Heyy! I know y'all wanna stab me in the heart now for not updating fast😩 I'm sowwy!😭 Thing is, I've been really busy with tests and exams and all that, so updates are gonna be slowerr till I'm done. And that's like in May or so?🙃

Chapter 7: Aftermath.

Rihanna.

I was just running blindly with no direction. The tears in my eyes blurred my vision but I didn't care. I didn't care if I scraped my hands against the wall or if I hit something. I just wanted to let the pain out.

Nathaniel...Efua...

The pain hit me again and again. Two people I trusted most stabbed me in the back with a dagger and it hurt like hell. I felt like my heart had been ripped out and crushed to powder.

In the process of running, I fell but I stood up. Then I hit the wall...

Just let me faint..

Instead of falling, I was upright. And the wall was warm and nice scenting. It held me upright by holding my waist.

Walls do that now? Omo, I'm going crazy...

" Rihanna?" I heard it say and I frowned. Since when do walls talk abeg?

Mumu, open your eyes!

I opened my eyes and saw greyish golden eyes and blinked. His face was filled with so much concern that I burst into tears immediately, attracting the attention of many other students.

"He hurt me!" I whimpered into his chest and held him tight, the pain resurfacing.

"He hurt me" I whispered this time. He patted my back softly, like he knew what happened even though I know he didn't. I didn't even know why I was clutching him tight like he was like my lifeline. But I liked how he felt, warm and comforting.

"It's alright" he whispered. By now, I was hearing murmurs from around and remembered that I was in Zayne's arms. It hit me, I freaking hugged Zayne DaSilva!

I let go.

"Sorry" I murmured and ran before he could reply. I ran to the swimming pool and sat down.

Then I cried.

I cried so hard, I thought blood would start running out. I cried for my dreams which were squashed by my father. I cried for my elder bros who weren't here to see how I was doing. I cried for the fact that no one cared except my friends and my brothers. I cried because Efua and Nathaniel were fucking each other behind my back.

I cried for myself.

For how worthless I was. Who wanted a girl with a mental illness? No one. Maybe that's why everyone just treated me like shit. Except for my friends and brothers of course.

"Do you want to talk about what happened?" I heard that liquid voice ask. I sniffed and wiped my tears and turned to see him standing there.

"No" I replied. He nodded slowly and turned to walk away.

"Whatever it is... I'm sorry" he said.

"Can you help me call my friends? Empress and Justice?" I asked. He stopped and stared at me, pinning me with those eyes of his.

"Fine" he replied. I was internally grateful he didn't mention Efua's name. I watched as he walked away. The way he walked so confidently, like he was the owner of the world. Some people really had everything going for them.

After spending five minutes, I heard footsteps and turned.

"Riri? Oh my gosh! Baby what happened? I was searching all over for you and I heard what happened. Zayne just called us now, where's Efua?" Empress rambled with worry on her face. She crushed me into her super warm hug and I felt the tears coming back.

"Rihanna na, tell us what happened? Who made you cry?!" Justice asked, looking like she wants to cry herself.

"Efua and Nathaniel..." I whispered.

"Ehen? What happened to them?" Empress asked.

I narrated the whole story. Right from when I went to the sickbay to when I got here. They both looked shocked like I was saying things that were too impossible to be true.

"I...I can't believe what Efua did. And Nathaniel? I expected him to do this shit anytime but not with Efua" Empress finally said.

"What are you going to do now?" Justice asked, rubbing my back.

"I don't know. I'm just confused. It feels like I'm in a nightmare you know" I replied.

"I'm going to kill that bloody bitch!" Empress yelled in anger. Justice winced at her language but didn't say anything.

"I'm going to join you too" She said, still rubbing my back. I smiled weakly. Here were true friends, friends that were willing to fight your battles for you.

Friends that really cared.

"Cheer up girl! Don't cry over some bastard that don't deserve you. Live your life and don't kill yourself for anybody okay?" Empie said.

"Okay" I replied, smiling a little.

"Now let's go kill some assholes" Justice shouted and dragged me up. I dusted my uniform and walked with them to the class, hoping I don't have to confront, I wasn't ready for that yet.

Zayne.

Dayo and Amir kept staring at me but I didn't pay them any heed. Whatever they saw in my face was their business. Right now, I was thinking about some serious stuff.

Like why Rihanna was crying.

I wasn't expecting her to hug me tight like that. I mean not that we were enemies, but we weren't friends either. Infact, we did our best to avoid each other.

Till today.

I couldn't forget the image of tears streaming down her face. How she held me tight and whispered "He hurt me" in a pained voice. Or how I watched her cry herself out at the pool. I wanted to hold her, comfort her, but I stood there like a dummy, unable to do anything.

Why do I care anyways? She wasn't the first to have issues and she won't be the last. So why do I give a damn?

I sighed...the truth was I don't know!

"Is anything wrong Zee?" Amir asked quietly.

"Yeah yeah. Just..stressed that's all" I replied.

"Bro, you were with us in class that time and now you are stressed? Why was Rihanna crying and why did she hug you?" Dayo asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I don't know okay? I'm trying to make sense out of it" I replied. I looked up and saw Nathaniel.. Rihanna's boyfriend I think. He was holding Efua by her waist and it sure generated a whole lotta curious comments from our classmates.

I was curious myself.

What's going on?

"Isn't that..?" Dayo whispered.

"Rihanna's boyfriend?" Amir answered.

"Ah ahn, Nathan wey your babe na? Since when you and Efua begin dey date?" One of the boys asked.

"I and Rihanna? We've broken up, I'm with my babe now. My real babe" he replied with a smirk.

Son of a bitch!

"Oh no" Amir whispered.

"I no understand oo!" Others replied.

"Let me make it clear guys" Efua drawled, trying to sound sexy, but she wasn't. "Nathaniel was supposed to be my boyfriend but he was snatched away from me by Rihanna. So I just got him back" she said sweetly.

"What the-" Dayo muttered.

"So Rihanna dey steal person boyfriend?"

"No wonder! Poor Efua, seeing your true love snatched by someone else"

"Fear girls oo!"

"And that stupid girl looks so innocent ehn?"

I wanted to shout at all of them for their stupidity. Weren't they present when Nathaniel asked her out in public? Or were they just plain spiteful?

Rihanna chose that moment to walk into the class with her two remaining friends. Even with the pain, she still looked strong, like someone who wasn't ready to crumble under the weight.

"Oh she's here" Efua snickered. The confused look on Rihanna's face could not be mistaken. Even Empress who was boiling like hot water looked confused.

"Shit is about to go down" Dayo whispered.

"So you've made your choice? You want her? After all we had together, you still do this?" Rihanna asked, looking at Nathan with hurt in her eyes.

"Mama shut up! Boyfriend snatcher!" A guy shouted.

I was so close to retorting.

"Huh? Who are you calling boyfriend snatcher?" Empress asked with anger and confusion.

"Oh so you haven't heard? Efua here just told us about how you snatched Nathaniel from her before and now she just got him back. Why are you angry? Didn't you steal him first?" The boy replied.

"What?!" Rihanna shouted and glowered at Efua and Nathaniel who were just smirking.

"That's the truth darling. I'm done with you" Nathaniel said. I saw Rihanna grip Justice's hand, like she was restraining herself.

"That's not true! Nathaniel asked me out fair and square! You all were there, you all were!" She screamed.

"Easy madam, you are spitting on us." Efua scorned.

"You guys should shut up!" Empress shouted, advancing at Efua but Rihanna held her back while Efua took cover behind Nathaniel.

"Touch her let me see you. You think I don't hit women?" He growled. Rihanna stared at him in surprise for a while...

Then she smiled.

Okay woah, that's creepy as fuck.

" Is that how it is now?" She asked, smiling like someone cracked a funny joke.

"Rihanna" Justice whispered and held her hand.

"Alright. Keep him. Spoil my reputation. Do what you like. But let me tell you something darling" she said and walked closer to them.

"Don't cross my path. Don't pass your boundaries. If you do, I'll kill you. I promise" she said. The way she said with that smile on her face was just...evil. Even Nathan and Efua were speechless

"And as for you, Francis abi what's that your stupid name. Don't out your mouth in my matter again. You cross me, I'll make sure you regret the day your father's sperm touched your mum's ovaries" she threatened with a scowl. The next second, she smiled.

"Good day class. Please go on with your duties" she said sweetly and left with Empress chasing after her.

"Mad girl!" Efua screeched. Justice glared at her.

"Shut up bitch!" She blurted.

"Who's this small idiot oo! If I-"

"Efua it's enough" Amir's voice rang through the whole class. She kept quiet immediately but not without eyeing him.

"Babe let's go jare" Nathaniel said and led her out of the class. Justice ran out too.

"That was..crazy" Dayo said.

"Do you think she's going to be alright?" Amir asked looking worried.

"Does that look like she's going to be alright? Rihanna was freaking smiling! Who does that abeg?" Dayo snapped.

"Zayne?" Amir called me.

"She's not alright now. But she's going to be" I replied quietly. They both kept quiet for a while before continuing their discussion. Meanwhile, a plan was forming in my head.

I feel like stoning Efua and Nathaniel to death ☠️..can you imagine the trash they just did 😐

Is it just me, or is Zayne being nice to Riri?🌚

Rihanna is not normal at all. Imagine the drama she displayed at the end. No fighting, no yelling nothing nothing. Just that creepy smile and the threats. Iris well😓
