 24 hours before you guys go ahead and do something insane," Ryan fires back before turning to Josie, "Jo, call Uncle Kol now," he orders in a softer tone as Josie nods hesitantly before dialing Kol's number.

The call connects after a few rings, "yes sweetheart?" Kol's voice rings through the call.

"Hi, Uncle Kol," Josie responds, "I...um, I'm..."

"Yeah? Why do you sound so scared?"

"Um...something happened," Josie hesitates again, causing Ryan to take over.

"Hi Uncle Kol, can you please get to Hope's dorm room now? It's kind of an emergency," he says, "oh and, bring Aunt 'Vina, please."

"What the bloody hell did you do now?" Kol asked with a raised, concerned voice, "your mom left not even a day ago and you all messed up already. Ugh, you kids are such a pain."

"Just get here, please? We can talk then," Ryan pleads as Kol hums, "alright, give me 10 minutes."

"What now?" Lizzie questions after a few seconds of silence.

"Just pray to god Aunt Vina and Uncle Kol can figure out what's wrong, or you three are going to get into deep trouble," Ryan scoffs as the twins shared a worried look, the siblings all waiting for their guardians to arrive.

Triora, Italy

"You, Kaitlyn, are the daughter of a very powerful witch from our very own bloodline," Gideon begins as Kaitlyn nods, "she seemed like a lovely woman from all the things I've heard."

"She is," Kaitlyn answers with a smile, "she is a lovely woman."

Gideon frowns at her words, "is?"

"Oh, I mean, she is no more but...I've met her, so I know how wonderful she really is," Kaitlyn replies softly.

"You met her how?" Gideon asks with a confused expression.

"It's a long story but I've sort of travelled to the Supernatural Plane...more than once," Kaitlyn explains as Gideon's eyes widen by the revelation, "and I...I met her there. She was the one who helped us come up with a solution for my daughters the last time."

"Oh, so are you aware of your family history then?"

"Some of it, yes. I've read the ancestral journal she had with her...so I am aware of what our bloodline stands for," Kaitlyn replies as Gideon nods.

"That makes things easier then," he says before looking at Klaus' confused face, "or would you like me to summarize it for you?"

"Yeah, a summary would seem appropriate right now," Klaus grumbles, not liking how he was feeling left out of the conversation, let alone one about his soulmate's family. He knew how much Kaitlyn had always craved for a family, how much he always prioritized her found-family over everything. And if she did have an original family now, she deserved to find them and get to know them.

"Our Jupiter Coven is a merged bloodline of the cousin-lines: Hoffmans and Harts. We come from long line of powerful witches, dating back to the very beginning of magic. The Hoffmans are one of the original witch bloodlines. The other two are barely distinct anymore, one being the Original Witch's bloodline," Gideon points out.

"I've dealt with a few Hoffmans in my lifetime. It was here...it Italy when Kol was a maniac, the coven helped us control our bloodlust and train to be in control of our emotions," Klaus speaks up, "their magic gets transferred into their offspirngs after death, right? I had been told so by one of the witches I was with back then," he states while avoiding to look at Kaitlyn, who only rolled her eyes at him in response, causing Gideon to smile knowingly.

"In the early 1600s, due to multiple complexes, the Hoffman bloodline was disrupted. One offspring was caught tapping into dark magic and them, along with their next generations, were all shunned from our coven, stripping them off of their powers. This generation is where Supreme Mathilda descends from," Gideon informs, as Kaitlyn's eyes widen.

"She's an Original Hoffman?"

"Indeed. It was her great-great-great-great grandmother who was shunned by the coven. This led to Lady Genevieve being even more furious. She then tapped into dark magic and killed off the entire coven's members in vengeance. Lady Genevieve announced herself as the new Supreme with new rules for the coven. She, not only had our pure-blood magic but the dark magic too, which now still remains in Supreme Mathilda's veins. With no way left, that is when a Hoffman and a Hart decided to merge their bloodline, creating a new, more powerful one to rival Genevieve's.

"Ultimately, they did succeed in dethroning Lady Genevieve. Lady Rosalia Hart became the first Pureblood Hoffman-Hart and our coven's most renowned Supreme. She reigned for over a century before her bloodline carried out...eventually leading to your mother- Lady Catherine and you.

"On the other hand, even with Lady Genevieve gone, her children remained. Supreme Rosalia, being as kindhearted as she was, welcomed the innocent children back into the coven. All was good until the children passed down their hatred into their offsprings too, ultimately all deciding to betray our coven, waging a most brutal war. That was when Lady Mathilda was 17 and Lady Catherine was only 9 years of age. Your grandmother decided to send your mother away, in order to keep her safe and away from hateful eyes.

"Ultimately, the war ended. We had lost. Lady Catherine would've been elected as the next Supreme but your grandmother declared that she was no more, in order to keep her safe. This led to Lady Mathilda being crowed our next Supreme, against many protests and now, she is still reigning the same way she had been for nearly half a century now," Gideon finished his story as Klaus and Kaitlyn were left flustered with all the information they had been provided with.

"Why did your coven not want her as Supreme?" Klaus asks first.

"Except for the obvious bit of her having dark-blood running in her veins, people didn't like Mathilda because she was selfish, ruthless and everything their coven stood against. Our coven believes in kindness, generosity, helping others and all the good things. All good things she is against. Our coven believed in its members leading a normal life, looking at their coven duties as their jobs. They were paid for it, provided accommodation and we were one of the most advancing of all. It was Supreme Mathilda who had isolated our coven the way it is now. We had a palace once, many great pastures...we were true royalty. But not anymore," Gideon states sadly.

"Then why didn't you dethrone her?" Kaitlyn quizzes.

"We did not have a descendant to take her place. We believed Lady Catherine was dead. No one even knew about you. When Mathilda realized that Bellatrix could be a threat to her, she stripped her off of all her powers. If she can do that to her own daughter, she could harm you in horrible ways, Kaitlyn. And I believe when she first say you, she figured out who you were. That can be the only explanation," Gideon points out.

"Wait, what did you mean...Bella is Mathilda's daughter?" Kaitlyn asks in a surprised tone as Gideon nods, "so she is..."

"She is your half-cousin sister, you could say," Gideon finishes for her.

Klaus opens his mouth to add something to the conversation but gets interrupted by the ringtone of Kaitlyn's phone.

"Kol? Why is he calling me now? Sorry, I need to take this," Kaitlyn mumbles under her breath before answering the call.

"Hey Kol, is everything alright there?"

"No Sunshine, it's not. Your brilliant daughters have gotten themselves into a mess and even Davina and Freya cannot seem to figure out what is wrong with Hope," Kol grumbles as both Klaus and Kaitlyn's eyes widen in fear.

"Hope? What happened to her?" Klaus exclaims.

"Nik? Lyn, you found Nik?" Freya's voice chimes in.

"Mom? Is that you? I...we're so sorry," Lizzie begins but Kaitlyn cuts her off.

"What happened to Hope, Kol?" she repeats.

"She's...unconscious drained. Your daughters decided to carry a projection spell to spy on you," Kol sighs as Kaitlyn gasps, "and my guess is, the spell got too much for Hope to take."

"They...spied of me? Where-"

"You should ask them to bring her here," Gideon interrupts, "I might be able to help. And if you wish to undo the curse, we might have to take a look at it more closely."

Kaitlyn nods, "Kol, I need you to get Hope here. I'm sending you the location so just...get her here safely. We can talk about this later, okay?"

"Whatever you say, Sunshine. We'll see you in a few hours then, don't worry. Stay safe," Kol assures before hanging up the call as Kaitlyn sighs in worry, causing Klaus to wrap a comforting arm around her.

"You daughter is deteriorating quickly. We need to get started on the curse sooner," he states, "if you wait, I could summon Bella here to aid us."

"Please do, Gideon," Kaitlyn approves, "we need as much help as we can get."

"Alright, I will bring her to you and we can wait for your daughter to get here by then," Gideon says with a nod before walking away from the premises, likely headed to where Bellatrix would be.

Kaitlyn exhales loudly in frustration with everything that was going wrong all at once.

"You didn't tell everyone you were coming to look for me?" Klaus asks after a while, finally breaking the silence between them.

"I did," Kaitlyn mumbles, "everyone except the girls knew. I guess that's what led to them getting so curious, I...everything's so messed up. My own supposed family is hurting my child."

"It's not your fault. You didn't even know about any of this," Klaus comforts, "we'll save her, love. Hope will be fine."

"Even then, Nik they saw us...they saw us torturing, killing people brutally and god knows what. That's the image I've been protecting my kids from for years, but now...they know. They know what we really are like. What if they think we're the same monsters we swear to be protecting them from?" Kaitlyn expresses.

"They won't," Klaus immediately replies in a stern tone, "they won't because they know you, Rose. They know you're a gentle, loving soul who only sees the good in people. And they also know you're also the person who's taught them to fight for their family, never give up on loved ones. You're...far from a monster. You're the person who makes even devils want to become angels. You're..." he trails off, staring deep into her eyes as she never looked away even once. Her eyes were filled with tears as her lips quivered. All the restraint Klaus had put on for all this time crashing down. All the walls had collapsed in that split second. All he wanted to do was hold her, hug her, kiss her and show her how she was nothing even merely close to a 'monster'. She was the angel, the saving grace in his life...as well as in many others'. He wanted to tell her, show her...and so he did.

In one swift movement, he walked towards her, closing the gap between them, kissing her so fiercely that it seemed as though his life depended on it. Klaus was almost scared when Kaitlyn didn't kiss him back instantly when in reality, she was flustered, trying to comprehend what was happening. And as soon as she did, she kissed him back just as passionately.

Both their minds were clouded by the rush of many feelings, all at once. Yearning, passion, hunger, love...lust; all their emotions were overtaking their mind and their bodies as the two continued to kiss each other like they would never let go.

Their bodies pressed together heatedly against the wall, breathing heavily as their lips pressed together. Both could taste their shared breath, feel the thud of their combined heartbeat as we fumbled to not lose touch of each other.

Her lips were soft, almost silken, and pillowy against his own. Just as he had remembered them. They tasted like peaches and honey. 'They tasted like heaven,' he thought to himself.

Kaitlyn uttered a delightful moan as Klaus' tongue played with hers. She instinctively wraps her arms around his neck and slowly trails off to tug at the hair at the back of his head as he tightened his grip on her, as if she would slip away if he let go. The kiss was like a black holes pulling them in until all gravity was lost under each other's touch.

Both Klaus and Kaitlyn were struggling to catch their breath in-between their never-ending kisses but oxygen didn't seem to be a priority to either at the moment. Eventually, however, Kaitlyn moves her face away, burying it into the crook of Klaus' neck as his lips sensually brushed against her ear.

"You," Klaus whispers softly, "you're perfect. You're the best thing that ever happened to me...you're the one that held onto me and showed me I was worthy of love. That I could be loved. That I wasn't the monster I had thought of myself to be. You were my missing piece in life. When I found you, you saved me, Kaitlyn. So never, for even a second, think anyone could ever think ill of you. Not me, not your children. You make people better. Don't ever doubt yourself on that," he assures her, softly brushing his lips along her face, placing a loving kiss on the side of her head as Kaitlyn finally looked up to face him.

"Please don't leave again," Kaitlyn begs with tear-stained eyes, making Klaus realize his shirt was now soggy with her tears.

"Never," he assures, "I know I say that and I have a habit of not keeping up with my promises but...I love you, more than anything- the sun, moon, oceans, the sky; all of it and none of it ever compares to my love for you. We're going to save our daughter and we're going to go home, be the family we were always meant to be. You trust me?"

"Of course, I do," Kaitlyn replies instantly, "I always have. I love you, Nik. I just want my family to be in peace for once."

"I know, I do too," he agrees while leaning down to place another soft kiss on Kaitlyn's plump lips. Before either can get carried away and the kiss can intensify, they hear someone clear their throat from behind.

The two immediately break away and turn to look at their intruder- Gideon...and Bellatrix.

Kaitlyn's face flushed red in embarrassment as Gideon avoided looking their way and Bellatrix stood grinning from beside him.

"You're back," Klaus states is an almost annoyed tone as Kaitlyn nudges him with a 'be nice' look.

"Yes, and I've brought Bella along, so if you're...done, we should get started on the spell," he suggests as Kaitlyn nods.

"Um yeah, we're...done. What do we need for the spell?" she asks.

"A new place, to begin with," Bellatrix speaks up, "we cannot stay here."

"I know a place," Klaus offers as Bellatrix glares at him but eventually, they all agree to travel to Klaus' 'hideout', which they had apparently used to trap Kol in while they taught him to control his bloodlust, so he wouldn't attract too much attention to himself and his family.

Author's Note

Here's an update! Alright, you guys need to help me out with something. Suggest some pet names you'd imagine Klaus and Kaitlyn use for each other. I'm out of ideas and I could really use the help!ย

Also, some of your suggestions were really great and I'm totally considering them into the plot. Feel free to leave more suggestion! I love it when you guys interact with me heheh.
