Eliana's bedroom !!

5 PM, she couldn't recall how long it'd been. She hadn't talked to anyone or left her bed. She grabbed her phone and checked the notifications. There were plenty of unread messages from friends and Miguel.

There was alerts from her social media, some games, and after random apps. She scrolled through her messages, unable to find any alerts from her best friend.

Another reminder showed up on the screen. The All Valley tournament. The competition she'd been looking forward to was suddenly... obsolete.

The All Valley Championship !!

Eliana yawned and licked her teeth, the taste of her toothpaste still present in her mouth. While the announcer introduced the game, she made sure her ponytail was tight enough.

All this time that she'd been training, trying her absolute best. Now was the time to show everyone what she was capable of.

"Give it up for Miyagi-Do Karate, led by two-time All Valley Champion Daniel LaRusso!"

The crowd cheered as all the Miyagi-Dos walked out. The sounds slightly hurt Eliana's ears and she covered them with her hands.

Devon noticed and gently tapped her, asking if she was okay.

"Yeah, uh, I'm alright. Just a little loud."

"Yeah, I get that. I mean, loud crowds have never really affected me that badly but I get not being used to something like that."

Eliana smiled and thanked her. Juno then came up to them with shorter nails than usual. She was told to get them off for the tournament, which she wasn't very happy about.

Eliana and Devon looked at her confidence the ladder questioning her. "Where've you been?"

"I was doing my hair."

"Y'know a ponytail would've been just fine."

Juno looked to Eliana while laughing, resting an hand on her shoulder. "Eli, I have to be presentable at all times."

Then Cobra Kai was called out. Tory and Robby walked out behind Silver and Kreese and Eliana could feel goosebumps crawl up her arm.

What if she had to fight Tory? She didn't want to, nor did she believe she could have any chance at winning. And she thought Juno. Was she going to have to fight her own sister?

"And finally..." She shook her mind empty, readying herself to run out to all those people.

"This dojo is making their All Valley debut, though you'll recognize a few familiar faces. Every year, a new rises up the ranks. Does this newcomer have what it takes to win it all? Please welcome Eagle Fang Karate, led by Sensei Johnny Lawrence and defending champion Miguel Diaz!"

They jogged to their place beside Miyagi-Do and Eliana noticed Anthony in the crowd. He was waving to someone and she was almost sure it was her. She smiled but didn't wave back, she had to stay still.

"At the end of the day, only one of these dojos can be crowned Grand Champion. Welcome to the 51st annual All Valley Under-18 Karate Tournament!"

There was a standing ovation before anything even happened. This town was so obsessed with watching children fight.

Eliana was waving to her family and Anthony, her smile wider than it'd ever been. How quickly her mood changed, she didn't bother to wonder the reason.

Johnny saw Daniel gather his students and decided that was a good idea so he did the same. Juno pulled Eliana's arm towards the others, effectively taking her attention off Anthony.

"Eagle fangs, listen up. Some of you have been here before and for some of you, it's your first karate tournament. I still remember my first All Valley, where I pummeled the ever-loving crap out of my opponents as the crowd cheered. Now getting here hasn't been easy. They tried to soften you up. That bullshit's behind us now. Remember what's at stake. If Cobra Kai wins, we shut down. That means no more Eagle Fang. We're not gonna let that happen, are we?"

All the students of Eagle Fang shouted at the top of their lungs. "No, Sensei!"

"That's what I thought. Remember, we have something that Cobra Kai doesn't. We have a feigning champion," Johnny pointed to Miguel, who didn't even bother to try on a smile. He couldn't forget the night before.

"Let's get out there and show Cobra Kai what we're made of. Are you ready?"

"Yes, Sensei!"

"Alright, good. Let's warm up." The students all turned away except for, "Diaz, a word."

Eliana, rightfully, assumed he meant Miguel and ignored the call. She instead stayed with Juno.

She whispered to Juno, not too low but not too loud. "You nervous?"

Juno spoke in her normal volume, looking at Eliana a bit weirdly. Like she was dumbfounded at the question. "No, are you?"

"A bit."

"Why?"

"Why aren't you? I mean, what if you have to fight your sister?"

Juno scoffed, "I've fought better opponents."

"You seriously don't think your sister's that good?" Eliana cocked her head to the side, trying to get a better view of Juno's face.

Juno rolled her eyes and shook her head, "It doesn't matter if she's good or not. What matters is if I'm confident enough to win the fight. At least that's all that matters to me."

Eliana paused, "So, you think you could win a fight with Penis Breath?"

"Definitely. He'd be on the floor in less than 10 minutes." They stood in silence for a bit. "Why do you call him Penis Breath? Like, do any of you know his real name?"

Eliana racked her brain, unable to find anything on anyone mentioning his name.

The crowd applauded Daryl once again while he simply walked onto the mats. It's like he was their favorite part of the tournament. He could take a step and they'd cheer. Actually, I think I've seen it happen before.

"Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to begin our skills competition. Up first, Demetri Alexopoulos from Miyagi-Do Karate, who'll be showcasing the kamas."

He was pretty intimidating, if Eliana was honest with herself. Although she wasn't sure if yelling and jabbing weapons was much of a skill. Sure, it might come handy in a fight, but would he actually use it?

Devon showcased the classic board hits and kicks, and Eliana watched as Kenny did the same. He was so aggressive, he looked like a completely different person than he was on his first day at the middle school.

"And just like that, Miyagi-Do has been snake bit as Cobra Kai takes the lead, with our qualifier rounds up next."

Eliana panicked endlessly over who she was fighting. Not that it seemed too important to anyone else right now.

"How the hell are we in sixth place?"

"The skills events are weighed differently. Gold medal are ten points, silver—"

Johnny brushed off Devon's numbers. "I don't give a shit about the math. What do we need to beat Cobra Kai?"

"Uh, math. To catch up on points, we need to win as many matches in the qualifying rounds as possible. The further we get, the tighter the vice around Cobra Kai's metaphorical balls."

"Okay. Good. Now you're speaking my language."

"We can do this." Juno nodded her head continuously and stopped to shout at everyone gathered around her, "Let's go kick some Cobra Kai ass!"

Everyone cheered and chanted Eagle Fang until the microphone was tapped.

"Ladies and gentleman, the male and female division qualifiers are about to begin. And with them, we enter a new era!" Whoever this guy was shouted excitedly into the microphone and got the crowd excited again. "That's why we need a very special guest to kick things off."

Everyone in the building looked confused, nothing was said of a special guest joining. "Let's give a big All Valley welcome to multi-Grammy-award winning, international superstar, Carrie Underwood!"

Eliana joined the crowds cheers this time, clapping while she yelled out her disbelief.

"How the fuck did they get her here?!"

The entirety of the Eagle Fang dojo stared at her and when she noticed, she just gave them an irritated expression.

"Oh, sorry, I forgot I can't have emotional reactions to anything anymore." They all laughed and then they watched her performance. And Eliana loved every second of it.

Every. Single. Second. She made sure to yell for Carmen to film it and send it to her phone for later.

The qualifying matches started. Each fight was a mini heart attack, minus the inner-dojo fights. Eliana had no idea why they were having dojos fight against their own teammates but she didn't bother to ask.

It was Eliana's turn to fight. She was going against Sam. Her brother's girlfriend, her sister figure, one of her close friends.

She still tried her best, getting angry when she noticed Sam was holding back. And she almost won the match, losing when Sam got her leg and made her lose her balance, falling to the ground.

She felt embarrassed. Obviously Sam would be better than her, she'd been learning karate for who knows how long. But she couldn't help but feel like she messed up somehow.

Johnny patted her back as she returned to her team. "Nice job, Ellie. That was good."

"For a beginner."

"Hey, remember you were a beginner not too long ago."

"Alright, folks. We've witnessed some great fighting today. But you ain't seen nothing yet. Because we have arrived at the quarterfinals!" Daryl chuckled as the crowd cheered again.

"Which means things are about to get intense. Of the eight boys and eight girls on this stage, one of each will be named All Valley champion. And then we'll tally all the points to determine which dojo has earned the title of Grand champion. And since the points get higher each round... it's still any dojo's game. So you keep your eyes on this here blue mat, he has we are just getting started!"

Miguel was up first, he won his match. Then Devon was up against Tory, she lost.

She quickly walked back to her team, stopping in front of Johnny."It's alright. You did great out there today."

"I let her shut me out! I should've focused on my low game." She kept turning on her heels, a look of defeat present on her face.

"She's been at this longer than you. There's no reason to feel bad."

"Oh, I don't feel bad. I only trained for six weeks," She chuckled. "I'm gonna be stomping all these weak ass bitches next year."

"So with you out, do we even have a chance of winning anymore?"

"If the right female fighters get eliminated, and, Miguel makes it to the final and he wins, then, technically, there's a chance."

Johnny smiled to Miguel, "Good chance."

Eliana could feel the sorrow radiating off of him. The memory of the night before forever tattooed into their very being. And Johnny had no idea about it.

Next up was Demetri, he won the match. It made all of Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang proud. Even though he'd been fighting longer than a lot of them, for some reason it still surprised them to see him do so well.

After was Eli against Kyler. One of the worst bullies of Cobra Kai. He jumped onto the mat looking as confident as ever, and he won the match.

Sam fought Piper Elswith.

"You got this, Sam! Just like we practiced!"

Juno cupped her mouth to sound louder, "Good luck, Pip! You're gonna need it!"

Piper taunted Juno, obviously aggravated by the joking. She fought Sam and lost the match. She felt embarrassed and frowned after hearing her sister cheer for the other team.

Next up... Kenny and Robby. Another inner dojo fight. It seemed like Kenny actually had a chance at winning. He wasn't hesitating with any hit. Still, he was defeated.

Everyone winced when Robby kicked him right in the face. Robby tried to chase after him but was stopped by Tory. Eliana thought of going after him, but he hadn't wanted to talk to her at all. Would he really want to now?

"Is it bad if I kinda feel bad for Kenny?"

Juno shook her head to Eliana, "Nah. He's the opponent, and whatever happened couldn't have been that bad."

Miguel had to fight Eli now. Eli was his best friend, and Johnny tried to give him a pep talk but it just angered Miguel.

On the mat, they did a quick secret handshake and readied themselves. Two worthy opponents against each other, Eliana cheered louder than anyone on the team as she watched her brother jump up to strike.

Suddenly, he fell and the crowd gasped while they watched him cry out in pain. Eliana rushed to him, crouching in between Eli and Johnny worried as ever.

After the last one, I'll prolly take a break from writing for this fic and try to focus on another one. It won't be that long of a break but it'll be longer than a week or smth
