JENNIE watched her aunt, In-na pouring the freshly prepared wine into a bottle. She couldn't wait to finally have a taste of that!
But as someone rang the doorbell, she sprinted to get the door even before In-na said a word.

In-na giggled seeing an excited Jennie and followed behind her. But what greeted her was a little surprising! In-na watched Jennie smiling widely at Taehyung, who passed her a small package that In-na had ordered. Not only that, Jennie even blew a kiss at the retreating figure of Taehyung.

Realizing the whole scenario, In-na walked back to the winery before Jennie could spot her. Jennie came back with the package, leaving it on the counter, before taking her seat. She gulped down the glass of wine, savouring it's sweet taste. "It's very intoxicating!"

"Any other things gives such a kick?" In-na hinted, her teasing gaze searching Jennie's confused one. "Love is intoxicating too, right?"

"I don't know" Jennie shrugged, her head falling. Taking a deep breath, In-na placed her hand on Jennie's shoulder. "Jennie, don't think I'm advising" She started. "Taehyung is a great guy. But..."

Jennie moved her eyes to her aunt's, intently listening to her. "At this age, it's natural to feel attraction. It may not be the feelings that last long, an immature feeling, infatuation"

"Forgetting the man she loved for years and marrying a strange bald guy whom she shared a tea for 2 minutes, Joohyun unnie is elder than me. Is that what you call maturity?" Jennie hissed, her eyebrows raised in a frown. "Jen-"

Jennie spoke, before her aunt could speak again. "I don't know, but my parents like Taehyung a lot. You also like him, don't you?" Before In-na could say something, Jennie continued. "You are the one who told me once to find the person that I love. And now?"

A small smile spread across In-na's face as she listened to Jennie's rambling. She didn't know her niece was so in love with someone, that too, Kim Taehyung!

"Does Taehyung know this?" In-na asked. "Have you told him?"

"No" Jennie sighed. "But I'll, when I get a chance"

"Do you know what is special this Sunday?" In-na asked with a sweet smile, to which Jennie shaked her head no. "It's his birthday"

Jennie cursed herself for not knowing his birthday. But how was she supposed to tell him? Her aunt tapped her shoulder, making her turn to the latter.

"And he'll go to a special place that day..." Her aunt trailed off. "...alone"

Jennie couldn't wipe off the stupid grin from her lips, that was plastered there since her aunt had told her the little secret. She was currently on a secret mission, stealthy following behind Kim Taehyung, to his secret spot.

Lee Jennie was going to finally confess her feelings to Kim Taehyung!

Jennie watched Taehyung from a safe distance, as he parked his bike, before starting to climb the small hill. Grabbing the tiny black box from her pocket, she followed behind him, taking each step carefully. After a few minutes of workout, Jennie's eyes were blessed with the ethereal beauty of nature, a beautiful hilltop view!

Jennie took careful steps towards Taehyung, who was now standing still, his eyes closed and hands folded in a prayer position. Standing beside him, she glanced at him before mimicking his posture.

"Please give him what he wants and then give him to me!" Jennie mentally muttered, praying to whoever Taehyung was talking to.

"Why are you here?" Jennie heard Taehyung's voice, confusion and shock in his voice. But instead of answering him, Jennie threw a question his way. "Why do you come here on your birthday?"

Jennie watched his eyebrows raising into a frown, but soon it turned into a sweet smile. Her heart warmed at the sight of his boxy smile and she was sure that she was already flashing him her gummy one!

"I used to come here with my father every birthday when I was young" Taehyung answered. "I like it here. I feel closer to my father someway" Jennie smiled at him.

"Have you brought an umbrella?" He asked her, his eyes at the darkened sky. Before she could reply, rain droplets started pouring out, drenching them instantly. Both of them immediately took shelter under an abandoned, ruined building, away from the chattering rain.

As the rain kept splashing, Taehyung leaned towards Jennie, keeping their bodies an inch away. Jennie held her breath once he stood extremely close to her, his eyes finding hers. They looked into each others eyes, but Taehyung turned away immediately after.

Jennie clenched her hand over the box, gripping it tightly, her knuckles turning white. She inhaled and exhaled deeply, finding the courage to confess to him. Making up her mind, Jennie spoke, her voice coming in tiny. "Uhm.."

"No" Taehyung's response had her confused, she hadn't even uttered a single word! "Don't say anything. I can guess what you're about to say. You're young and now it's the time to study. You can become a great doctor than your father, destined to reach greater heights. You should focus on that.."

Jennie stared at Taehyung, her eyes filling with tears, threatening to spill out, a lump in her throat. "The rain has stopped" He noted. "I'll drop you off"

"No need" Jennie voiced out, gulping down the lump down her throat, her voice cracking. "I've my bike"

Jennie turned on her heels, walking back, her steps tiny. She didn't dare to glance back at him. Her mind was completely in a turmoil, head spinning with various thoughts, emotions in a huddle.

She didn't even realize when that tiny black box had fallen down from her trembling hands, leaving behind the miniature red umbrella like the one Taehyung had given her once!

When Taehyung had said those things, Jennie was very upset. He even dared to call her a kid! He doesn't know the time she had spent in taking such a decision, right? But all these thoughts of her were thrown into a dustbin when that time came.

Medical entrance examinations!

After 5 - 6 months of torture, Jennie wrote her exams splendidly. And to recover from it, she slept for days! Her result came after a month and she got admission in Seoul National University.

Everything had changed during these period. She had turned more beautiful over the year and had turned legal age. But one thing remained unchanged.

Kim Taehyung. Her first love.

Before she was leaving to Seoul, Jennie wanted to meet him. Wherever she went, whoever she becomes, it all comes down to him finally.

"Jennie?" Aera's voice greeted Jennie, as she stepped inside Taehyung's house. She flashed a sweet smile on seeing her. "I heard from In-na that you've passed the exam. When are you leaving?"

"Tomorrow" Jennie politely replied, before continuing. "Where's Taehyung?"

"He went to Busan..." His mother answered, gesturing me to take a seat beside her. "...to attend a marriage of his friend" Jennie nodded, disappointed at herself for hoping for nothing.

Just like that, it ended.

Mr. Kim Taehyung exited Lee Jennie's life without a word.

Everything and everyone moved on with their lives. Jennie sold her bike. She packed her bags and left for Seoul. In-na was brewing a new wine when Jennie was leaving. Taeyong was arrested due to some illegal businesses. Only one person was sad with her departure, Jung Hoseok.

And Lee Jennie left to Seoul...
