Salvation Army !!
OVERALLS WEREN'T TOO POPULAR NOW, but Eliana still liked them. She thought they looked cute. Though, Juno wasn't too fond of them.
"Lana, come look at these shirts. You said you like this band, right?" She grabbed a Pink Floyd t-shirt and laid it over her chest.
Eliana's eyes widened as she smiled. "Oh, yeah! Looks sick."
"And look, you can cut off the collar and it'll look super cute."
Carmen appeared from behind the girls suddenly, raising an eyebrow. "Hope it's not too revealing. Otherwise you'll be wasting shirts."
Eliana sighed, "Mama, if anything I can just wear them around the house or to sleep."
Her mother threw her hands up, she was okay with it but was nonverbally warning the young girl. They continued to shop for clothing, they were going back to school shopping really early.
"You guys see the new Cobra Kai ad?"
Eliana rolled her eyes in disgust, "Don't even, Evan. I don't wanna hear anything about that... eugh." She shivered at the thought of the company.
She checked her phone for the fourth time since they'd gotten to the store. Scrolling through her notifications to find a message that never came.
"Mija, if you really want someone to message you, you try first."
"No point. He's probably still grounded."
"Who?"
Juno giggled, "Anthony LaRusso."
Carmen nodded her head, thinking of a response. "Is he nice?"
A small smile creeps onto Eliana's face, "Yeah." And then the memories from the year before flashed into her mind, and her smile fell a bit. "When he wants to be."
Carmen's eyebrow raised, "What does that mean?"
She pushed some hair behind her ear and briefly scratched the nape of her neck. "Uh, he, he used to tease some kids. Butβhe's better now. Not as... mean."
"Well, besides the past mistakes, he's sounds like a good guy."
Juno chuckled. "He's okay." She glanced at her friend, catching her gorgeous smile. "A bit pathetic but he's charming."
"Okay, no need to start dissing my man."
"He is not your man."
"Yet." Eliana's lips stretched into a straight smile while she tilted her head.
Carmen laughed a bit awkwardly. "You know, you are a bit young to date. But, he sounds like a nice boy. Why don't you invite him over for dinner?"
The girls glanced at each other for a moment and Eliana looked to Carmen. "I don't know, Ma. He actually might be grounded so I don't think he'd be allowed over."
"That's a shame."
"You could ask him." Juno whispered and the others laughed it off. They continued their snapping, leaving with 3 whole bags of clothing. It was a fun day out, and a nice distraction from their current situation.

Diaz living room !!
Carmen's call with Johnny ended and she turned to Eliana, sitting on the couch. The look on her face made her internal thoughts so obvious.
She missed Miguel and felt so lonely without her brother. She wasn't one to leave the house a lot and Miguel kept her company.
Sometimes she'd just walk into his room and hang out with him on his bed. She called it their quiet time. And she sure loved it.
Since he left, she'd been spending time in Miguel's room. Not snooping or anything, just laying on his bed on her phone.
Carmen noticed, and so did Maria. They never said anything about it because they understood how she was feeling.
"He's not there yet?" Carmen sighed and shook her head.
"No. He said they're having car troubles."
Eliana stood up and slowly made her way to her room. "Can I go ahead and cut some old shirts?"
"Sure. Not too many."
"'Kay. Love you, mama."

Eliana's bedroom !!
She stood in front of her mirror, looking at the shirt she wore from all sides. She'd finished cutting the last of 4 shirts. She smiled to herself, content with the look and she grabbed her phone to text Juno.

She waited patiently for a call and immediately answered when her phone rang.
She leaned her phone against the wall behind her desk and FaceTimed Juno. She waited for the call to go through and posed.
"You were right! It's super cute." The girl on the other side of the screen laughed.
"I told you."
"Thanks for the advice," She adjusted her shirt and sat down in her chair. "I'm slowly upgrading my wardrobe."
Juno set her phone on a surface and fixed her hair. She shrugged knowingly and smiled. "I'm great like that."
Eliana chuckled. "Yeah, okay."
It was silent for a bit until Juno opened her mouth, leaning on her hand.
"I know you don't wanna talk about it, but I need to talk about it to someone that sees the bad in it."
Eliana sighed. "I love my sister and all, but if I say what I want to around her because she's in Cobra Kai and sides with them. She just, just doesn't see Silver the same way we do."
"Have you tried breaking the Terry Silver curse?" Juno laughed briefly. "I've heard it's a bit hard but I'm sure you could do it.
"I don't know. My sister's pretty stubborn."
The girls thought for a moment but couldn't think of anything and eventually gave up. The rest of the afternoon they spent on the call. They painted their nails, played iMessage games, and talked of current running shows and movies. Another great distraction for Eliana.
11 p.m. and the girls both laid in their beds. They'd been pretty quiet on the call for a while already, and Eliana's mind started to wander.
She looked at her newly painted nails. Each finger was a mixture of pink, blue, and purple polish. Juno looked at the screen to see the sadness in her dear friend's eyes.
"You okay?"
Eliana paused before answering. "Not really."
"What's wrong?" She winced slightly. "I mean, what's on your mind?"
"...I miss Miguel. I get why he left, but I don't understand why he didn't, like, ask us to come along or something. Why did he just... go? And he didn't even think about how it would affect us or anything. He just got up and left the whole country!"
"He'll come back soon enough, Lana."
"You don't know that."
Juno's eyebrows furrowed and she fell silent.
"I'm sorry. I just... I've never been away from Miggy for this long," She sighed and she thought of her brother, and what he could be doing now. "I honestly can't remember a time without him or my family."
"Just trust me, Lana. Miguel will be back in time, and by then this would feel like you js to wait 10 seconds." She smiled to her friend and tried to stifle a yawn.
Eliana giggled at the yawn and she lazily picked herself up. "Goodnight, Evan."
"You're going to, uh, to sleep already?"
"Yeah, more days that pass by, the sooner Miggy gets back."
Juno yawned again, "Okay, goodnight mβEliana."
"G'night."
The called ended and Eliana sat in the silence of her room. She pulled her blanket up to cover herself completely and rolled onto her side.
Staring at her wall, wishing she could call Miguel, but he hadn't been answering her texts and sending her straight to voicemail. It was no use.
If only she could call the one she wanted. Not only Miguel, but Anthony. She missed both of them. She hadn't seen either of them since the tournament. It made her feel the loneliest she'd ever felt before. It was miserable.
