" PLOT. "

there are two very different sides to the kingdom of crecia. in the center of the land lies a luxurious castle full of snobbish, backstabbing courtiers and a ridiculously wealthy royal family. those that are fortunate enough to be brought up in the castle are often spoiled brats who look down upon anyone without a fancy title and a large family inheritance. few dare to venture outside of the castle, and the ones that do only go out of necessity. they're oblivious to the cruel realities of the world that lay beyond the castle gates and will probably remain that way for the rest of their days. muse a falls into this category, having been raised since birth to be a prized general in the king's army . however, muse a exceeded expectations by a long shot. the king recognized muse a's potential, so after a series of rigorous trainings and tests and sworn oaths, he dubbed him his secret personal assassin. muse a takes great honor and pride in dispatching any rebels or enemies of the throne, with no questions asked.

the other side of the kingdom lies beyond the castle gates. these overcrowded streets are known as the "slums", where the riffraff and the thieves reside in small ramshackle cottages ( if that's what you could even call them ). here you will often find the poor folk engaging in drunken brawls over stale bread and gambling off their only possessions in an attempt to feed their families. it is the place where the generous donate leftovers to the beggars on the streets at dawn, only to be gutted in a dark alleyway at dusk.  for muse b, this is considered home. muse b was raised by a small group of skilled assassins who taught her not only how to survive, but how to thrive in the slums. muse b worked her way up to eventually become one of the most notorious assassins in the entire kingdom, accepting job after job and saving up the blood money so that she may travel away from it all one day.

so how do these two star-crossed, ruthless killers meet? well, the king has his spies, and they have been informing him that a certain someone ( muse b ) has been stirring up some trouble along he border, causing merchants to back out of potential trade deals. the king won't tolerate this, so he orders muse a to find out who this someone is and to dispose of them. muse a accepts the mission, of course, figuring it will be just another piece of cake. what muse a didn't expect was to find that muse b had already snuck into the castle, with the intention of dispatching him for her own mission. the two will go head to head, realizing that they may have finally met their match ..

BACKSTORY;

he always wears an iron ring
that had belonged to his father,
and practically every piece of
clothing that he owns is black .
you'll never find him without
at least 12 extra hidden daggers ,
just in case . he also has a black
stallion ( no surprise ) named
'aerion' , after the immortal
horse owned by hercules , and
later adrastos .

SCENARIOS.

i. the royal family is hosting a masquerade ball, and muse b sneaks in ( using a mask to conceal her identity ) to murder muse a. neither of them know that the other is an assassin and that they are each other's targets. so they'll both be getting pleasant surprises on this magical night.
