"GO on" Taehyung hissed, a dangerous smirked curved on his lips, as he spat at the bastard before him. His intense gaze was burning holes in the man's head, daring him to touch the girl beside him, like the bastard had done before.
But the asshole quivered in fear, and literally yeeted himself from there, but before earning a nice punch from Taehyung. Glancing back at the girl who stood staring at him, he felt familiarity from her. But before she could speak anything, Taehyung walked away, spotting his friends waving at him. But his mind was muddled across one fact.
She was beautiful.

Stopping his bike in front of the bus stop, Taehyung glared at Taeyong and his coward gang, who fled the moment they noticed him. Smirking to himself, he gave a quick nod to Kang Seulgi, who was the reason for his arrival there. A small favor for her father.
As he rode the bike forward, his mind rewinded the girl who stood beside Seulgi. He was certain that he had seen her before but he couldn't pinpoint where. Shrugging it off, he shaked his head, scolding himself for paying attention to irrelevant things, rather than the thousands of paperworks waiting for him in his office.
After the death of his father, he had to take up the CEO position in Kim Holdings, the company resulted due to his father's blood, sweat and tears, at the young age of 22. He couldn't let his mother worry about him or otherwise his father wouldn't be happy with him.
A little promise between father and son!

Taehyung watched the treating figures of three girls. Apparently, they'd came to the kung-fu academy to check up on one of the girl's twin brothers. A scowl carved on his face as he glanced at the two snoring students.
Useless assholes!
"Isn't that the daughter of Dr. Lee Jaeho?" Kim Seokjin, his friend, asked, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Dr Lee?" Taehyung asked for confirmation. "Yeah, that's his daughter" Jin confirmed. "But I don't know her name"
Taehyung merely nodded at Seokjin's statements. But he was surprised to know that she was Dr. Lee Jaeho's daughter. The said man was one of the most respected person in their town. Not only that, he was Taehyung's father's dear old friend.
He watched her stopping to turn to look at him, but her friend stopped her, literally dragging her. A little giggle left his lips, watching her run like a baby.

Even though Taehyung was super busy with work, he still managed to find time to run some errands. It made him forget the exhaustion. At work, he was the literal CEO but outside, he was just another young man.
But the unusual thing was the presence of certain someone, wherever he went - Lee Jennie. The first time he noticed her was when she passed through his company. She was humming a tune, taking tiny steps forward. He was amused by her. Something about her was attracting him to her deeply.
Day by day, Taehyung found himself in the presence of this amusing girl. Her smile was what attracted him at first. Her adorable gummy smile. His eyes found her cat eyes wherever he went.
Taehyung didn't miss the way her eyes followed his figure, the way her eyes twinkle at the sight of him, the way her cheeks puff up with smiling widely and the way she broke the eye contact when he looks back at her.
And most importantly, Taehyung loved it.

An exhausted sigh left Taehyung's lips. He was so tired from all the work at office especially because his secretary was absent that day. Leaving one hand on the steering wheel, he lightly massaged the nape of his neck with the other. He couldn't wait to jump into the pool at home!
But when he saw a familiar figure at the distance, he parked his car near only to find out that Dr. Lee's car had broke down. Being the good boy he was, Taehyung should've offered a ride back home for Dr. Lee and family. But that day, his priority was not his ethics but Lee Jennie.
He watched her plopping down on the backseat, but her eyes were solely focused on the rearview mirror. A small smile carved on his lips as he drove off, a curious cat eyes watching his every move.
But Taehyung was not at all expecting any additional characters then on. Especially not Byun Baekhyun, the police chief. Back when he was a freshman in college, he had a mild clash with Baekhyun which had resulted in few days leave for both of them. Baekhyun in hospital due to multiple bone fractures and bruises, and him in jail because of Baekhyun's police daddy!
"Should I step out now?" He smirked, staring at the confused officer Chanyeol. A triumphant smile spread on Taehyung's lips as he watched Baekhyun's pale face. After a brief summary of his past with Dr. Lee, Taehyung's eyes moved to the rearview mirror, a ghost smile carving on his lips as he watched Jennie's impressed smile.

Taehyung walked through the little garden at the backyard of his house. It's his mother's favourite place to spend her time, tending to the beautiful flowers and butterflies perched on them. His mind was muddled around thousands of issues.
Holding onto the red umbrella tightly, he took careful steps through the pavement now covered with running water. Deciding to get a cup of tea, he walked towards the green meadow in front of his house. But a figure at the far stopped him.
Lee Jennie.
She was standing there in the middle of the large field, wearing a white midi dress, looking beautiful as ever. His gaze moved from her beautiful face to the drenched dress of hers, which clinged to her like a second skin.
"She's a highschooler" Taehyung chanted. "She's only nineteen" He repeated few times as to remind him. He took few steps forward to her. "Why are you here?"
A scowl left his mouth at her reply. He was pretty sure she could watch the rainfall from her house too. "Go home then!"
"Wait" Before he could think through, his mind and mouth had already acted their own. Taehyung watched himself approaching her, grabbing her hand towards him and placing the umbrella into her trembling hands.
Her pink lips curled into a small smile, before running away. Taehyung stood there in the middle of nowhere, his black hoodie drenched due to the rain and his mouth agape, not at all processing what the hell happened.
Shaking his head, Taehyung walked back to home, his whole body shivering due to the cold, his mind glitching due to his previous action.
And most importantly, he wondered why the fuck did his heart was pounding inside his rib cage, begging to let out!

Closing his eyes, Taehyung stood silently in a praying position, his mind overwhelmed with emotions about his father. It was his birthday and he used to come to this hilltop every year with his father, until he passed away few years back.
But something or someone pulled him away from his thoughts. Jennie stood beside him, mimicking his posture. Her eyes were closed but there was a faint smile on her lips.
"Why are you here?" His confused voice had her attention. But she'd another plan. Instead of answering his question, she'd successfully dodged it by throwing him a question in return. His forehead creased into a frown, but his lips and mind had betrayed him. They'd coordinated into a smile just because she was smiling widely at him, her gummy smile, his favourite.
Their conversation was cut short by the splattering rain and both of them took shelter under a ruined building. But that was his first mistake!
To escape from the splashing water, he leaned towards Jennie, an inch distance between them. Taehyung inhaled sharply when Jennie's body heat enveloped his space, pushing him into an unknown abyss. But when their eyes met, Taehyung lost it.
Taehyung had passed by many eyes, but not the chocolate brown eyes of Jennie. He got lost in hers. It was a connection he couldn't explain. She had a universe in her mind that shone as a galaxy through her eyes. But when she tilted her head to look straight into his eyes, he knew why she was there.
His eyes saw everything she wanted to tell. But damn, his soul felt each and every one of those. Eye contact was a dangerous, dangerous thing. "Uhm.." When she started to speak, he immediately stopped her. His heart flipped knowing that he was about to dim those twinkle in her eyes forever, it'd even turned into hot liquid, that slipped past her eyes after he'd spoke.
He rejected his offer to drop her off and he helplessly watched her retreating figure. "It's only a mere infatuation..." Taehyung chanted in his mind, trying to calm himself from running behind her.
When you develop an infatuation for someone, you always find a reason to believe that this is exactly the person for you.
And Kim Taehyung was not the one for her. Jennie deserved a handsome man who loved and cared for her - a perfect man. He was far from that. Moreover, he can't be selfish and accept her love only to spoil everything. She was only in her final year at school and the world was waiting endlessly for her. He couldn't be selfish and stop her from achieving her dreams.
He'll only be a burden, an obstacle, for her. And he couldn't afford to lose her if that happens.
Bending down, Taehyung picked up the tiny black box that she accidentally dropped on the ground. An audible gasp left his lips when he opened the box.
A mini red umbrella figure. It was beautiful. A tear left his eyes when he remembered that it was the miniature of the red umbrella he'd given her few days before in front of his house.
He saw and acted like he didn't see, but he saw.
I'm sorry Lee Jennie...
