Shyam smirked hearing this and this didn't go unnoticed by Akash was staring at him the whole time and he began to understand this man is indeed the culprit responsible of his brother's kidnapping and the accusations against him by Payal was without a doubt true.

"Chote but why? " Anjali asked concerned with a sad look on her face. "You and Khushi love each other..... Please don't do this. "

Anjali started her repulsive act of tears display and this made Arnav cringed and Anjali noticed it which left her stunned.

He ignored her and looked back at the others and this hurt Anjali who was taken aback seeing this and this also was noticed by the others who looked more confused.

"We are breaking up because Khushi and I realized we need to work on ourselves to make our relationship work...... We have centered others in our relationship to an extent that we lost ourselves and I  for the majority of it made unforgivable mistakes and hurt Khushi for people who never deserved an ounce of love from me ....... I will appreciate it if you all respect our decision and from now on no one and I mean no one should interfere in my life. " Arnav warned looking at Anjali in particular and she was taken aback and this didn't go unnoticed by the whole family.

"It's good to know you made the right choice....... This girl is not of your status and we will find you a girl worthy of our status. " Dadi offered her unsolicited words and Arnav glared at her and left Khushi's hand.

He walked up to her and she gulped seeing the hatred and anger in his eyes.

"You better listen to me very carefully Sudhadra Malik, you came to this house for your granddaughter and you better keep you unwanted opinions to yourself when it comes to me and you better dish it out to your pathetic granddaughter....... Long have I let selfish, ungrateful and pathetic people run my life and they are not entirely at fault because I let them....... This is your final warning, stay out of my life..... Understood. " Arnav bellowed and everyone excluding Khushi, Payal and Nk flinched.

Nk smiled proudly at Arnav whereas Payal was stunned and happy seeing him stand up for Khushi.

A part of her felt jealous but she shook it off knowing her sister deserves it all because of the pain and hurt she had to go through for her.

Nani, Mami and Anjali on the other hand knew this was aimed at them.

Nani and Anjali began to feel remorseful but Mami was fuming and glare at Payal who turned feeling a gaze.

She saw Mami staring at her in anger and she knew she was going to direct her anger to her soon enough.

"Good now I have an excuse to give you a taste of your own medicine..... You wait and watch how I will break you before I leave this house. " Payal thought glaring at Mami and Akash looked on helplessly seeing his mother and wife having nothing but hatred in their eyes for each other.

He realised his failure and a part of him felt that he had lost Payal for good but he wasn't going to give up on winning Payal back.

"I have to start winning Payal back and it will start with speaking to maa. " Akash thought looking from his mother to his wife.

Buaji and Garima were lost of words hearing what Arnav said and buaji walked up to Khushi but Arnav stood in between them blocking buaji from reaching Khushi.

"Arnav beta stay out of this.... This is between Khushi and I. " Buaji warned looking confident but deep down she was nervous and this was felt by Arnav.

"I know you are about to spew your venom against Khushi like you and your sister in law have always done." Garima bowed her head in shame and remorse hearing Arnav's truthful accusation. "But I will be damned if I allow you abuse her again...... I know you are concerned about what your so-called gossip good for nothing friends and society might say about you when Khushi returns but you don't have to worry because Khushi is not going back with you. " Garima and Buaji including the others stared at him stunned and perplexed. "She will be going away to a place where she will be free of you and you sister in law's venom and babuji will be going with her and I dare you two stop it. "

The coldness of his threat sent shivers down their spines and Shashi smiled happy that he will be staying with his little princess.

He felt a hand touch his hand and he knew who it belonged to.

It was his eldest daughter whom no matter how angry she was at Khushi will always defend her.

He remembered the day he gain his hope of Payal always defending Khushi.

Flashback.

Shashi glared at his sister and wife who refused to let Khushi in after receiving Akash and Payal.

Payal glared at her mother and aunt and run after Khushi.

Shashi was happy seeing Payal running behind Khushi but a part of him felt Akash wasn't a real man when he didn't scold them but rather accepted the refreshment they offered him and he said nothing when the two women started bad mouthing Khushi.

Fifteen minutes later, Payal barged into the house and glared at Akash and ordered him to wait in the car, she then went off on a shocked Garima and Buaji.

"You two make me sick..... I understand that she disappointed all of us by eloping but she is still family and until you two start behaving good to her, I don't want anything to do with you and I will make sure everyone knows I have disowned the two of you. "

Shashi felt proud of her and watched her walk up to him and kneeled.

Payal held his hand kissed it with tears in her eyes.

"Am sorry babuji but I have to leave and until they don't apologize and Khushi forgives them, I won't step a foot here and I hope you understand. "

Shashi smiled and blinked his eyes at her.

Payal kissed his forehead and left the house as buaji and Garima had no other choice than to invite Khushi over and apologize.

Flashback ends.

"I know Khushi will take very good care of you and don't worry, now I have opened my eyes and know it's better to kill myself for grateful people like you, and Khushi because if I can slave and be told I did nothing for some ungrateful people in this house, then I will die for the two of you. "

Shashi smiled at her whilst the family except Arnav and Nk were taken aback by her indirect insult and the most affected was Akash.

He felt cold shivers run down his spine seeing the disgust in Payal's eyes saying that and his heart mocked him saying his marriage was over but he shrugged it off as they were going through rough times like any other marriage but only if he knew his marriage was officially over, he wouldn't have shrugged that feeling off.

Mami on the other hand was fuming hearing this and vowed to make her life unfortunately for her she was about to lose everything because of what Payal was about to do to her soon.

Nani and Anjali felt devastated seeing the family fall apart and Anjali started blaming herself as she remembered what she had planned with Shyam and Mami which lead them here.

Flashback.

"Shyamji I miss you so much. " Anjali cried over the phone and Shyam consoled her.

"Stop crying Ranisaheba, you know it's not good for our princess and I can't come back as long as Khushi like es in that house..... Please take care of yourself and I will find the evidence that proves that I wasn't the one who kidnapped Arnav and that just like she and Nk were looking for Arnav, I was also doing my own investigation after I found it strange that Arnav was calling from an Indian number and not an Australian number like he would have of he was indeed in Australia..... If I knew Khushi and Nk were also investigating my suspicion, then I would have joined them and all this misunderstanding wouldn't have happened but as long as Khushi is in RM, it will never happen..... Until I find evidence that I am innocent of the crime they accused me off and Khushi is out of the house, I can't come home to you and our princess and I can't take you with me because our house is not ready and all my salary and savings have gone into the house since I found out you were pregnant. "

Anjali gasped in shock hearing her husband's words.

"Shyamji, if all your savings has gone into the house, then where have you been staying for the past two weeks? "

Anjali heard Shyam sigh and she knew he was unable terrible place.

"Please shyamji don't like either me..... Tell me where you are. " She begged and the answer Shyam gave her sent shivers down her spine.

"Sangam vihar colony. "

Anjali immediately started crying because she knew it was one of the worst slums in India.

Shyam consoled but she wasn't consoled and she got an idea which she knew will not only push Arnav to kick Khushi out but will make the family isolate Khushi even more than now and if Arnav doesn't kick her out, Khushi herself will leave and she had the perfect person to help her and that was Mami who's hatred for the Gupta sisters have increased since the incident.

She told Shyam who at first refused but agreed for her sake and the trio planned to make Anjali pretend to get an abortion.

Mami will convince Nani to go out and she will send Payal to her friend's house which is about six to eight hours back and forth and after Nani and Payal has left home, she will also leave the house leaving HP in charge of Anjali and Anjali will refuse and this will make Khushi sad if she finds out and after the abortion attempt, it will make her feel worse.

The plan went as planned and even better when Khushi gave to Anjali's room to make her eat.

Anjali then waited at the hospital knowing Arnav or Akash will find her at the hospital because she left the house with Mohan the driver and he will surely make her location known to them and as planned the family went loose on Khushi when Arnav bought her home and helped her to his room together with the family and after a while she pretended to be asleep.

A few seconds after the family left, she heard Mami yelling at Khushi and arguing with Payal who was defending Khushi like always and she sneaked out and stood upstairs watching the exchange between Mami and Payal.

"Payal watch how you speak to my mother. " Akash yelled and Payal yelled back at him.

"Or what will you do. " Akash looked taken aback and shocked. "What will you do huh?..... Threaten to divorce but I will help you do that by divorcing you myself." everyone including Anjali was shocked by her words. "Here you are all attacking my sister when she did nothing but care about your sister when no one in his family cared about her. "

" Payal beta isn't not true..... We all care about Anjali. " Nani retorted and Payal scoffed.

"If you really care about Anjali then you wouldn't have thought visiting your so called friends was important than her and if your so called daughter in law here care about Anjali, she couldn't have gone for a spa treatment and left Hari Prakaskji to take care of her so please stop with your lies because it doesn't suit you....... Your daughter in law claims she went to her room to mock her but Hari Prakaskji is a witness and recorded the conversation between Khushi and Anjali because even he knew you will all blame her if something happened to you beloved Anjali when you two never cared about her. "

Anjali and Mami looked shocked and Nani, Nk, Arnav, Khushi and Akash looked confused.

HP rushed and switched his phone on and played the video where Khushi was begging Anjali to eat and even promising to leave the house and Arnav's life if she eat.

Arnav looked at Khushi shocked and she bowed her head to avoid his accusing and hurt gaze.

Akash felt remorseful for not defending Khushi but it immediately vanished as he blamed Khushi for all this.

Anjali and Mami knew their plan flopped seeing this and they both cursed HP for taking that video.

"Since all of you have seen the evidence of my wife's innocence, Mrs Devyani Singh Raizada, I will tell you to warn your daughter in law against accusing my wife because next time, I won't think twice about kicking her out of this house. " Arnav yelled making everyone flinch and this shocked Anjali hearing Arnav threatening to kick Mami out and Mami became as pale as a ghost hearing this. "Anjali made her choice to abortion her own child and it was her choice and not my wife's...... She doesn't deserve to be a mother because she is capable of murder because she is hurt..... From today onwards, I end my pity and empathy for her and  I will continue to take care of her financially but it ends there and I tell you all the truth, that child should  go to another kind woman who deserves to be a mother....... But what do I expect from Ratna Malik's daughter...... Like mother like daughter but the only difference is that she was going to kill her baby because of her husband's betrayal while Ratna killed herself because she couldn't stand her husband's betrayal and she selfishly left two children behind scaring them for life. "

Arnav held Khushi's hand and dragged her to his room leaving the family behind.

Nk walked up to Payal and held her hand as he dragged her to his room and they all knew it was to protect her.

Akash angrily walked to his room seeing this and Nani sadly walked to hers which was down stairs because of her weak knees.

Mami angrily walked to her room seeing the plan fail totally oblivious of Anjali crying and running to her room.

She cried and begged God for forgiveness for what she had done but God didn't listen but instead punished her.

Four days after her conspiracy, Anjali woke up to a painful abdominal pain and she lifted her blanket to find her white night gown stained with blood.

She had had a miscarriage and this broke everyone.

Arnav never went closer to Anjali as he had promised but financially payed for her hospital bills.

Khushi was never home as Arnav always made sure to take her along to his office.

Payal and Nk avoided the family and she stopped cooking and taking care of the family and the only time she cooked was for Arnav, Nk, Khushi or herself and she had seen Payal and Akash fight countless times because of this and Payal always supported her sister.

Ten days after her miscarriage and three days after Anjali was discharged, Sudhadra Malik aka Dadi come to the house with Shyam which shocked everyone.

Arnav matched up to Shyam and slapped him and dragged him by his shirt and the family including Dadi.

"You have some nerve showing your face and stepping into my house. " Arnav yelled and Shyam bowed his head as tears cascaded down his cheeks.

"He didn't want to but I blackmailed him to come here because your sister needs him now more than ever and I realized you all don't care about Anjali's wellbeing but I do. " Dadi said in an authoritative tone and Arnav pushed Shyam who fell on the floor and Anjali limped up to him and together with Akash, they helped him up.

"You care so much and yet you did nothing to stop you criminal son from kicking us out........ I was the only one who cared...... I was young and yet I had to shoulder the responsibility of this family alone....... I did everything for Anjali and when she did nothing but order me around and like a fool I let her because I cared about her which nearly cost me my happiness...... I hurt innocent people just to make her happy but no more...... I know this entire family will blindly make me the villain in her life and am done....... He can stay and so can you but you better listen to very carefully Mrs Anjali Jha...... You are dead to me. " Everyone was shocked hearing this but Anjali was happy but hearing Arnav warn that he no longer wants anything to do with her hurt her feelings.

And as Arnav promised, he did exactly that, all her credit cards were blocked and her access to her bank accounts were also blocked.

They had to depend on Akash which she knew Payal wasn't happy with but she needed his help since Shyam was now broke and has refused to let Akash help him finish their house.

Even though she was happy with the presence of Shyam and the support of Dadi, mami and Akash, it didn't feel the same as Arnav, Khushi, Payal and Nk always avoided them like plague and Nani hasn't spoken since Shyam arrived.

The day Arnav and Khushi announced their remarriage, she was overjoyed and show this as a way to make it up to his brother but now it was all ruined by their separation and she couldn't help but blame herself for it.
