Lavanya gulped seeing the murderous look in Mohan's eyes and she yanked her hand out of his grip to free herself as she took a few steps back but ended up colliding with someone.

She turned and was surprised seeing Nandini glaring at her as she walked up to Mohan and stood by him.

A confused Lavanya turned to Mohan and she finally obeserved him properly.

Gone was his pale skin and dark circles under his eyes and the man standing in front of him wasn't a man who needed assistance walking to the bathroom or taking his bath a few months earlier.

Mohan looked like a healthy man and Mohan who read her thoughts smirked which confused and scared Lavanya at the same time.

"Wondering why the poor, weak Mohan is already standing without any assistance? " Mohan asked in a mocking tone as he took a few steps towards Lavanya and stood in front of her smirking and the others looked on confused. "I was never sick Lavanya. " Lavanya's mouth opened wide in shock as Mohan continued. "It was all my plan to get you away from my family and make you broke and I had my good friend Nandini here to help with everything. "

Nandini smirked watching Lavanya stumbled in shock and fell down with no one helping up.

She looked up at Mohan almost on the verge of tears as she saw Nandini with a smirk on her lips join Mohan.

" Lavanya cried out now in tears and Nandini scoffed as Mohan stared at her in disgust.

" Mohan turned staring at the family with Payal and Khushi having tears in their eyes.

Isha was fuming and Ajay who saw this side hug her by the waist knowing she is prone to explosions when her role as a mother is undermined and Mohan doing what he did undermined her perception of her role as a mother.

"Lavanya I saw all the envious look you threw at Khushi di and Arnav bhai when you see them together and I immediately knew your so called closure was all a lie....... I intentionally tolerated you to see how far you will go and the night before we left, I found how crazy you really were. "

Mohan who had realised Lavanya wasn't what she seems to be because of how she reacted to Arnav and Khushi's closeness and PDA's during the carnival they went to on the mainland.

He was about to enter Lavanya's room when she saw Lavanya hyperventilating and was about to rush towards but the words from her mouth shocked him.

If she is pregnant then I have to find a way to get rid of that baby....... The only child Arnav will have is with me...... Mohan turned to Arnav and folded his hand with a remorseful look on his face which melted Arnav and his initial angry towards Mohan faded away.

"Am sorry for causing your to be in such an uncomfortable situation but I had to do it to get Lavanya out and protect my baby niece or nephew. "

Arnav nodded at his apology but felt Khushi's anger and Lavanya who was raging stood up, matched up to Mohan, turned him around and slapped him.

She held his collar and started yelling at him like a maniac.

"How dare you set me up?..... How dare you? "

Lavanya let go off him and raised her hand to slap him again but a hand held hers and shoved her onto the floor.

Lavanya looked up and saw Nandini fuming at her.

"I had to protect my family....... Seeing how unhinged you really are, I had to make sure you have no means to hurt my family so I came up with a plan to leave you bankrupt...... That's why I approached Nandini my good friend since high school and made up a plan about me having kidney failure........ Nandini's words shocked everyone especially Lavanya who knew she was trapped real good.

She crawled up to Mohan and held his jeans crying.

"Mohan please forgive me and save me...... You are the only one who can save me...... Please convince your mother or ASR to help me pay them back or else they will kill me and you know that they are really deadly people....... Am sorry for playing with your feelings......please help me please"

Mohan yanked his leg off her grip and took a few steps away from her.

"You expect me to help you after you tried to hurt my family....... Never Lavanya..... Never. "

Lavanya flinched hearing Mohan yell at her and she knew he meant it so she turned her attention towards Arnav who was holding Khushi and she rushed to him but before she could get to him and Khushi, Isha grabbed her arms, turned her around and slapped her.

Isha yanked Lavanya's hair making her yelp because of the sudden pain.

"I will make you pay dearly for breaking my son's heart. " Mohan was stunned hearing Isha refer to him as his son after all the pain he caused her and his eyes teared up. "You will regret the day dared show your face to my family..... You wait and watch."

Lavanya shuddered to the rage in Isha's eyes and she pulled Lavanya towards the center table, picked up her phone and called her guards who immediately arrived in the house.

She pushed lavanya towards them and the held onto a scared Lavanya who was trying to escape but was of no match to their strength.

"Take her to the warehouse and don't give her water or food for two days until I decided what to do with her." Isha commanded and they nodded and dragged a screaming Lavanya out.

Everyone was overwhelmed with what had happened but soon it turned to anger especially Isha.

She matched up to Mohan and slapped him twice and he accepted silently as he knew he deserved it for causing his family pain with his decisions.

"Was I such a bad mother that you couldn't tell me the truth....... Do you have any idea the tears I spilled for you not knowing where you were....... You missed out on your sister's engagement with Aman. " Mohan was surprised and turned to Payal,looked down at her finger and saw an emerald and diamond encrusted ring on her finger. "Missed out on seeing your father walk again and look how far Khushi's pregnancy has come...... You missed all that for that wretched woman....... I will never forgive you for this. "

Isha walked away leaving a crying Mohan who was calling out to her but she turned a deaf ears and what hurts him more was Ajay who threw a disappointed look at him as he followed Isha leaving the others behind.

One by one, the family left him leaving only Shashi behind.

"Hari Prakash? " Shashi called out and he run up to him. "Prepare two rooms for them. " HP nodded and signalled his brothers to follow him.

Shashi walked up to Mohan and helped him up.

"I understand what you did but you could have used another method that didn't entail hurting the family...... I witnessed how much your sisters missed you....... Your mother may be good at hiding her emotions from the others but not with Ajay and I and she was devastated especially when the best private investigators in the country couldn't find you....... They need time and you have to be patient because their anger will not go away in a day...... You have to prepare for their hostility and silent treatment. "

Shashi tapped his shoulders and also walked away to his room leaving only him and Nandini.

"It hurts so much. " Mohan cried to Nandini.

Nandini shook her head and wiped his tears with both hands.

Mohan hugged his best friend crying and Nandini reciprocated.

Outskirts Of Delhi.

Nani and Mami watched Anjali singing with the children of the orphan and they smiled at each other.

"If I had raised Anjali into the independent, kind and hardworking woman she is today, she wouldn't have gotten involved with Shyam, she would have appreciated all that Chote did for her and found a better man and lived happily ever after.
