Flashback

At the Bloom Industries, Pepper Bloom is in the laboratory, gently holding her hand over a Bunsen burner. She looks at the flame with a small smile.

Her boss, Dr. Steiner, slowly walks inside and looks at Pepper.

          "Miss. Bloom? What the hell are you doing?" Dr. Steiner asked, walking up to her, and turned off the Bunsen burner. "A Bunsen burner is a laboratory equipment, it's not to be played with."

           "Would you relax? I wasn't gonna burn myself." Pepper told him.

          "Still, you shouldn't play with a Bunsen burner. Accidents do happen." Dr. Steiner said, putting the Bunsen burner on another table.

           "You're no fun." Pepper said to him. "Where's my parents?"

           "In a meeting in the conference room." Dr. Steiner told her. "And you should be in the main room, and not lollygagging."

          Pepper Bloom rolls her eyes, annoyingly. "Whatever."

Pepper gets up and walks away. But something catches her hearing as she looks up at an air vent.

          Pepper looks at Dr. Steiner. "Mr. Steiner?!"

Suddenly, an explosion happens and the explosive wave causes Dr. Steiner to fly backwards and hit against the wall. And another explosive wave causes Pepper to give the ability of pyrokinetic and she passed out.

Regaining his consciousness, Dr. Steiner slowly sits up upright against the wall and looks at Pepper, who is laying on the floor. She slowly sits up in a seated position with a flame around her body.

Pepper slowly gets up to her feet as she creates two flame balls in her hands.

            "Pepper?" Dr. Steiner said.

         Pepper looks at Dr. Steiner and smiles, menacing, at him. "I have the power."

Dr. Steiner becomes worried and Pepper walks away from him.

Present Day, at the GOLDEN GRIDDLE DINER . . .

Later that day, Jayson, Mavis and Frankie are sitting in a booth table across from each other with their chocolate vanilla milkshakes topped with whipped cream and a straw. And with breakfast burritos.

[Jayson Outfit]

          "So, your Dad is coming home this evening, you must be excited?" Frankie said to his best friend, Jayson, with a small smile.

             "Yeah, I am. So is my Mom." Jayson said. "He's been away in the military for a long time. When he comes home, he's gonna need to readjust to the small town civilization."

          "Yeah, the side effects of the military doesn't just go away." Mavis agreed, taking a sip of her milkshake.

            "Maybe, we can have a "welcome home" party for Mr. Reynolds. Family and friends at the Reynolds house." Frankie suggested.

            "Good idea, Frankie." Mavis said. "We can get food and drinks."

     Pepper slowly walks up to them with her coffee cup and donuts. "Hey, you guys." She greeted them with a small smile.

       "Hi, Pepper." Mavis greeted her with a small smile. "How are you?"

       "I'm doing good." said Pepper. "Can I join you guys for a little bit."

         "Yeah, sure. I'm Frankie." Frankie introduced himself to Pepper.

           "I'm Pepper." Pepper introduced herself to Frankie as she sits down in the booth table and shares her donuts.

        shortly after . . .

Jayson, Mavis, Frankie and Pepper are exchanging playful laughter with each other.

       Frankie notices Pepper's butterfly necklace. "I like your butterfly necklace."

     "Thank you." Pepper thanked him with a small smile. "I made it myself. It's from palladium."

       Jayson becomes a bit worried, but covers it up. "It's a very nice necklace, Pepper."

        "I appreciate it." Pepper said.

And then, Jayson sees a red aura around Pepper. And then, he remembers encountering Flamestar, who has the same red aura.

        "Jay?" Frankie said.

     "What?" Jayson said.

       "Dude, your nose, it's bleeding." Frankie told him, concerned.

Jayson puts his fingertips underneath his nose and looks at his fingertips again.

Blood on his fingertips.

       "Oh, shit. I'll be right back." Jayson said, getting up and walks away.

          "Is he okay?" Pepper asked, concerned.

        "He's gonna be okay." Mavis reassured Pepper.

          In the men's restroom, Jayson slowly walks up to the sink, dampens some paper towels and gently wipes his nose with it.

Jayson looks at himself in the mirror, worriedly, as he finds out Pepper Bloom is the supervillainess, Flamestar.

        "Pepper Bloom is Flamestar." Jayson said to himself.

Afterwards exiting the men's restroom, Jayson slowly walks back over to the booth table and sits back down in the booth table.

         "Are you alright?" Mavis asked.

         "Yeah, I'm fine. It's a little nose bleed, that's all." Jayson reassured her with a small smile.

Jayson, Mavis, Frankie and Pepper goes back to eating their breakfast foods and chatting with each other. Jayson looks at Pepper, who has a malicious look in her eyes.

Jayson squints an eye at her, now, knowing that Pepper's supervillainess Flamestar identity.

REYNOLDS HOUSE

Later that evening, a taxi drops off Jake Reynolds at his house. He wears his camouflage outfit as he pays the taxi driver and gets out of the backseat with his duffel bag.

He gently closes the backseat car door and the taxi driver drives away.

Jake Reynolds looks at his son, Jayson, who is sitting on the porch swing. The father and son exchange looks at each other as Jayson gets up and slowly walks down the four steps.

          "Hi, Jayson." Jake Reynolds greeted his son.

           "Hey, Dad." Jayson greeted his father.

      Jake Reynolds walks up to his son and they embrace in a hug after not seeing each other, (except through video chats), for a long while.

         "I missed you Dad." Jayson said to him.

       "I missed you too, Jay." Jake Reynolds said.

Jake Reynolds and Jayson gently pulls away from the hug and walks up to the house.

Jayson opens the door and he and his Dad walks inside.

         "Um, Jayson, why is it dark in the living room?" Jake asked.

And then, Jayson turns on the light switch in the living room.

        "Surprise!" Sheriff Susan Reynolds and everyone else said in unison.

Jake Reynolds smiles and chuckles to himself.

      "Welcome home, Honey." Sheriff Susan Reynolds said to her husband, Jake.

Sheriff Susan Reynolds and Jake shares a kiss and a hug.

        "Let's party." Jayson said.

And everyone smiles and chuckles with each other.

shortly after . . .

Family and best friends of the Reynolds are sitting in the living room with three boxes of pizzas and bottles of beers, along with a "Welcome home" cake.

Sheriff Susan's phone buzzes in her pants pocket. She excuses herself, getting up and slowly walks inside the kitchen as she answers her phone.

Jayson gets up and slowly walks inside the kitchen with her.

         "Okay, I'm on my way right now." Sheriff Susan said and hangs up her phone.

         "Mom?" Jayson said.

Sheriff Susan looks at her son, worriedly. "There's a fire at the Silvertroplis Newspaper Inc."

      "Okay, I'll meet you there." Jayson said.

Sheriff Susan walks back inside the living room. "I'm sorry, everyone. I gotta get going. There's a fire at the Silvertroplis Newspaper Inc."

          "And I have to take some more pictures for Mr. Cheetam." Jayson said.

Frankie turns on the TV, which has the news channel about the fire at the Silvertroplis Newspaper Inc.

Breaking News (TV) Good evening, there's been a fire at the Silvertroplis Newspaper Inc on the second floor. The supervillainess, Flamestar, was spotted flying out of the rooftop . . .

Sheriff Susan and Jayson walks away.

           "Please be careful." Jake Reynolds said to his wife and son.

         "We will, Dad." Jayson reassured him.

And Sheriff Susan and Jayson walks out of the house. He closes the door behind him.
