BURNING FURY OF THE LIONESS
Eyes ablaze, shedding daggers on the man in front of her, Jiwon clenched her fist, her nails digging deep into her flesh. "Ms. Park, how can a judge go missing after Jeon's case?" demanded Lee Chang Soo, the chief attorney of the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office.
"Mr. Lee, I was just defending my client, as that's what my job entails. As for Mr. Kim Sae Jun, I don't know where he is," she exclaimed, her authority and confidence evident in her voice.
"There is no assurance in your statement, Ms. Park," the chief muttered, his eyes boring into Jiwon intently.
"I am not here to assure your concerns, Mr. Lee. I am here to do my job, and I am doing it well. I would suggest you stop nagging me," Jiwon retorted, unabashed and unbothered.
"I see, Ms. Park, you have quite the influence to be this daring in front of your chief prosecutor," Chang Soo said, stepping forward towards the daring, fiery woman who feared nothing.
"You don't even know how daring I am, Mr. Lee. I won't hesitate to destroy you," she muttered, raising her eyebrows in smugness, her confidence evident in every word.
"PARK JIWON—" the respected chief stammered, sweat forming on his forehead, revealing a dark side of the law prosecutor.
"SHUT IT, Lee. I know your easy drug dealer has died, and now you're like a dog squirming for a new bone," she roared, her hands smacking loudly on the table, echoing with the sound of feminine dominance.
"What-wha—" Words stumbled out of his mouth, his voice wavering as anxiety crept in. He was known for his legal talent, which hid his vicious darkness.
A smirk curled on Jiwon's lips. She folded her arms across her chest and scoffed, "I know your roots, Lee, so better stay in your lane. I can be the witch that swirls around your whole world in a blink." She stepped closer to the trembling, sweaty man and whispered savagely in his ear, "Park Jiwon can destroy anyone. My hands hold the flames of annihilation, Lee, so be aware of the queen."
She moved away, dusting off his shoulders with a mocking smile. "Smile, Lee Chang Soo. You are the chief prosecutor and a small, petty man." Her glaring gaze burned into his figure as she mocked a salute and stepped outside of the office, her steps graceful and authentic, screaming elegance.
PARK JIWON'S POV
Motherfucker kill but leave their shit for me to handle.
I am not his doll to manage his dirty games. That beast is always on my nerves, feels like he scrapes my skin with violent brutality. Bitch is too hard to handle.
I sigh and ruffle my long, silky hair to relieve some of the stress that has built up in my brain. That fucking Jeon Jeongguk needs some brains to realize that it's not good to kill the judge right after the case. Let it have a moment, man.
If I hadn't known that this chief and that judge were involved in drugs, it would have been a hell of a ride for me to cope with.
I fucking hate his demon brain. Whole kills like a psychopath, dude. But isn't he a psychopath?
He kills for pleasure without any remorse on his face. I hate how his sadistic smirk widens over the deceit of every target he torments. His soul is so dark that beautiful roses wither in his presence; his demeanor always crawls under my skin.
His eyes betray my prestige, engulfing me in his ruthlessness.
He is Immoral. Vicious. Malevolent.
And so fucking annoying, ordering me around like I am his puppet that needs to follow his every demand. His cold eyes rush my nerves with anger, his gaze always unforgiving.
His depravity is mysterious, an unknown dark dread—always hiding what's beneath his dark soul, hiding the conspiracy that shouldn't be allowed for anyone to know.
My blood boils so damn bad. Hating him won't profit me anything, but damaging his ego would definitely satisfy my soul. He is a bloodthirsty demon, so violent and filled with sadism. I hate the way his face blooms with all the pride he has under his name. No one can defeat this beast, but—I don't know why—my hands crave to crawl over his skin, scrape out the cruelty he shows, and fucking show him that sinister bastards like him have to be fucking aware.
I don't follow rules; I torment and manipulate them to my execution. I make my rules that should be respected in every fucking aspect.
My steps stumble when a veiny, strong hand stops in front of me, holding a chocolate.
Rich dark chocolate? That's my favorite, though.
I look up to see who it is, and my breath catches in my throat. Standing before me is Jungkook, Jeongguk's twin brother, the CEO. His short hair, neatly styled, gives him a dashing, almost princely look. He's dressed in a tailored suit that accentuates his broad shoulders and lean frame, exuding an aura of power and elegance.
"Miss Park," his rich, deep voice calls my name. I smile at the endearment in his voice.
"Jeon Jungkook, the super-talented CEO? What's the occasion that brought you to the doors of law?" I ask, folding my hands in front of my chest. He chuckles, takes off his black shades, and meets my gaze with efficiency.
"I don't need occasions to meet you, Miss Park. Did you forget about our date?" He tilts his head just like his demon brother, but while Jeongguk only knows how to smirk like a demon, this Jeon Jungkook is a devil with a dominant face that... allures me?
I shake off my thoughts and step forward to the man in front of me, reaching for the rich dark chocolate in his hand. He lifts it up, surprising me, and raises his cunning brow with smugness.
"Sweetness takes a price to be taken, Miss Park. Why not pay for it and savor the sweet and sour taste?" His deep, dominating yet softly caressing voice retorts.
I let out a laugh, my eyes crinkling with amusement. He looks surprised, but then his luscious lips lift in a smirk, his savage, dominating features admiring something about my face.
"You do know how to set the mood, huh?" I say with arrogance in my voice.
"It's just for the person I want to go on a date with," he smirks, stepping closer to me.
Imperious. Tactical. Cunning.
A smooth talker who knows how to influence, huh?
"You're quite determined to take me on a date, Mr. Jeon. What's the reason for these amendments?" I flutter my lashes, leaning closer to his face, which adorns a sovereign smile, making his face even more eminent.
"I don't waste time on reasons. If I want to conquer, I will do it with my efficiency, Ms. Park. And you are something that commands authority and perseverance—I am intrigued to know more about you," he says, his eyes dark, his voice assertive and demanding.
My smirk widens as I pull out my black sunglasses and put them over my sharp nose, staring at my date for the day.
This is going to be fun.
