HUMMING softly, Jennie walked outside, before picking up the cash cheque and her laptop bag. "Where are you off to?" Jennie's smile widened at her father's question. "Kim Holdings' community wedding event will be having this Lee Jennie's presence from today onwards!"

A proud smile flashed across Jaeho's face. "Good" He appreciated her. "It is good to take part in such social activities. I'm proud of you!"

"Is that so?" Jennie said, wiggling her eyebrows. "Then please sign this cheque" She said, passing her father the blank cheque. "I'll write the amount"

"Isn't this from my account?" Jaeho quirked an eyebrow, but still signed the cheque. "Yep" Jennie replied, popping the 'p'. Placing a quick kiss on her father's cheek, Jennie dashed to her car, driving off to Kim Holdings.

Jennie spent days in Kim Holdings, with Taehyung, discussing opinions and suggestions about the mass community wedding event. She was on cloud nine!

The event helped Jennie to get closer to Taehyung. So when she asked him to come with her to meet a special person, he agreed without much persuasion.

"Whose house is it?" Taehyung asked Jennie, as they stepped inside the house compound. Jennie simply smiled at him, before gesturing to follow her. She went straight in ringing the doorbell and waiting for the door to open.

"Nini!" Jennie literally ran to Yoongi's open arms, giving him a tight hug before releasing. "I missed you too" Yoongi chuckled, seeing a pouty Jennie. He welcomed them home, before turning to Taehyung.

"Kim Taehyung, right?" Yoongi smiled. "I know you" He chuckled lightly looking at Jennie, to which she hissed lightly. Taehyung flashed him an awkward smile, due to not knowing him. "If you read a lot, maybe, you'd have heard of me"

Yoongi leaned his hand forward for a handshake before introducing himself. "Min Yoongi, Agust D Publications" A look of recognition passed in Taehyung's face before he shaked Yoongi's hand back. "Yes, I've heard"

"I'm Dr. Lee Jennie's favourite patient" Yoongi spoke, as they took a seat on the couch. After Yoongi had tended to his guests, he came back with a small package in his hand.

"Agust D Publications will launch this book the coming week" Yoongi told them. "And I'm giving the first copy to you Taehyung" He handed Taehyung the small package. "Have a look"

Jennie watched Taehyung taking the package from Yoongi before opening it.

In Memory of the Little Red Flower

The title of the book said. When Jennie moved her gaze from the book to Taehyung's, a small smile carved onto her lips, seeing a teary eyed Taehyung. He seemed like he was having a mental breakdown inside.

After gulping the lump down his throat with difficulty, Taehyung stared at Jennie, already knowing she was behind this. How could he not get emotional seeing a hard copy of his mother's writings?

"When I was in hospital, Jennie gave me the manuscripts" Yoongi told Taehyung. "When I read, I felt that it was worth publishing" But when Taehyung's eyes moved to Jennie's, Yoongi immediately defended. "She hasn't influenced me. It is really worth it"

Patting Jennie's head, Yoongi continued. "This was her big wish. Kim Aera-ssi will be happy, won't she or will she file a complaint against me for stealing her works?" Taehyung chuckled lightly, still teary eyed, but he didn't let a tear fall down.

After little talks, Jennie and Taehyung bid goodbye to Yoongi. But before they left, Yoongi managed to talk to Taehyung alone when Jennie left to fetch something.

"Jennie's an amazing girl" Yoongi started. "It isn't easy to fulfill the dreams of others. Their heart must be full of love for that" He said, placing a hand on Taehyung's shoulder. "You are lucky to have her in your life"

As soon as Jennie came back, they left back to home. During the whole ride, she noticed the secret glances Taehyung was throwing on her. He was acting weird such as stealing glances at her, chuckling to himself and all. But even she was not better, from stealing glances at him to stealing a picture of him.

They went straight to Taehyung's home, to give this little surprise to his mother. As expected, Kim Aera was more than surprised and thankful for the gift. But this time, Taehyung didn't hold back. Jennie watched him let out few tears, seeing his mother happy.

Jennie was happy too!

The next day, Jennie was excited to meet Taehyung back at Kim Holdings. But much to her disappointment, Kim Aera was the one present instead of her son. Unfortunately, Taehyung had some important meeting to attend.

"This year's event will be grand than last year's" Her co-worker said, as she took her designated seat. "Who is Kang Seulgi's groom?" A young man asked, taking all of their attention, after going through the list Jennie had given him. "It's missing"

"I was going to tell you about that" Everyone turned to Aera when she started speaking, even Jennie, but it certainly was not something she was expecting to hear. "My son, Kim Taehyung, will marry Kang Seulgi"

...

Jennie wanted nothing but the ground to split open and swallow her as a whole. She wanted someone to point to the camera and yell it was a joke. But, she got nothing.

Nothing except congratulations in the air.

Everyone cheered around her, obviously happy to know that, their CEO is going to get married soon. But Kim Aera didn't stop there. "Seulgi's a good girl. I've known her since she was a kid. Taehyung and Seulgi were childhood friends too. Seulgi's a perfect girl for my son"

Jennie started packing her bags when Aera ended, fearing that she would speak again. And she was right. "...They are on a date as we speak..."

Slinging the bag on her shoulder, Jennie walked outside to her car, without a word to anyone. Tears were streaming down her face, endlessly, like the raindrops which were now pouring down. But she felt hollow.

Everything, every single thing, she'd done was haunting her, coming back like the roaring giant waves, drowning her down, choking her till she was breathless.

Everything she'd built had exploded to mere dust, that the playful wind blowed around her.

Emptiness.

The state of containing nothing.

But it was what now filling inside her, completing her mund, soul and body.

An alexithymic.

"I'll speak to Aera" In-na told Jennie, her voice softer. "Don't be upset" But Jennie shaked her head no, before speaking up. "No imo" She gulped down the lump in her throat. "Taehyung's mother was right. He might even prefer it that way"

In-na watched in utter pain, her niece breaking down in front of her and she couldn't do nothing at all!

"Seulgi is a sweet girl" Jennie continued. "I will never hurt her. Once I'd expressed my feelings, but he rejected me. I can't bear the pain if he rejects me again. If we're meant to be, we would"

Jennie bursted into tears. She couldn't hold it in her anymore. This was it. The much awaited ending of her love story.

But not a happy one.
