Season Two : Episode 11, New Beginnings

Three months into the new year and so far 2019 has been so far so good for the 118 especially for Becca.
Over the last few weeks things have been going good for her, with the kids doing better in school, her taking time out of a day to take care of herself more which her mother gets on her about.

And as for the job well you never know what to expect when it comes to being a firefighter, you just have to always be prepared.

The 118 arrived at Transformix Cosmetics after a call came in about a possible gas leak, the group all walked into the building wearing yellow hazmat
suits and carrying their equipment.

"What are we thinking? Gas leak?" Chimney Wondered

"Could be some pathogen the world's a crazy place these days." Hen Said

Bobby scans the area around holding up the multigas detector, "Negative for combustibles as
of now. Okay masks stay on for the duration."

They all nodded then walked further into the place following behind Bobby who led the way, Becca noticed that the area was suspiciously empty.

"Where is everyone? It's quiet." Becca Said

"Yeah too quiet." Buck Chimed in

Eddie looked into one of the rooms and spotted a woman laying unconscious on the ground behind the receptionist desk.

"Got one over here, she's got a pulse." He takes out his flashlight to check her pupils, "Pupillary response... normal."

"I'll go check to see if there's more people laying around." Becca Said, then walked off.

"Help! Please help! Please help me." A woman called out from the back

Bobby opened the door to a back room as they all entered, there was a patient awake but her skin was severed from the neck down and her tissue was visible, while several doctors were on the floor unconscious.

"Oh, help me. They're crushing me." She Begged, pointing to the doctors laying over her legs.

"Ma'am are you okay, what's your name?" Bobby Asked

"Sadie, please can you get them off me." She Said

"Okay, Buck, give me a hand over here. Chim and Violet check on the other doctors, Hen you check
on her." Bobby Ordered

"Wha-Wha-What's wrong?" Sadie Asked, panicking.

"Stop, stop, stop!" Bobby Said

"Ma'am don't touch your face, don't touch your face." Hen Said

"What the...?" Sadie Said, holding her bloody hand up after touching her exposed neck.

While Bobby and Buck both help up the doctors off her legs, Hen and Bobby walked over to the patient.

"Ma'am, it just looks like the staff here just wasn't 100% done before they lost consciousness. You're still under the effects of the general anesthesia,
which is good. Okay, we're gonna keep you nice
and numb. But I'm gonna need to put a cold compress on your face, okay?" Hen Explained

"Is there a stitch loose?" Sadie Asked, pointing to her face.

"Look, you're probably gonna feel cold, but you're not gonna feel any pain. We've got to preserve as
much tissue as possible when we travel you to a hospital." Bobby Continued

"Tissue?" She sits up in bed but this causes the skin from her forehead to fall down, "Oh, my face is off!" Sadie Said

"Oh my." Buck Quietly gasped

"My face is off!" Sadie Screamed

"Whoa, whoa, whoa it's okay calm down." Bobby Said, as Hen laid her gently back down.

"Same symptoms over here, Cap. She's sleeping like a baby, but she's stable." Violet Informed, while near an unconscious doctor.

"They run the anesthesia lines through the walls in
these places, don't they?" Bobby Asked

"What are you thinking, a leak or a rupture?" Chimney Said

"Yeah, then why isn't she out?" Buck Questioned

"Looks like she's receiving oxygen from the nasal cannula. Eddie, Becca you guys copy?" Bobby Said

"Yeah, Cap." Eddie Spoke into the radio

"I'm here." Becca Said

"What's you guy's status?" Bobby Asked

"The nurse I found behind the desk she's still stable and coming too." Eddie Informed

"Alright, Becca what about you?" Bobby Asked

"I found a couple more patients in back, also stable." Becca Said

"Okay, I'm gonna send Chim your way. You guys see if you can locate the tank supply room. You turn off anything that's got a knob or a valve in this place." Bobby Said, as Chimney jogged out the room.

"Got it." Eddie and Becca Replied

"A pipe must have busted, yeah." Buck Said

"It was probably the construction guys." Sadie Mentioned

"You saw construction guys?" Bobby Asked

"I heard 'em, right before I went under." Sadie Said, as Hen placed a cold compress over her face.

"I don't hear anything now." Hen Said

After meeting up with Eddie and Becca and locating the tank supply room, the three of them walked into the area which was under construction. There was a guy unconscious on a table, a man unconscious on the floor and one woman unconscious against a wall.

"I got her." Becca Said, walking over to the lady.

"I got this guy over here. Chimney, grab the guy on the table." Eddie Said

"On it." He kneeled down to the man, "Sir, can you hear me?" Chimney Said

Eddie checks the man's pulse near his neck, "Stable here."

Becca checks the woman's pulse then flashes her flashlight to check her pupils, "Mine's stable and her pupillary response looks good."

"This one's breathing." He tried to lift the man up but he couldn't, "This guy won't budge." Chimney Said

Eddie looks around the room as he hears the gas releasing, until he finds the broken pipe in the wall.

"Cap, found our leak." Eddie spoke into the radio

"Becca come here for a second." Chimney Said

"What's up?" Becca Said, walking over to him.

"This guy right here won't lift up.." Chimney Said

"Uh maybe he's stuck to something on the table, could be his belt buckle." Becca Said

"Yeah, hold on a sec," He takes out his flashlight and kneeled down, "Okay, let's see what we have here." Chimney Said

"Plugging the leak now." Eddie Said

"Copy that, Eddie."

Chimney and Becca both looks underneath the table and that's where they sees that, the man is currently pinned down onto the table saw blade.

"Ah shit." Becca Sighed

"Right. So there's that. Hey, Eddie, we need your help over here. Grab some tools." Chimney Said

"What do you need? Saws? Jaws?" Eddie Asked

"Wrench it looks we'll have to travel him with the blade." Becca Said

Moments later the three of them successfully and carefully got the man off the table, they held him up while the blade was still inside his chest.

"Easy. Easy." Chimney Said

A few more 118 members soon came in with more gurneys for the construction workers, Eddie, Chimney and Becca were patching the blade wound making it stable enough for the ride to the hospital.

"Measure twice, cut once." The man weakly said, while trying to sit up.

"Just lie still, buddy, we got you." Becca Assured, gently laying him back down.

"Okay, we're good here. Let Mercy General know
we're ten out." Eddie Said

In the hall Hen, Violet and Buck are wheeling out Sadie, as Chimney, Becca and Eddie are wheeling down their guy.

"Make a hole. Critical." Eddie Said, as they wheeled past them.

"What an interesting way to start off the day." Becca Said

Hen, Buck and Violet all looked at the guy being wheeled out and the blade sticking out, while Sadie had a worried look on her face.

"Okay, that's got to sting." Violet Said

"Oh my god." Sadie Said

"Don't worry, we're gonna take you to the hospital
and they will fix you right up." Buck Assured

"You'll still get your new beginning with your new face." Hen Said, sending her a smile.

"I'd be happy if I could just have the old one back." Sadie Admitted

Later that day since it was a Sunday and Justin wasn't bringing the kids back home till later, bored and having nothing going on this afternoon Violet who was invited by Buck and Maddie, then invited Becca to the gym with her.

An hour in the group had spread out around the gym, the duo we're working on separate things, while Violet was focusing more on her arms as
Becca was just solely just doing cardio today.

"I knew I should have just went home." Becca Said, as she was running on the treadmill.

"Please that's just you complaining because you're legs are burning." Violet Said, leaning on the treadmill next to her.

"Burning no more like they feel like jello." Becca Sighed

"Just keep running you've got one more mile," She patted her on the back, "Ooh I've got some news." Violet Said

"Yeah." Becca Said

"Remember my hot neighbor who lives two doors down from me, Brandon?" Becca nodded, "Yesterday when I was bringing in my groceries he joined me in the elevator, and we made casual conversation until your name got brought up." Violet Said

"Who brought up my name you or him?" Becca Asked

"He did and he was wondering if you were single and I of course told him yes, so he was wondering if he could have your number." Violet Said

"Oh Vi I can't do this right now." Becca Said

"Please and don't use that "I'm a mom I've got three kids" as an excuse because that didn't stop you before." Violet Said

"Okay I never use me being a mother as an excuse to not date," Violet raised a brow, "Fine maybe I do sometimes only if I'm not interested in the guy." Becca Said

"How can you not be interested Brandon looks like Hugh Jackman, but X-MEN : Wolverine Origins Hugh..how can you resist that." Violet Said

"See now you brought Hugh into this and you know what that man does to me," They both laughed, then she let out deep breath, "Fine..I'll consider talking to Brandon, and see where this goes." Becca Said

A small smile formed on Violet's face,"Yay trust me you won't regret it he's a nice guy."

"And I'm officially done." Becca Said, getting off the treadmill.

The sound of punching was heard as they turned around, there inside the boxing ring Maddie was seen punching boxing mitts that Buck was wearing.

"Looking good Maddie." Violet Said, as the brunette nodded to her smiling.

"Thanks." Maddie Said, then threw another punch at the mitt.

"Careful Maddie you don't wanna punch Buck to hard, I don't think he can handle it." Becca Teased, as she and Violet climbed up onto the ring apron's leaning on the ropes.

"Please I can handle a punch especially from my sister." Buck Said, as Becca sent him a playful smirk.

"There you go Mads, Just keep that tight. Nice, You are on fire with that sassy new haircut." Buck Said

"Sassy?" Maddie Said

"Yeah." Buck Said

"Sassy no I'd say it's giving more sophisticated." Violet Added, as Becca nodded.

"That's exactly what I was going for." Maddie Said, playfully flipping her hair back.

"Okay, let's, uh, let's work on that two-three-two combo. Okay, I want you to be ready with that devastating hook if you ever see Doug again." Buck Said

"Whoa. That is not why I'm doing this." Maddie Assured

"Really? You, uh, you don't want to kick your abusive ex's ass someday?" Buck Questioned

Becca scoffed, "'Cause I would."

"I'm not doing anything for Doug anymore, okay?
This is just the next chapter in Maddie's fresh start.
Come on, haircut, apartment, dispatcher of the month. I don't know if you heard." She Said, with a smile.

"About a thousand times. Come on." Buck Said

"Oh, is that what this is about? I'm thriving, and you can't handle it." Maddie Teased

"I'm great." He turned back to Becca and Violet, "Doing great over here." Buck Said

"Oh, yeah, you're doing great yet you're still sleeping in my dining room." Maddie Pointed out, as the girl's chuckled.

"That is a working progress." Buck Said

"Speaking of progress by the way, what happened
to Earthquake Girl what was her name again?" Maddie Said

"Ali." Becca Chimed in

"Ali right, how's that going?" Maddie Asked

"Is this your way of trash talking because if it is, your trash talk sucks." Buck Said

"No seriously how is that going Buck, you haven't really been dating ever since the last girl we don't speak of." Violet Said

"Uh Ali's around we're taking it slow." Buck Told

"Wait really you're taking things slow with this girl?" Becca Said, surprised.

"Yes like I said I'm not going back to being Buck 1.0, I like this version of me." He looks to Becca who nodded agreeing, "Besides She's, uh, she's in New York on business." Buck Said

"Why is it that every girl you date wants to either flee
the state of the country?" Maddie Questioned, jokingly.

"At least when I date someone, I date them. What's your excuse?" Buck Said

"What are you talking about?" Maddie Asked

"Uh-huh, How's Chimney?" Buck Retorted, as Maddie rolled her eyes.

"Chimney? We're friends." Maddie Said

"Maddie come on we love you and all, but even we all know you guys are more than friends." Becca Said

"The chemistry is right there out in the open." Violet Said

"And, ooh, you want to date him." Buck Added

"I never told you that." Maddie Said, throwing a hard punch.

"Oh, you didn't have to your fists are saying it. Intensity and speed notched up, like, 20% the
second I mentioned his name." Buck Said

"Shut up Buck." Maddie Said, laughed going to hit him but he held his hands up.

"Okay, easy. Let me ask you this. You're doing so well, you're-you're "thriving." Why can't you just date the guy?" Buck Asked

"Has it occurred that maybe I'm just still not ready." Maddie Said

"Well whenever you do decide..I'm sure Chim would gladly take you up on that inevitable date." Buck Said, patting his sister on the shoulder.

Two days later to get started with her day before work, Becca was downstairs in the dining room doing the usual making the kids their lunch. The front door opened, and in came Justin.

"Hey." Justin Said

"Hey, I'm in here." Becca Said, as Justin walked over into the dining room.

"Morning." Justin Said

"Morning, I'm almost finished here and they're upstairs packing their bags. Oh and since I have a 24 hour shift, the kids have a dentist appointment today after school and I really need you to take them I can't reschedule another week." Becca Said

"No problem sure I'll take them after school." Justin Said

"Thanks Justin." Becca Said, then zipped up Aryana's lunch box.

"Becca there's something I need to tell you..it's important." Justin Said

"Sure, what's up?" Becca Said

"So I've been keeping a secret from you and the kids," Becca furrowed her brows, "Over the past month I've been seeing someone." Justin Admitted

"Wait you have a girlfriend?" Becca Questioned

"Yeah, yeah she is." Justin Said

"Okay, um why did you feel the need to hide this from us?" Becca Asked

"Because I wanted to be sure and didn't want to bring her around, before I was %100 sure I really liked her." Justin Said

"And do you?" Becca Asked

"Yeah..I really do." Justin Said, as a small smile formed on his face.

"Justin that's great you don't need to hide your girlfriend from us, I mean I get wanting to be sure you don't want to bring him home any girl to the kids but if you like her..then don't hide it." Becca Said

"Really are you sure because she's been wanting to meet the kids, and you of course but whenever you guys are ready." Justin Said

"I'd love to meet her and I'm sure the kids would like to as well." Becca Said

"Great." Justin Said

"So what's her name what she like? Is she taller or shorter than me?" Becca Asked

"Okay, okay her name is Rosie Stratford, she's 27, a surgical resident over at Mercy General, around 5ft 1 and we met at the park she has a golden doodle." Justin Said

"Aw and you love Golden Doodles, this Meet cute story is sounding too good already." Becca Said

"I know right anyways her golden doodle ran up to me, very cute and friendly dog he name is Rizzo. Her owner runs up to me apologizing and it say it's okay, we had a casual conversation and her beauty was distracting..I was almost stuttering over my words.
But we parted ways and didn't exchange numbers, and I felt like damn I'm never going to meet her again until I did..and it was at that bakery near my house. You know it was my co-worker Carol's 50th birthday and I was in charge of getting the cake, and while I'm waiting for my cake there Rosie was waiting for her order of cupcakes." Justin Explained

"And that's when you asked for her number huh." Becca Said

"Yes, and we've been seeing each other ever since last month. And Becca I'm telling you if you meet her you'll love her." Justin Said

"That's up for me to decide remember, but if you say she's great then she's great. Hey why don't we all have dinner Friday?" Becca Said

"Yeah that sounds great I'm sure the kids would love that." Justin Said

"Everything's going to be fine Justin, this is your new beginning be happy about it." Becca Said, as he gently rubbed his arm.

"I know, thanks for being cool about this." Justin Said

"No problem Justin, now let's get these kids to school." Becca Said, picking up the lunch boxes as the two of them walked out the dining room.

Hours into the shift a call came in about an incident on the freeway, but it wasn't just your average car accident it was actually an animal incident with a shark to be exact.

"LAFD. Make room!" Bobby Said

As the 118 made their way through the crowd they stopped in their tracks, as they saw a Tiger Shark chewing down on a man's arm.

"Whoa." Eddie Said

"What the hell?" Buck Said

"Tiger shark we were transporting her for release into the wild, the Truck jackknifed." A wildlife rescuer spoke up

"Jaws!" Bobby Said

"Right." They all looked to him incredulously, "Oh, right. Those Jaws. Jaws!" Chimney Said

"I'm on it." Eddie Said

The man groaned out loudly in pain as the sharks bite's him again, Chimney, Becca and Violet slowly approached the scene.

"How'd his arm get in there?" Violet Asked

"Diego was trying to get what water was left in our pump system. She can't breathe without it!"

"How much time does she have left?" Hen Asked

"Minutes."

"Uh, do we wait that long or, just, you know..." Buck Said, holding up a halligan bar ready to swing but Bobby stops him.

"No, no, don't kill her! She's come so far." Diego Pleaded

"All right, guys, we're gonna do this really carefully.
All right, come on. Let's get in there." Bobby Said

Eddie walks over with the jaws as Chimney and Hen hold onto Diego, while the others help hold down the shark. The Jaw then breaks the grip from the shark as Diego's arm is now free.

"All right, let's get him transported, now!" Bobby Ordered

Hen, Chimney and Violet helped Diego onto a gurney as they aided to his wound.

"Don't let her die. Please." Diego Begged

"Breathe easy. You're gonna be fine." Chimney Said

"Let's get him up!" Violet Said, then they rolled him over to the ambulance truck.

Bobby and Becca looked back at the shark as the rescuers were pouring water over her, to make sure she still has time.

"Cap, is there a chance we could help them out clearly they really don't want her to die." Becca Said

"Don't worry Becca I've got an idea, but I'm gonna need all hands on deck with this one." Bobby Said

Waving for most of the members to come over to explain the new plan, they were all able to get the Shark attached to the end of the ladder truck hoisted into the air so she'll be able to get a safe transport.

Soon they were all off and drove to the dock, where the rescue team had originally planned on releasing the Shark. Bobby, Becca and Eddie stood on the dock as Buck and Violet took the lead in lowering the Shark near the water.

"That's far enough." Buck Said, as Violet got out the truck as the wildlife team went to go finish the job.

They released her from the hold she was in and swam into the water. Everyone stood around for a moment as they waited for her to come back up to the surface.

"Come on, swim." Buck Said, quietly.

"Give her a moment." Violet Said

And just at that her fin was visible above water, everyone began clapping and smiling happily.

"Hey, too bad Diego is missing this." Buck Said

"He's not missing anything!" He Said, while recording a video on his phone.

"Whoo! Swim girl Swim!" Becca Said, clapping then high fived Eddie.

Buck glanced over at the brunette and found it adorable at how happy she looked, seeing how caring Becca truly is he really found that admirable about her.

The next day came as their 24 hour shift was coming to and end, thankfully there was only an hour left before they all go home. After they all ate lunch Becca sat at the couch rubbing her belly, she let out a long and loud burp.

"Whoa, I don't think I've ever heard a girl burp that loud before and I have a sister." Buck Joked

"Excuse me sorry." Becca Said

"Nah it's okay," He sits down on the couch next to her, "Hey." Buck Said

"Hey, question for you do you think I should have my hair up or down?" Becca Asked

"What?" Buck Said

"My hair up or down?" Becca Repeated

"Why are you asking me this? What are you getting a haircut or something?" Buck Asked

"No. I'm going to a dinner tomorrow with Justin and the kids, he's going to introduce his new girlfriend to us." Becca Said

Buck's eyes widened, surprised, "Wait, Justin has a girlfriend..since when?"

"Since last month and he really really likes her." Becca Mentioned

"Wow, and how do you feel about that?" Buck Asked

"I feel fine honestly look Justin and I are past the stage where we should feel jealousy towards each other. We've been divorced for almost three years,
I think it's about time he starts dating again and if she's the one for him..then so be it." Becca Said

"Look at you Becca being all mature most women in your position wouldn't be as welcoming and okay about this." Buck Said

"Yeah well I'm not like most women." Becca Replied

"Good for Justin he's a good looking guy, I mean if I were a woman I'd date him." Becca raised a brow at him, "What? I'm just saying." Buck Said

"No I just find your boy crush on Justin adorable," She laughed, "I agree he's good looking Rosie is a lucky girl." Becca Said

"Just think in a few years if they last she'll be Bryan, Aryana and Dylan's step mom." Buck Said

"Yeah well that's all she'll be okay, cause at the end of the day I'm their mom always will be me Rebecca Martinez." She Said, crossing her arms over her chest.

"They know that don't worry, it's only been a month I'm teasing." Buck Said, chuckling gently patting her thigh.

"Whatever, hey are you doing Saturday?" Becca Asked, turning her body towards him.

"I don't know yet why?" Buck Said

"Cause that new Captain Marvel movie came out, and the kids have been begging me for weeks to take them. And since we're both off I was wondering-" Becca Said

"And you want me to join you and the kids." Buck Said

"Yes please, Violet was supposed to but she took another shift cause she's a little behind on her rent this month. And I asked Eddie but he and Chris already saw the movie, so your my last hope." Becca Said

"I don't know Becca I was thinking of just relaxing on Saturday, and I feel kind of offended that you asked me last-" Buck Trailed on, as Becca playfully punched him in the shoulder.

"Please, please Buck I could really use the company and I don't want the kids to get upset with me if I almost fall asleep..again..please." Becca Said, pouting her lips and clasping her hands together.

"Don't give me that look, you're making it really hard to say no." Buck Said

"Come on Evan, I'll pay for you ticket." Becca Said

"Will you buy me popcorn?" Buck Asked

"I'll buy you a ticket and that's it." Becca Said, pointing at him.

"Fine, I'll come join you and the kids Saturday." Buck Said

"Yes," She leaped over the couch and gave him a hug, "Gracias, I'll owe you one next time." Becca Said

"Oh I won't forget." Buck Said, as she rolled her eyes then looked over the balcony as she noticed someone.

"Hey, look it's your sister." Becca Said

"Maddie, what is she doing here?" Buck Wondered, then Becca shrugged her shoulders.

Downstairs Maddie is entering the station carrying an envelope, Chimney exits the locker room but stops once he sees her.

"Hey. What are you doing here? Looking for Buck?" Chimney Asked

"No, actually, I came to see you, give you this." Maddie Said, passing him the envelope.

"Oh. Okay." He opens it up to find papers, "Divorce papers? This feels so sudden." He Joked as she chuckles, "This is, uh, a really big step, Maddie. I mean, he's gonna know where you are." Chimney Said

"Mhm." Maddie Said

"You sure about this?" Chimney Asked

"Yeah, I know it's a risk but the only way I'm ever
gonna feel free of him..is to be free of him." Maddie Said

"Okay. If you're sure, then, uh, I'm here for you, whatever you need." Chimney Said

"Well, you told me once that your calendar was wide open, when I was ready." Maddie Said

Chimney slowly filled in the gap between them, "Just, uh, name the date and time."

"Friday, 7:00 p.m." Maddie Replied

"Actually, I'm kind of busy.." Maddie furrowed her brows, "I'm kidding. Yes. I can't wait." Chimney Said

"Okay." Maddie Said, as they both laughed.

"Great." Chimney Said

"Okay. I'll see you Friday night." Maddie Said

"Friday." Chimney Nodded

Maddie leaned in then gave him a soft kiss on the cheek, she caressed his cheek then walked off as Chimney smiled ear to ear but over heard whistling and a applause.

He turned around to see Bobby clapping, Becca and Violet whistling, Hen and Eddie cheering him on as Buck stood there smiling approvingly.

"Well played, well played." Bobby Said

"Way to go Chim!" Becca Said

"Hey, when's the wedding?" Violet Joked

"Whoa, to soon Vi..way too soon." Buck Said, as they all laughed.

Friday finally came and thankfully Becca's shift was only 7 hours, once she was done with work she spent a few fours with the kids getting them ready for the night and explaining what's going to happen at the dinner.

But as she as home Maddie called her for help, as she as having a so called emergency which meant she didn't know what to wear or do with her hair.

Becca being so kind offered to help her, but luckily Violet offered to watch the kids until she came back from helping Maddie. At her apartment Becca was seen applying eyeshadow on Maddie, while she was sitting on her bed.

"Okay, and we are officially done." Becca Said

"Really?" Maddie Said

"Yes stand up and take a look." Becca Said

Maddie stood up to take a look in the mirror and smiled at how nicely she looked in her outfit, especially her makeup look.

"Wow Becca you did an awesome job, I wish I was this good at makeup." Maddie said

"Years of watching my mother and abuela do their makeup in the mirror finally paid off." Becca Said

"No seriously thank you so much you saved my ass, I was almost about to cancel the date." Maddie Said

"Thank god you didn't you deserve this date, you look beautiful and Chim's definitely going to want to go on another date." Becca Said

"Okay, thanks again Becca." Maddie Said, as she hugged her.

"No problem now I better go don't want to be late to this dinner. But before I go can I use your bathroom, don't want to be on the road holding my bladder trust me it's not fun." Becca Said

"Sure go ahead, I'm gonna head downstairs I think I hear my phone ringing." Maddie Said

"Okay, I'll meet you down there." Becca Said

Maddie stands up to leave her room she walked down the stairs quickly, then picked up her phone off the console table.

"Donna?" Maddie Said

"Hey, Maddie, it's me." Donna Said

"Hey. Uh, how did it go? Did you guys serve Doug
with the divorce papers?" Maddie Asked

"No. Maddie, we can't find him." Donna Mentioned

Maddie looks at her security camera where she sees Chimney waving holding flowers. She presses the button giving him access as he opened the gate entering the complex, someone else sneaks in
behind him.

"Wait, what?" Maddie Said

"The process server made multiple attempts, talked to his neighbors. Nobody's seen Doug for months." Donna Explained

Maddie furrowed her brows, "Okay, that doesn't make any sense. Did you try his work?"

"He was asked to take some personal time, after he paid your old boss a visit. He was convinced she
knew where you were..Maddie it got physical."

"Laurie? Oh, my God. How bad?" Maddie Said

"Don't worry she's okay security showed up and Doug ran, but nobody's seen him since." Donna Said

In the walkway of the apartment complex Chimney hears footsteps behind him, as he turns to see who it is all he sees is a black hooded figure who plunges a knife into his stomach several times.

Chimney drops to the ground and instantly touches at his stomach, he sees his hands are covered in blood and watches as the hooded figure walk away towards Maddie's apartment.

"No.." Chimney Said, weakly.

Back inside the apartment Maddie is still on the phone with her lawyer informing her about Doug.

"It's like a nightmare except I never wake up." Maddie Sighed

"I have investigators looking for him but be careful, Maddie."

"Thanks." She let out a deep breath, "You are not gonna believe this." Maddie Said

As she turned to face whom she thought was Chimney entering her apartment, instead it was
the hooded person. They take off their hood revealing their face as Maddie lets out a gasp.

"Hey, babe." He Said

"Doug." Maddie Said, stepping back as he approached her.

"I've been looking everywhere for you, did you seriously think you could hide from me forever." Doug Said

"That was the plan Doug." Maddie Retorted

"Well the fun's over Maddie no more games let's go." Doug Demanded, taking her hand only for her to yank it away.

Maddie stared him in the eyes, she took a deep breath. "No..Doug I'm not going anywhere with you."

Doug raised a brow and started chuckling to himself,
"That's cute real cute you're taking a stand, so what after all this time away from me you've gain some confidence or something?"

"Yeah, I'm taking a stand Doug..I can't do this anymore not with you." Maddie Told

"I'm sorry but do think you have a choice especially after you ran away from me," Doug raised up the knife in his hand, "You lost that right a long time ago."

Maddie noticed the blood on his knife and looked at him worriedly, "Who's blood is that?"

"It doesn't matter, Maddie let's go." Doug Brushed off, moving closer to her.

"No." Maddie Replied, stepping away from him.

Doug closes his fist and starts tapping his foot out of frustration, he glances back up at Maddie then lunges at her grabbing her arm.

"Ow!" Maddie Groaned out

"You just love to piss me off don't you Maddie." Doug Gritted through his teeth

"Doug your hurting me let me go." Maddie Begged

"No, now stop with the bullshit and come o-" Doug Said

He stopped pulling on Maddie as he heard a door open and footsteps approaching, Becca is then seen wiping her wet hands on her pants walking towards the steps.

"Maddie you wouldn't happen to have napkins do you—Whoa Jason what are you doing here?" Becca Said

"Becca, what's she doing here?" Doug Asked, looking to Maddie.

"Jason? Jason Bailey so your Chimney's friend?" Maddie Said, in disbelief.

"You didn't answer my question what are you doing here?" Becca Asked, concerned while walking down the stairs.

Doug let's Maddie go and hides his knife, "Look Becca I can explain-"

"Becca he's not Jason this is Doug!" Maddie Said

"Wait Doug as in your-" Becca Said

"Yes my husband go get help now!" Maddie Said

Becca glanced at Doug who looked at her with an intimidating look, the brunette stood on the bottom step for what felt like an eternity as she decided on wether to leave Maddie or go get help then slowly made her way towards the door.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Doug Said, taking out his knife.

"Becca please leave." Maddie Pleaded

Becca slowly moved towards the little table near the front door as she was inches away, her eyes then glanced down at the pen and picked it up.

"I said don't move..trust me you don't want me to hurt you." Doug Threatened

"You know..I always had this weird feeling about you, and I was always told to trust my gut and boy was I right. Doug you're a pathetic excuse of a man, Maddie deserves better than you and I think she did with Chimney because I know for damn sure that he's a better man than you'll ever be." Becca Said

"Oh I wouldn't be so sure about that, Chimney's a good guy and all but he'll never be good enough for Maddie." Doug Said

"I have to disagree with you Dougie, cause he already is." Becca Said, with a proud smirk.

Feeling fed up and annoyed Doug grabs Becca by the throat, Becca then goes to go stab him with the pen in her hand. He grabs her wrist stopping her from doing so, clearly seeing that he was stronger than her and was struggling against him, Becca then went below by stomping on his foot.

Doug let's out a loud groan bending over as she was free from him, Becca takes this opportunity to knee him in the stomach then punches him in the face which knocks the wind out of Doug sending him down as he winced in pain.

"Oh my god." Maddie Said, as Becca ran over to her checking if she was okay.

"Are you okay?" Becca Asked

"I'm okay, but are you okay?" Maddie Asked

"I'll be okay you can thank me later for that, but come on we've gotta get out of here now." Becca Said

Maddie looked at her estranged husband down the ground bleeding from his nose while being pulled away. Both brunettes made a run for the door rushing past Doug.

Maddie got to the door first quickly opening it as Becca was right behind her ready to leave, then all of a sudden she felt her hair getting tugged hard.

"Going somewhere." Doug Said

"Let go of me bastard." Becca Retorted

"Becca, no, no, Doug let her go please!" Maddie Begged

"Maddie run!" Becca Yelled, as she tried getting out of Doug's grasp.

"Becca I don't wanna leave you." Maddie Said, tearfully.

"Just go!" Becca Pleaded, as Maddie looked at the cracked open front door.

"No if you leave so help me god Maddie I will kill her, I'm not kidding get your ass back here now!." Doug Threatened, holding his knife up to Becca's throat.

Wanting to stay and help her friend knowing that it's the best thing to do, but Becca gives her pleading look for her to run but Maddie closes the door.

"Okay I'll go with you." Maddie Said

"Maddie no." Becca Said

"Shut up." Doug Spat, as he nicked Becca's neck
with the knife making her bleed.

"Ow!" Becca Winced, as blood dripped down her neck.

"Now, what did you just say?" Doug Asked

"I said I'll go with you but only if you let Becca go, she's got nothing to do with this." She stated, "She has a family, she has three kids who really need her, just please don't hurt her and I'll go." Maddie Begged

"Really?" Doug Questioned, squinting his eyes.

"...Yes." Maddie Said

"Maddie don't go with him he'll hurt you." Becca Begged, shaking her head.

"I'll be fine Becca," She locked eyes with her husband, "Doug let her go...for me." Maddie Said, as Doug nodded then let go of Becca.

"That's my girl glad you're finally coming to your senses very smart, but babe if we're truly going to leave together there's something I have to do first." Doug Said

Before she knew it Becca felt a sharp pain rush through out her body in an instant, she slowly looked down as she saw Doug thrusting the knife
twice into her lower abdomen.

Maddie's eyes widen in shock witnessing this all happening, Becca tries to catch her breath and speak but it felt totally impossible as the pain was so overwhelmingly painful. Doug then swiftly takes
his knife out of her as Becca falls to the ground
hard while spitting up blood.

"Oh my god, oh my god, no Becca no!" She tries to run to her but Doug grabs her, "You told me you were going to let her go, why would you do that?!" Maddie Cried out

"I had no choice did you really think she was just going to let me take you away from here smoothly.
She was going to call the cops on me, and I can't have the police on my ass because of her." Doug Explained

Maddie's eyes start to get watery looking down at Becca who's groaning out in pain. She looked back up at Doug in such shame and disgust.

"She didn't deserve that Doug." Maddie Said

"Yeah Becca probably didn't but this was your fault." Doug Said, sternly.

"My fault?" Maddie Said, tearfully in disbelief.

"Yes and now her death will be on your hands, so you'll have to live with that." Doug Said, poking her hard in the chest.

Maddie looked back down at Becca who was laying on her back, as her stomach was leaking of blood she reaches her hand out for her.

"Maddie.." Becca Said, weakly.

"I'm so sorry Becca." Maddie Said, sobbing as Doug grabbed her hand.

"We've got to go now, come on." Doug Said

"No let go of me!" Maddie Said, shoving him away from her.

Doug out of frustration and annoyance of his wife glared at her, then took a hard swing at her face knocking Maddie down. Being that it's been a long time since he's hit her, the feeling always hurt then rubbed her jaw.

Having enough of this Doug got her up and dragged Maddie out the apartment by her arm forcefully as she looked back as her friend bleeds out on the floor. Feeling completely hopeless and unable to move her body, Becca just laid there on the ground as Maddie and Doug left.

"No.." Becca Said

Now injured and alone and bleeding profusely all Becca could think about was her friends and family how she's going to miss them so much if this is it, thinking about the last moment she spent with Bryan, Aryana and Dylan.

Tears slipped out of her eyes as she was wishing
and praying that this isn't the end for her, as she probably still has more to give in this world. But
all Becca could feel was body going into shock and feared that her life was slowly fading.

She felt her eye's getting heavy and tried to so hard keep them open, but kept struggling. Becca slowly opened her eyes once more turning her head to see her phone ringing near her leg, she tried to reach for it but simply moving caused more pain.

But as she tried again this time reaching it, her hands covered in blood made it hard to open her phone. Her eyes once again started to feel heavy again the brunette couldn't hold on any longer and dropped the phone and just like that everything went black.
