SEOUL.
The capital of South Korea.
A huge metropolis where modern skyscrapers, high-tech subways and pop culture meet Buddhist temples, palaces and street markets.
A city of change.
6 years just flew passed and Jennie was a medical intern now. Lalisa was with Jennie at SNU, in business administration. And she got a new friend.
Park Chaeyoung from Australia. She's a medical intern too.
Three of them rented a small apartment near university instead of staying in hostel. The culinary skills Jennie had learnt to impress Taehyung came to be of good use now. She's an expert in cooking now!
Jennie's life had changed a lot, except 1 aspect.
Kim Taehyung.
A lot had happened in the past 6 years. But he didn't happened.
Life was a lot boring. Jennie slogged like a machine between classes and home. They were drowning in pure boredom, when that happened.

Life couldn't get anymore worse! That was what Jennie's mind was muddled around that whole day. She was mentally counting the minutes till the bell rings for the class to end.
"Let us now discuss about different kinds of heart attack or cardiac arrest" The professor spoke. "For example..." With that, he turned around to write on the black board, but before he could touch it, he suddenly fainted, falling down on the floor with a loud thud, hands clutching his chest.
They first thought that he was showing them a demo. But it turned out that he actually faced a heart attack and passed away!
After that it was full of condolences, funeral and holidays.
And to teach them, a fantastic new lecturer arrived.
Dr. Park Jimin.
An excellent teacher. Handsome and young. A simple soul and they all liked him. Especially, the girls.
"We can discuss this in detail" He said, pointing towards the black board where a name of some disease was written. "But before that, any doubts?"
A girl who sat in front of Jennie raised her hand immediately. "Are you married?" This had the whole class burst out in laughter. Dr. Park smiled awkwardly, before clearing his throat. "Any other doubts?"

Exactly 2 weeks had passed and viva exams started.
Jennie paced back and forth through the corridor, her heart racing and hands shaking in nervousness. Chaeyoung was currently inside the examination room and Jennie was next. Within minutes, Chaeyoung came outside, wishing Jennie a good luck.
Taking a deep breath, Jennie walked inside the room, only to be met with Dr. Park and another professor whom she didn't recognize, who wore glasses and had cute dimples, that she suddenly wanted to poke.
"Good afternoon sir" Jennie greeted them, before taking a seat in front of them.
"Good afternoon" They greeted her back. "Take one" Jimin said, gesturing his hand towards the things lied on the table before them.
Jennie glanced at the table, only to see a packet of biscuits opened in front of her. "No, it's okay sir" She denied politely.
Jimin shared a confused look with the doctor dimple, before speaking again. "Take one or how do we proceed?"
"No sir" Jennie smiled awkwardly. She was not there to eat snacks after all. "No thank you"
"How can we conduct viva without you picking this?" Dr. Park asked her, earning a nod of agreement from the doctor dimple. Sighing loudly, Jennie leaned forward to take a biscuit from the packet, before taking a bite from it.
...
The room was filled with echoing laugh, follow her action. Both of her teachers had broken into a fit of laughter, leaving her confused. Not knowing what was happening, Jennie too joined them, laughing awkwardly.
"I asked you to pick one of the instruments here" Dr. Park managed to speak, coughing in between. "Why did you take the biscuit?!"
Jennie wanted nothing but the ground to break open and swallow her as a whole. The embarrassment was creeping up on her, leaving her face flushing and body shivering.
"I misunderstood" Jennie mumbled, embarrassed. "Sorry sir"
And that was the beginning of a great friendship.

"After listening to Chaeyoung, it can only be that, right?" Lalisa implied, her voice teasing and eyes wiggling at Jennie. "What?" Jennie muttered, her eyes fixed on the laptop.
"Dr. Park Jimin" Lalisa said. "Chaeng thinks that he likes you" Jennie shaked her head in disappointment, hearing her friend's statements. "We are friends"
"Only great friends can become great lovers" Chaeyoung mumbled, to which Jennie didn't bother to reply. "His glances, small talks, smiles, play those in rewind"
This had Jennie thinking back to all her moments with Jimin. She was sure that he was only being friendly but a small percentage in her mind was against it. "Oh God! It's going to be a trouble"
Chaeyoung was in disagreement with Jennie's view. "What's the trouble? An amazing, handsome, sexy, well qualified young doctor! I would've blindly dated him if I was you"
Jennie moved her gaze from Chaeyoung to the red umbrella in the corner of their room. "Still thinking about the Kim guy?" Lalisa scowled. "An unique story. You confessed and he rejected saying that you were a kid. You could've had a kid now if you guys got together then"
Chaeyoung too joined. "Also he had given her a red umbrella! Red!?" She taunted. "He might've a wife and 4 kids in Gwancheon by now"
That night, Jennie had a nightmare. Kim Taehyung was married to one beauty and had 2 kids.
Jennie woke up from the dream, her body drenched in sweat. "What is it?" Chaeyoung being the light sleeper she was, immediately woke up. "Did you have a heart attack?"
"No, cancer" Jennie scowled, before going back to sleep. Chaeyoung glanced at now fast asleep Jennie, cursing at her for disturbing her sleep.
Jennie didn't sleep that night.

Next day was Chuseok. The autumn eve. And Jennie was walking through the corridor, with a heavy heart, thinking Kim Taehyung was possibly married, when she spotted Park Jimin walking towards her.
"Was he planning to propose to me?" Jennie inwardly thought, seeing a cheerful Jimin, waving his hands at her. She was praying hard to save her from any troubles with Jimin, when that happened.
She saw him, in the flesh, standing in front of her, blocking her from Jimin.
Kim Taehyung.
Jennie watched him turning to her, in slow motion. He had gotten more handsome over the years. His unique boxy smile spreaded across his lips as he spotted Jennie, walking towards her.
"Why are you here?" Jennie scowled internally at his question. What was she expecting? A hug? Clearing her throat, Jennie spoke. "I study here. An intern"
He nodded at me, taking in the information. "Why are you here?" I threw the question back at him. "I came to meet someone. Do you know Dr. Kim Namjoon's room?"
The first thought that crossed Jennie's mind was doctor dimple. A smile carved onto her lips as she finally got remembered his name, Kim Namjoon.
"Upstairs" Jennie told him, earning a smile and a nod. Saying a goodbye, Jennie watched Taehyung go, climbing the stairs. "Jennie, who was that?" Jimin's question brought her back from her trance.
"Jimin, I've something to say to you"
