"I'M walking home!" Jennie declared, her voice coming out with frustration. 10 minutes has passed since their car broke down. Unforunately for her, her father wasa doctor.

They were coming back home from attending a marriage function of a family friend and it was late in the evening. Not a single taxi passed by in the last 10 minutes!

As Jennie took her first step forward, leaving her parents to tend to the car, someone spoke from behind her. "What happened doctor?"

"Oh, Taehyung" Her father's two words had Jennie turning on her heels, coming back instantly. "Something's wrong with the car"

Jennie took her time in observing Taehyung. He was wearing a black on black suit, probably coming back from work, his hair messy but still looking handsome as ever.

"Get in, I'll drop you off" Taehyung offered with a sweet smile. "Thank you" Jaeho thanked him, before three of them buckled up in his car. As Jennie plopped down on the backseat, her mother took a seat beside her. "Aren't you walking back home?" Her mother smirked. Jennie shrugged it off before staring at Taehyung through the rearview mirror.

"Where were you coming from?" Taehyung asked, starting a conversation. "On our way back from Minho's daughter's wedding. You know him right?" Her father added.

"I heard" Taehyung replied. "A record dowry was given right?" Jaeho nodded in agreement. Apparently, Minho had bought himself an expensive son-in-law!

"I hate people like them, giving or receiving dowry..." Taehyung huffed. But before Jaeho could reply to that, a police officer stepped in front of their car, stopping them.
"Park the car"

"Where are you heading off to?" The officer questioned, his eyes roaming around them. "Home" Taehyung answered after a little hesitation. "Take the car documents and show it to chief" Officer commanded, pointing towards the chief of police. Jennie cringed inwardly as she remembered that moment when she mistook the chief as Taehyung once.

Jennie watched Taehyung, who hadn't even bothered to make any movement in accordance instead he simply gave the documents to the officer. "Why are you not getting out?" The officer growled. "Are your legs paralyzed?"

Jennie let out an inaudible gasp at the officer's comment. "Who's the chief?" Taehyung asked, still unbothered with everything. "Is it Baekhyun?"

"You dare address him by his name?" The officer accused. "What is it Chanyeol?" The chief shouted from nearby. "Someone named Kim Taehyung. He finds it difficult to step out from the car" The officer answered.

A look of recognition and horror passed the chief's face. "Why are you forcing then? Let him go!" The chief's reply had the officer gawking at Taehyung in confusion and little fear. An impressed smile was plastered on Jennie's face as she watched the drama unwinding before her.

"Should I step out now?" Taehyung asked in a dangerously smooth voice, a smirk playing on his lips. "No, it's alright!" The officer smiled uncomfortably, giving the documents back to Taehyung.

"Do you know the chief?" Jaeho asked as soon as Taehyung stepped on the gas. "Yes" Taehyung replied. "We had a mild clash before. Both of us were in a rest for some days.." Taehyung explained. "...he was in hospital and I was in jail"

If Jennie was impressed before, she was more than impressed at Taehyung now. He was getting more and more her kind of type now. The angelic devil!

Gulping down a glass of water, Jennie jumped onto the couch, making herself comfortable. She was tired after the journey but was very much happy in seeing Taehyung. "Appa, how much will you give my husband to be?" She asked her father, remembering the conversation earlier.

"What sort of question is that?" Her father asked, unbuttoning the collar button of his shirt. "All my assets belongs to you, isn't it?" He answered. "I'll give him everything"

Jennie's eyebrows shot up in a frown, her face screaming disappointment. "You mustn't give a single penny" She disagreed. "And if someone likes that comes, let him get married to omma!"

Her little tantrums had Jaeho bursting out into laughter. "Just go and sleep Lee Jennie" Misun stated, irritated with her husband and daughter. With one last glimpse at his daughter, Jaeho went to his room, following behind his wife, with a sweet smile on his face.

Jennie was a heavy sleeper. She literally slept like a log. But the sleep goddess abandoned her, when she had a dream.

A dream where she was speechless at her friend, Lalisa's question.

The question was this - Does she knows where Taehyung lives?

So Jennie decided to find where Taehyung lives.

"Dongwook-ah, how many times I've to tell you to come back to Korea?" Jaeho's loud voice greeted Jennie when she was ready to go out to find Taehyung's house. She shaked her head hearing her father's comment. Apparently, she had been hearing the same dialogue for years now!

Humming a tune, Jennie walked to the door but before her father's voice stopped her. "Where are you off to?"

"Going out to see someone" Jennie answered. "It's about to rain now" Her father retorted.

"I'll come back before it rains" Placing a kiss on her father's cheek, Jennie sprinted out to her bike.

Jennie stopped the bike near a pedestrian, asking him Kim Taehyung's house. As expected, she was not at all surprised as the man knew the way. Parking her bike, Jennie gazed at the green meadow that separated her from Taehyung's house. A sigh of pure bliss left her lips as she stood in the middle of the field, cool breeze playing with her teddy bear brown hair.

But before Jennie could take one step ahead, the splattering rain ruined it. It poured down endlessly, making her new dress drenched in wetness. She moved her eyes between her bike and Taehyung's house, deciding where to go. As she started running towards her bike, a deep voice stopped her in her tracks.

"Why are you here?" Taehyung stared at her intensely, his eyes held a mixture of emotions, which she couldn't decipher. He was in a black sweatpants and grey hoodie, a red umbrella in his hand. Before Jennie could think her words through, she blurted out. "I came to see the rain"

"To see the rain?" Taehyung scowled, not at all believe one word she told. "Go home then!"

Nodding, Jennie turned around to sprint but he sto her again. "Wait" He said, before walking towards her, taking each step in elegance. Jennie's heart pounded faster with each step he took towards her, making her dizzy with the sound of her own heartbeat. The heartbeats only skyrocketed when he moved his umbrella over her head, grabbing her trembling hand and gripping it on the umbrella in a tight hold, before sprinting to his house, leaving wild Jennie behind.

Jennie didn't even remember how she reached back home. But she did remember the loud pounding of heart and the weird feeling in her stomach.

Oh boy, Lee Jennie was badly in love!

The next day, Jennie visited Taehyung's house while he was not there. She met with his mother and had even wrote a small poem to impress her future mother-in-law.

Not only that, Jennie had been practicing taekwondo, which resulted in utter pain, when she decided to try a high kick from the stairs! She also paid a visit to Hoseok with a bike equipment which he wanted to fix my bike.

Much to the surprise of Jaeho, everyone who once complained about Jennie had started praising her, that included her school principal too! Also, he had seen Jennie watching news and reading newspaper. Misun, on the other hand, was very proud to see Jennie often in the kitchen. She was a cooking expert now!

Much to her dismay, Jennie had only seen Taehyung twice that week. First when he visited their house with his mother to consult her doctor father and second when she was waiting in the bus stop. Both the times, he had not even spared a glance at her.

But Jennie was happy with everything. Her parents too. Something or someone had sparked a change in their daughter's life!
