2 years passed ... Maria became 12 years old and a lil taller than shadow ... Their relationship got more stronger ... and every day they do a lot of stuff together...

In one day .. Gerald was talking to the government of planet mobius about his "project" ... the government were always warning gerald to stop this project or he'll meet his fate ... because they saw that gerald took the "book of demons body structure and powers" when he was ready to go in space to do research on space planets ...

 but they didn't know he "escaped" from them or as they say "betrayed" them ... gerald escaped with his very young granddaughter with the book with the spaceship of him and went to live there in space ... away from the government...so he can raise his own granddaughter and create "using the book" the "ultimate life form" a hedgehog demon...a pure heart demon to be with maria ... to protect her and raise her ... when he's gone...

gerald knows that he'll be killed by the government ... but he ignores every single warning they sent to him ... he's only going to put all his work .. all his hope...and all his life in creating this .. creature...and not only to protect his granddaughter... 

but also to protect "the world" from the forces of evil...along with the government...the "real" enemy for gerald .. and will be soon...shadow's "Real enemies" too ...this "G.U.N government" are the evilest mobius people in the whole planet...they're taking myth and supernatural animal mobians to do research and experiments on them...to know from where they get powers and immortality...(for some of them)..

And soon as they knew gerald will create a supernatural "dangerous" creature...they freaked out because they knew gerald is the smartest and genius guy in the government and will create a creature that'll be against them ...

In this morning...Gerald had a lot of warning messages from the government saying that they'll kill him if he won't stop working on his project ...but they didn't know that gerald already created the "ultimate life form" and he's living secretly in the space colony ark ... the spaceship of gerald ...

Gerald didn't want to freak out shadow or maria that soon..he'll be gone...so he just kept it a secret for himself...

Shadow & maria were in a random room chatting ...

Maria(12 years old): now..let's make a preview for what we learned about good people and friends! ... what do you know about friendship?

Shadow: friends?... uhh...having some kind of a relationship where friends can have fun together?..

Maria: that's a good answer...*smiles*

Shadow: *smiles*

Maria: what do you know about good intentions?

Shadow: uhh ..being kind to others ... helping others...being loyal and friendly...

Maria: good answer brother! You're learning fast!

Shadow: thanks sister..

They took a while until they finish ... and now ... it's midnight and maria is going to sleep...shadow was awake just looking at the stars...wondering about how can life be in planet mobius ... and then .. gerald came from his lab ..he noticed shadow is standing alone ...and came to talks with him...

Gerald: Shadow?

Shadow: *turns around* doctor? You're still awake...it's not from your usuals...

Gerald: i was dealing with some things in my lab but ... where's maria?

Shadow: she went to sleep..

Gerald: ohh—alright then..and what are you doing here *pats him*

Shadow: just watching the stars..

Gerald: you want to live there aren't you?

Shadow: and ... how do you know?

Gerald: Shadow ... your demonic desires are telling you that you want to try something new ... something you can try to learn more about yourself .. and your powers...

Shadow: I guess ... that's how i feel ...

Gerald: well ... you can go there ... unless you'll promise me to protect your sister and raise her ... and look after her ...

Shadow: i *gives a soft smile* I promise you Doctor 

Gerald: *smiles* alright ... think you don't need any naps or take some rest?

Shadow: no .. i'll be fine here .. with the space ...

Gerald: alright then .. see you in the morning 

Shadow:*went to gerald* WAIT!  

Gerald: ??

Shadow: *hugs him* thanks ... for everything ...Doctor Gerald...

Gerald: You're welcome .. Shadow 

In the next day in the morning ... Maria wakes up and went to play and chat with shadow ... Gerald was still anxious about the government and their "serious" warnings ... But he doesn't pay any attention only for his kids ....

But some kind of an alert it was strong...and it made the space colony ARK go crazy ...

Maria: *screams* WHAT'S THAT!!!

Shadow: WHAT'S GOING ON DOCTOR?!?!

Gerald: KIDS!! STAY HERE!! I'LL GO CHECK THE PROBLEM 

Maria: *hugs shadow and afraid*

Shadow: *pats her head* it's alright ... I'm here with you ... 

Maria: *still afraid*

After some time ... gerald shuts down the alert system ... and he gets a call from the Commander...

After 10 minutes with the kids...

Shadow: uhh...Maria listen... i'll go to the doctor and check out on him...

Maria: but grandpa said .. no body moves...

Shadow: don't you noticed that everything went to normal in just some minutes?

Maria: yes but...

Shadow: maria ... i sense of something isn't right is going with the doctor ...

Maria: i don't know but ... grandpa didn't told us about anything wrong is going with him..

Shadow: I think he's hiding something from us...

Maria: really? *serious face*

Shadow: maria I'm not joking ... I'm talking seriously ... i feel he's hiding something from us ...

Maria: alright alright ... i get ...But .. should we go to him?

Shadow: hold my hand and let's go together ...

Maria: alright .... *holds his hand*

They went to the door of the lab ... and suddenly...

Gerald: *opens the door to go out of his lab*

Shadow: d-doctor?!?

Maria: grandpa..?? You look ... serious ... is there something wrong?!?!

Gerald: Shadow ... get inside my lab ... we'll start training you on your powers and maria ... go get my tools I'll start working on something ...and then get inside my lab..

Shadow/Maria: *stare at each other* ...
